Glass Pipes + Airports?

Good or bad idea?

I'm going Europe for a while in May and I was wondering if there is any legal issues with packing a glass bowl in my luggage. Considering it'd be new with no resin whatsoever or any use. Would I get caught and would it be a bad idea?

I think you'd probably be alright, but it seems a little unnecessary. Just buy a little cheapo piece when you get there and toss it when you leave

I would research it out and see if it is legal..if it isn't, then just buy another peice when you get there

What are pipes sold for? Tobacco!!!! So as long as no marijuana residue is present on your TOBACCO pipe u will be fine and dandy. And if they question you about it guess what you say? i gave u a couple hints im sure you can figure it out lol. have fun on your vacation im very jealous, europe is a destination ive wanted to hit for quite some time now:D.

No problem at all as long as there isn't any resin in it.

he said it. i went to california durring christmas and picked up a big glass bowl on venice beach and had no problem getting it back here to DE.

yea dude no problem i went to japan for 3 weeks this past summer and brought back LOADS of pipes (none of which had been smoked in...yet:wtf:) and i was one of the random ppl to get searched and they founds everything and smelled it and asked "so what r u gonna do with all this stuff" I said "smoke hookah tabacco" and they couldnt do shit so go for it:rastasmoke:

I guess I just don't see the point.
Legally you can probably do it. But why bring unwanted attention to yourself if it is found?

I could buy a water pipe "Bong" and fill it with tobacco and go sit on main street and smoke it. But why would I want to I don't need the attention.

Just my 2 cents.

If a bunch of people started smoking tobacco out of bongs in public, the police would have a hard time identifying people smoking pot in public with a bong, unless they smelled it. If this could be organized, and done perpetually, think about what effect that would have on the system.

I'm with dreadscale on this one. You're gonna have to toss it anyway when you come back. So why deal with the hassle. Just buy one when you get there.
