Looking for alternate ways of consumption

i used to have a nice little glass piece....but it was glass, so you know....it broke. Now i just use a socket attached to an ink pen (all pieces taken off of course) Which i've read is better for your lungs? (one hitters are healthier i guess). I used to be a smoker (cigarettes) but have quit that. So i'd like to use other ways than smoking pot. I know of brownies, and using bud butter. Is there other ways of making a liquid form of it, like in Green Dragon, but without the use of alcohol? I dont drink so i dont really want to make Green Dragon. Thanks for any help.

Check out our recipes section down below..there are a few different drinks you can make without alcohol.

Theres really only 3 'main' methods. Smoking, Cooking, and Green Dragon. Cause you need heat to get the THC out of the bud. But alcohol either absorbs the THC or reacts with it somthin. So you cant rail a line of bud, or somehow melt it down and drink it.

If your lungs are harsh stick with that one hitter. Or go buy a Vaporizor. (Research that first)

Or go with cooking is really your only option. And once you do it right its easy. Or go with tea. Ive never made it but that sounds like your best option. But I just find smoking weed the best. Instant gratification and no mess.

Its not so much that my lungs are harsh....i just thought i'd be a little bit healthier about it. I also read that bongs are healthier too. I guess the process of it filtering through the water makes it better. I havent tried cooking yet, but someday i'll find the time and energy to go through that process. I'm probally gonna stick with my one hitter....although maybe buy a nice one....not a socket.

Are vaporizors expensive? I've heard of those, but havent looked them up. I've tried the light bulb vap....but it didnt really work.

Since my last post that will resemble this post almost word for word, since its the same question. Let see if this one will also get deleted for absolutely no reason.

I don't understand how a socket with a pen attacked to it, would be "better" for your lungs than a glass pipe. As I also don't understand how a socket with a pen attacked would also be a "better hitter" than a glass pipe.... However... putting those aside.... if you want something less harsh I WOULD ABSOLUTELY recommend a bong. A bong or "water pipe" are:
1: Cheap.... You can get a small good hitting bong for 15-25$ where I live here in Portland.
2: Better hits.... You can fill a bong with more smoke than a pipe, thus causing a more concentrated cloud of weed smoke to be inhaled and giving you a "higher high".
3: Its filtered.... While smoking through a bong, the smoke travels through a resovoir of water, filtering it, thus making less harsh.

I personally think this is your best bet, since its cheap, and effective and I'd say personally with use and experience is a lot less harsh then a pipe. Plus, you don't have to dish out 400 for a volcano, which is a amazing machine.

I use a steamroller. It beats a one hitter in effectiveness. Everyone who's tried my glass steamroller has always screamed about how they only got this high off bongs. The more surface your smoke touches, the less healthy it gets.

i didnt say it was a better hitter than my glass pipe i used to have. cause it definately doesnt hit as good. i was just saying i read that one hitters are better for your lungs. i've used the socket/pen for a bong too (using a powerade bottle) and it works great. The nearest shop is quite a ways away so its hard to find pieces. I'm not worried about harshness, i've been smoking for a while...i'm used to it. I was just looking for a healthier way...my lungs have taken a beating over the years of smoking pot...and cigarettes, so i was looking to give them a little rest....and quitting pot is definately out of the question.


.....and man....i hate blunts. I only smoke them if someone else is smoking it....and one of my smokin buddies ONLY smokes blunts. They ruin the taste for me....and i like the taste of weed.

steam rollers are nice too. I've smoked out of a couple real badass steamrollers.

alright....one more quick question. I'm trying to come up with a good time here. I've read through a lot of recipes on here. So i can just make butter and say....but it on some toast or some shit and get ripped? If thats the case....what do i do....just melt some butter on the stove and throw bud in it? Maybe i need to read harder, but i didnt see a detailed description on making JUST butter.

Its really actually simple:
melt butter
add bud(low low low low low heat setting or a crockpot w/ a temp control)
I use the crockpot on low for 6-12Hrs then strain(cheesecloth, a thin shirt or cloth of some type)
Stick the liquid butter into the fridge and viola.... It will congeal to a solid block for easy manipulation.

The cheapest vape that works pretty well would be the Aromazap. Use to sell for $100. Now it sells for $135 USD. (that's including shipping)

Hotbox, Vapolution, and Vapor Brothers all have devices in the same price range.

VaporGenie is a pipe that uses an anti-flame screen. I think those sell for around $35-50 USD.

If you're looking for a healthy solution. And a solution that doesn't use lots of green ....

A vape is probably your best option. You can also cook with the dried leftovers of the vape.

lol yeah eating is definately the healthiest, with vaporizer's in close second. Now when you add the bud to the water you want to make sure its ground as fine as possible, that way theres more surface area and the THC and other cannabinoids(lol its trying to tell i spelled it wrong!) have a better chance of being leached into the butter. And a vaporizer essentially boils THC without burning any plant matter. Good luck and happy toking!

Sorry to get off topic here, but I heard it was just a myth that you need heat to activate the THC in the pot? At least that's what Erowid says: Erowid Cannabis Vault : Cannabis Consumption FAQ

lighters give off heat, thats how they start fires.

you buy a vaporizer if you don't want to smoke.

Make some simple firecrackers. I don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread as I didn't bother to read yet, but making them is simple and delicious.

I prefer to use Almond Butter instead of organic P.B. as A.B. has a much higher fat content.

Check out the Recipes forum here on how to make them. They don't smell like cannabis at all when I make them. They barely smell at all actually and get me ripped.

hash oil im not sure if the recipe is still in their but i made some some time ago and it was FANTASTIC to eat, i had about a quarter of bud i didnt want i forgot why but we got really baked and decided to make some so we used a technique mentioned on cannabis.com and licked a plate clean each and were completely out of it the rest of the day
