Which bong would you choose?

If both bongs are the same height, glass thickness, and the same accessories, but one is a beaker base and one is a straight tube. Which would you choose if you had the choice?

Really I'm asking your opinions between the straight tube bongs and the beaker base bongs in terms of performance and style.

its according to the price. I mean a straight tube base bong for $30 or less isn't a bad buy. If its a piece you want to be special, i think the beaker base would be the way to go what with having the bigger chamber and all...

Beaker base is the shit because it milks a huge hit every time. More volume in the chamber means more smoke. Snap :)

yeah, beaker bottom- but they are usually more expensive as said. straight tubes work just fine, though :jointsmile:

Pretty much my two options are:

Wow, I'm gonna be honest I am a little surprised that there are no votes for the straight tube. It is just funny because as I was making this post I was leaning towards the dealers cup.

go beaker for sure. More water, more volume, more smoke. good times.

Take it from someone who sells RooR bongs in a hemp store... the straight style bong is much easier to clean.. but the beaker bottom has a much better center of gravity.

If you ask me, it's a personal opinion so the opinions of others shouldn't mean jack shit.

When you hit a beaker base are you supposed to hit it with it straight up and down, or with it tilted towards you? I feel like it would hit differently if you held it different positions. I don't know I was just wondering because I have never hit a beaker base.

Also, it's harder for the bong to fall over with a beaker base :thumbsup:

'm sorry but I have to disagree with all of you. I own 2 straight tubes and i wouldn't have it any other way. For one, like someone else mentioned, it's much easier to clean (I've owned both before).
Another reason is that for the most part all of the bongs I've owned and friends of mine have owned, the tubes outlive the beakers by far. I've seen pretty thick beaker bongs break with just a slight tap of a granite counter top or a lighter...

depends on what you want outa the bong. beker base will give you more volume where as a straight tube will give more velocity.
the velocity makes it easier to clear but not as much volume. the volume gives you well more smoke for your lungs but harder to clear

get a straight tube right to your dome when you clear it

Beaker, easier to set down without worryin its gonna fall, plus more ice water=cooler hits

Beaker; i just bought my blue dot with a perc yesterday and the beaker bottom is way better i also have a roor straight tube and it cant compare to the blue dot.

sorry for the double post but i forgot to mention its all up to you while their is a difference its not all that big so if you feel like getting the straight tube go for it.
