Please pick one and say why.

If you could choose just one band or artist to listen to (for the rest of your life) when you were high, who would it be? You can only choose one and please say why. My would be Pearl Jam. 1. The moods, every album is different, like a person. 2. Lyrics about everything...social commentaries, love, a bug on the wall, the insanity of a stranger... 3. The music flows like water. Sometimes rolling like ocean waves, sometimes slamming down like torrential rain, sometimes just easy flow like a stream. And all moving water in between. 4. Ed screams a love song about a girl,and then sings a tender ballad for a mosquito. Only he knows why. 5. The ever changing band members, with Ed in front. Everything changes while everything stays the same. 6. Universal lyrics, Ed can write from anyone's point of view, a woman, on occasion. A person is a person and feels like a person. 7. If music can be love, I love it. 8. The best part is when I finally figure out wtf Ed-with-marbles-in-his-mouth is trying to say.

if i could only listen to one band when i was high it would have to be a tie between pink floyd and jimi hendrix.

The Dead. They have so many songs, and every time they play them, it's a little different. Truly THE greatest jam band.

Beastie Boys. I have loved their first album and I like their views on things. Their last Album (To the 5 Bouroughs) they rap a lot about their views on topics in the news nowadays, which a lot of it I share the same views, was really good and I liked almost EVERY song on the thing. Not to mention I love almost all their music. any album is fine for me while I am high. I went to their tour in chicago this past november. Best time I had during a concert. They opened with Money Making and closed with Sabotage and the crowd went NUTS!!!

There are so many good bands out there that I like but Id have to say Dimmu Borgir. Im not a fan of black metal but Dimmu are extremely original and extremely catchy if you're into metal. Never get bored of their music and trip out when listening to them while on drugs. Any euphoria experienced while fucked seems to be intensified by Dimmu. By far the best black metal band at the moment!

My band would be Led Zeppelin, be cause they are the greatest rock and roll band of all time. Awesome lyrics, mythology, guitar riffs that blow your mind when you are high. Zeppelin Rules!!

BEDLAM!. Bedlam is truely the wicked shit. I can bump the wickedness non stop.

I'm not into any one particular band or artist, preferring to have a variety of sounds and voices.
I find that if I listen to just one artist, then the sound becomes too repetitive - I like my music sessions to be somewhat of a journey of emotions and vibes.

MASSIVE ATTACK, and LEFTFIELD, always seem to have a mixture of vibes within a single album, so I guess that they'd be at the top of the list - along with JEAN MICHEL JARRE, and MIKE OLDFIELD for those more bizarre frames of mind lol

Pink FLoyd because they have the most awesome albums to listen while high. saucerful of secrets is so crazy to listen to while high.

Pink Floyd, high or not. There just so amazing and they're my fav band. If i had to choose another band i would choose gentle giant coz their music was invented for stoners.

possibly opeth at the mo but i wouldnt be able to choose one to listen to forever i would probly prefere to go without music all together than just listen to one band cause im positive4 it would just drive me insane listening to the same 5 or so albums for the next 50 years

Mad Professor, I don't even have to think about that one. His dub and jungle are so deep and heavy that if you smoke a joint and start listening to his music it will actually make you higher, seriously! Each track is mixed so well with so many different sounds that I am still picking up new things everytime I listen to them. Stereo sound and a good bass system are a must! Plus he has so many albums released. It is not a hard choice for me at all. If you've never experienced dub or the Mad Professor, do yourself a favor and enlighten yourself. :)

PS Robert Plant is playing a gig New Plant show for April 2nd at Warrick Student's Union in Coventry. and the guy can still deliver the goods after all these years...what can i say

Hehe Iv listened to Blood Sugar Sex Magic while being extremely ripped! Very fucking trippy! One of the best albums of any band to listen to while stoned.

Herbie Hancock. The man has proven time and time again that there is still enough exploration to be done with music to even be botherd with lyrical content, not that he hasnt' dabbled.

To anyone not sure of his work, I'd advise getting either Manchild or Headhunters, blazing one up then listening very carefullt to it, which will not be difficult, promise.

Haha, to everyone who said listening to one band would drive them crazy...lol...maybe that explains it! :D So I finally took my "Lost Dogs" cd out of my cool mini van, put disc one in my cd player, listened to it over and over, and haven't changed the disc since Friday or listened to anything else. I'm sort of having an anxiety attack about possibly changing to disc 2...I think I can, I think I can. Crazy? What?

i would never be able to choose between nirvana and zeppelin. i would have to take half of each. even though thats not a choice. the original choice is just a choice i can not make.

if you all didn't know they are devil worshopers. think I'm joking listen to stair way to heaven backwards. There are hidden messages then listen to it forwards and listen to how he says all the final sylibbles in each line in a weird way. ^^^^nice one except they fall second behind the greatest jam band PHISH yes the dead were the creators but they just dont have the same wacky sound that phish does undoubtibly Phish is the band to be listening too

whatthefuck man. that is some of the stupidest shit ive ever heard. i believe if i did listen to it backwards that i could make out something about satan. i seriously doubt that was on purpose. either way that is a weak reason to hate their music. they dont sing about worshipping the devil. so if they do , thats on their own time. music still kicks ass. and kicks the ass of any christian bands you listen to also.
