Well... i would like to say that this little red and green arrows makes the things a bit distracting and confusing... like... as they are always together with the threads titles, they attract our attention for themselves (the arrows), and thus make reading the titles a bit difficult.
What does was wrong with that unobtrusive stars?
I agree that the little coloured arrows may be cute, but they make the forums look like a heavily decorated xmas tree...
I hate them too, the site is set up horribly now. Why screw with something that isnt broken?

Well to be honest I really think you're overreacting to these little arrows..it's not like they are huge or anything...
As for how the site's set up, well, sundance is trying to go for a more serious approach as far as the forums and the content, which is why the sexuality forum has been done away with. If he's trying to lure in newer medial sponsors, most of the threads in there might scare them away. Titles like "how often do you masturbate" and "your favorite porn star" really don't belong on a cannabis site when you think about it.
And if that doesn't do it for ya, there's always your option of not logging in. ;)

Well when it first disappeared, this was sundance's reason:
"it was abruptly taken off because quite simply, some of the threads in there could turn away potential advertisers.
it may be shuffled, de-emphasized, etc. but for the time being, until some other shuffling is done and until after we gain the particular advertisers that we are shooting for it may not return until then."
So as far as it still being there, I am not sure if it will remain or if it's just lost in the shuffle for the time being, but like he stated, there is a chance it will be gone. That's my guess as to why you have to go to such lengths to actually access it.

Thats gonna kill me if he takes it away. Maybe instead of taking it away we should just have some more rules.
Plus the womens section and the parent section is there and just as important.

But seriously, I have a lot of respect for Sundance. I just wish he would leave the sexuality section. It's a staple here and if it's deleted many of our members will be dissapointed. It alwready seems like our regulars are going M.I.A.. I just know this place could be amazing in all it's it's glory. And people chose this site because, they liked how it was set up and they enjoy the content. Taking away the content isn't fair to any of us.
But that's just the thing: he feels that some of the content is drawing people in for the wrong reasons, which is why he's doing away with some of it. I have no doubt some people register solely to look at the "show a sexy pic of you" thread, which isn't what he wants. Remember, this is a cannabis site, so in all fairness, anything not related to cannabis is kind of a bonus around here.
We're bound to lose members here and there, and honestly if some leave because certain non-cannabis related forums have disappeared, I'd say it's for the better because this again, is a cannabis website first and foremost. ~

well if were not here for the adult stuff like smoking responsibly, support, sexuality, then are we here for trying to keep the smell out of the room when I micro, or mabey its just for the other mommy daddy know what do I do threads. Im just sayin without sexuality you have misplace the prioritys somewhere. Or do I have to be dieing inorder to talk about herb in a positive way, just like the medical cannabis in my state?

Hopefully sundance will just move it to a more..."secluded" point. That way it takes a back seat to apparently more important sections. If thats whats going on i'm just fine with that.

A lot of us bitched and moaned when the psychotropics forum went away. Yet the site is doing fine. I'd imagine the case to be the same without the sexuality forum.
But, we can't just keep deleting forums because of scaring away potential sponsors. Or because of saying this is a cannabis site. Let's just get rid of the music, sports, travel, TV, and every other forum that isn't strictly about cannabis. This would only further perpetuate the stereotype that people who smoke marijuana, only care about marijuana. What if potential sponsors are Bears fans, and they see P4B's packers thread?

No no, that's the thing. If you look on the main forum page it doesn't show up, so my guess is it's either left there by mistake and sundance hasn't noticed yet or this is his way of making it hard to get to. My guess is it will still most likely disappear within the coming weeks folks, so brace yourselves and let's try to keep the bitching to a minimum lol. :jointsmile:

I honestly think that it is sad..I know that it did get a little raunchy but oh well...it was moderated to a point. ;) no hate involved..sex is in everyones life..relationships are in everyones life..it is what gives this forum an extra edge over other cannibis forums..for me, there is only so much I can/want/care to talk about cannabis...if you are not a grower there is only so much you can post about if you just dont want to talk about weed..I can understand the psychotropics, that shit has no place here..but sex and love..I just aint gettin it:(

Cannabis.com is such a great site because of all of the diverse subjects that we discuss here. This is a safe haven for many stoners who can't discuss or share these things in everyday life. Sure, we could all have 6 or 7 different message boards to discuss sex, politics, gaming, movies, whatever but instead we all have one centralized point.
Besides, we got rid of a bunch of people for being under 18. Were all adults here. I believe that sex and relationships are important staples in the every day lives of the people here. And I know and believe that the trust we give to others on the site is valid and the honest, good intentioned responses we get back from our threads (in ANY section actually) are some of the best you could find anywhere on the net.
Wow, if taking away sexuality isn't enough, you had to pull the plug on "what are you listening to right now?" one of THE CLASSIC threads around here.
Might as well shut down the site completely why don't ya? :)
It is a shame the Sexuality forum has been given the boot, but I can live without it. I don't think the lounge will be removed it's far too important, most forums have an off-topic. I expect the rules may become a tad stricter in the lounge too. I'm guessing to counter act any increase in spam due to the sub categories being removed. All speculation of course lol.
Like all free entertainment media, the real business is to deliver an audience to an advertiser --- that's where the money comes from. Sponsors pay to get their message to the audience who comes for the free content. So to make it work, you need sponsors and you need an audience.
Sounds like they are trying to get new sponsors, but they are going to lose a lot of audience. I come to this site for the "fun" stuff, and I won't spend my time on it if it's not here. And those new sponsors won't stay either if there is no audience.
