Can budd make you hallucinate?

Hey stoners,

I only smoke budd when I can get it (I could get it often but I only buy it when someone is selling it) so inbetween stoning sessions my tollerance never builds. This is why I can get *absolutely* hammered off a strong joint, so I guess I get the extreme end of 'high'. Of course there are only several memorable sessions that stick out in my memory where in my oppinion I have hallucinated, though I had this conversation with my best friend and he says that MJ does not cause them.

A few of my experiences include sitting next to a buisy road surrounded by trees and fields smoking (strongest I have ever had IMO) where the sound of the cars driving past blurred into the sound of a waterfall and the feeling of the smoke pouring out my mouth and nose was, well difficult to describe, but equainted to being adement I was sitting next a waterfall and being brought back to reality occasionally then drifting back to a state believing I was in the amazon.. :wtf: other times when I have been on my own I have day dreamed/imagined (??) myself being made of metal (this was a scary stone btw :( ) and I seem to remember monsters of some sort.. :wtf: the last one for now.. (:D) is watching the TV and being able to predict what is going to happen, and being exactly correct.. well I guess this is not strictly a hallucination but trippy a fuck..

I hallucinate to some extent everytime I smoke. Some of my friends also experience this. At the same time, however, other friends have never hallucinated from Cannabis.

Cannabis IS a Psychedelic drug. Just because you've never hallucinated from smoking doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

well ive never seen any pink elephants or had any sort of visual manifestations when i was high. im glad for that, i would think i were smoking something laced.

its not like you fuckin see random shit like leprachauns that arent there....its like you see objects but they clearly look like a different object...

Its rarely OEV, and when it is, it seems to be dots or lines moving about subtly on a wall (for example).

I sometimes also get breathing walls from time time, edges of objects wiggling, so on and so forth.

Most of the time its CEV, and that can get pretty out there.

At least thats what I get.

Cannabis can cause mild hallucinations. In my experience these usually materialise in the form of sounds. Sometimes when I am lying in bed I sort of hallucinate music, often it is like nothing I have ever heard before, like some experimental techno, and occasionally I dream music I have never heard. Sometimes when I close my eyes in bed I also have visual hallucinations, like fractal patterns that morph into random scenarios, like a mountain scape, or people, or anything really. I don't know if they can strictly be called hallucinations, although one time in my early days as a toker I woke up in the night and there was a blue face floating in front of my eyes, not with very distinct features, more like a computer drawing sort of thing. Around 6 years ago I took a bus from Pushkar in India to Udaipur overnight, and for the journey i took along a bottle of "full power" bhang lassi, a yoghurt drink made from marijuana leaves that is legal in that part of India. The noise this old bus made on the bumpy road turned into music, like this minimal electro mix, quite possibly the most enjoyable bus journey i have ever taken.

Yes it can make you hallucinate. I had some hallus before. Especially one time last year on a festival. We smoked plural joints, did some pipes and some bong hits. And on the end of the day I was tripping pretty hard. I had to crawl back to my tent over the floor. In my head I could fly. It took me in fact more than 10 minutes (in my mind less than a minute) to get back in my tent, which was only about 10 meters away. It can also be a little side effect off the salvia I did earlier that day, I smoked it only in the noon, round 10.
Also got other times hallucinations while being totally stoned.

I agree with the CEV, it happens a lot even when I'm sober so it's very easily possible while fried

the only time ive ever seen something that i actually looked at that wasnt really their was after taking 8 CCC and smoking, and i hadnt seen shit before smoking, but i have no doubt that it wasnt weed that caused the visual, it just sort of put me on the moon when it comes to where i was.

and for those who want to know i saw my friend turn into a raccoon, and then a minute later they became normal again. It may have something to do with the fact that a few days earlier i had almost ran over a raccoon in my car, and i was once again in a car.

my trips tend to cause a more fearful approach, i am always scared that someone will know, not that anything will happen, but more that people know and they stare at me, and ill occassionally make up sirens, i live near a hospital and a police station, and several volunteer firehalls, so it is easy for me to feel as though these sounds are real to me.

That's the bloody thing though isn't it, you can never remember the tune. When you wake up you can recollect it somewhat, and it is the best music you've ever heard, but you can't really remember how it went for much longer after you come out whatever trance/sleep you were in. Somehow though, it feels like it was real. I suppose maybe it's because you only heard it one time, I can't ever remember hearing the same tune twice whilst in a dream/trance.

The answer is yes, the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me was i having a conversation about god knows what with my television. My friend was trying to convince me that i was talking about the tv yelling at me. I'm not sure.. but yeah you can hallucinate

It's effects being so broad...It's known to sometimes be able to cause auditory hallucinations, but usually that's in people who don't smoke much at all...After I had taken a break one time I can recall smoking some killer and my mind was playing tricks on me, I'd think I'd see things that weren't really there once I started to look and think about it..

Nah cause when you look at it straight on it looks like the normal object. in my opinion the only visuals you cant get from weed are in your peripheral vision alterations like a coat-rack with a bunch of jackets could looks like a person out of the corner of your eye. it might be because i smoked so often that my tolerance wont let me achieve a high so intense. kudos to whoever can see things i wish i could get that high.

I only get visual hallucinations when I close my eyes, sometimes... It's the same as when you close your eyes and you start to day dream, or fall asleep, smoking cannabis just makes them most intense and lucid.

an actual hallucination is the brain's reception of a false sensory input, and a person really is experiencing an event through one of their senses that isn't actually occuring

I've never strictly hallucinated from weed. But I do remember seeing a shadow far away that coloured itself into Bart Simpson.. haha, that was funny.. Its a psychedelic drug man, not a very strong one, but im sure the virgin lungs must experience some hallucinations if given good weed in a good dose.

What is a false sensory input? Surely the term hallucination implies that there is no sensory input. Perhaps though all hallucinations do have some sort of sensory input and it's our perception of them that causes the distortion of reality. Certainly though, when I am stoned and I close my eyes and suddenly i see a dragon flying through a dense forest, it is NOT real. Still can't discount the possibility of a sensory input either. It is very difficult to completely isolate yourself from any sensory input. The creature in the One video by Metallica came close, but even then spiritual energies could be channeling themeslves through his chakras as he lay there on the bed.

How do you know anything you see isn't a hallucination?

Can it make visuals distorted? Yes! When I get really high and I'm sitting there zoning out (generally by myself) things will be "waving" back and forth. Also, I have noticed the "breathing" phenomenon that I've had on mushrooms as well when I'm REALLY high on weed. This is all OEV mind you. CEVs show pretty patterns when I close my eyes that appear randomly by themselves. Auditory hallucinations I get more when I'm smoking a sativa-dominant strain. One time I was blazing some Satori out in the back yard and I kept hearing sounds like kids playing outside, yet nothing of the sort was happening.

Also, about what the guy said about cars driving by when you're really high. It does sound like the sounds are "expanding" across the universe. Hard to describe.

It's not nearly as intense as "real" psychedelic drugs, but marijuana can give some cool distortions.

oh my days, lol this topic reminds me of my first experience of "lungs"/a bottle bag.

It was when i first started smoking it a couple of summers back, i had one and was so nicely baked and feeling on top of the world, then a mate offered me another one, i shouldnt have had another but i didnt know any better!

I ended up in a coughing fit that wouldnt stop, then i found i had no use of my legs! lmao
when i did get walking again i saw the world as a giant bouncy castle, it was all made out of jelly.. apparently i was even "bouncing" on it. i also ate a tuna and sweetcorn baguette... I HATE TUNA AND SWEETCORN. lol
i then passed out in my boyfriends bed for 6 hours!! and felt fine again when i woke up. :thumbsup:

Only real bad hallucenation, but hellish funny ;)

One time I was smoking out of a bong made from a water bottle and a highlighter pen :rastabong:, sitting on the curb at night with my cousin, and about 50 ft away a few houses down i was lookin at the neighbors trash can and I could have sworn it looked like a person just standing there looking at me. Another time I was walking up this really steep hill on the sidewalk and it felt like i was walking inside one of those mouse wheels, or as if I was seeing out of a fisheye lens ... aaaanother time I was walkin at school and it felt like i was walkin and movin but at the same time everything around me was staying in the same location, i was moving but everything stayed still, like a i was on a treadmil.. when i close my eyes i can see myself from a 3rd person point of view, of how others see me.. trippy times :yippee:

Hahaha, people that claim you can't hallucinate from weed.....it's because you smoke Mexi-schwag. I've been so lit up that I stared at carpet because I saw TMNT everywhere. I've also seen light split into the separate spectrums of light in pretty patterns. And oh man, closed-eye hallucinations are sweeeet. I got to the point where I could control them in my mind like a music player visualizer. I prefer pot hallucinations to other types.

been smokin 30 years, and hereâ??s my opinion. Iâ??ve seen tracers, which is cool, and definately counts as hallucinations. Iâ??ve had tunnel vision, again a hallucination. Smoke a bong of Lemon, then Silver Bubble with Grey mist crystal kif and tell me you're not practically trippin. As strong as a soft drug gets, that was.

I always felt like I was hallucinating, but instead of my eyes seeing stuff except for patterns occasionally, it was my mind's eye. When I go somewhere in my mind's eye, the picture is more vivid than real life so I sometimes get confused for a second which one I'm in. I always thought that if your eyes saw the stuff you would die because you would be doing stuff like if you actually were a 10 year old at the circus in your mind. I'm high so I don't know if that made sense.
