My 4 week old plant

So about 4 weeks ago I planted a seed of skunk bud outside in my garden, it sprouted and i decided to move it into a bigger pot. So its currently in a large container with soil from my garden and a mesh screen ontop to keep out bugs. I keep a direct light over it for about 12 hours a day. here is a picture of my plant 4 days ago.

3 Days ago I bought some nutrients (15-30-15). I added the nutrient grains on top of the soil (not too much). Soon after I decided to water my plant and i noticed the water wasnt sinking into the soil, it was just sitting on top because there was too much water. So i poked to holes in the buttom of the container for the water to drip out of.

My question is, is my plant looking bad now because of over watering or the nutrients? and whats the quickest way to cure my baby :/

Well it will wilt if its over watered which looks to be the case in pic 2 n 3. Seems you've solved that problem tho, lets talk about your lighting...in veg the plant should get at least 18/6, personally i do 20/4 sometimes. Anywayz it needs more light in veg then change to flower [12/12] when it gets a little bigger bcuz im not sure about the scale of that plant but it looks to small to support any bud to me....as for nutrients, dont use too much if you decided to use it now becuz that plant still looks a little weak

so whats the different of the veg stage and flowering stage?

1 - From where I see it is your plants LOOK overwatered
2 - Nutrient burns are very noticable, if the leaves are crunchy on the tips or look as if they were burned..
3 - For four weeks your plant should be taller than what it appears to be...

You should lay off the water for a few days and let the soil dry then flush it to be safe

whats the process of flushing?

Well, if you have pots that have drainage then you can flush without overwatering..all your doing here is dilute the Nutes thats still in the soil...Just try not to water until the soil dry's that way you can let your plant take in the water that still exist in the pot.

Flushing! the best example i can give you are your EYES..say if you got some soap in your eyes and it burns, you'd have to flush your eyes out until the soap vacants and your eyes stop burning...Catch my drift?

so basically just make sure i have 4 holes on the bottom of my container and there start running water through the plant thoroughly?

Correct...But its more than just holes, it's the proper drainage...I really can't see the pic clear but dont feel bad i have bad eyes but do you have any burns or anything other than the droppy leaves? But to be safe do not add any ferts until you see improvement

and what do u mean by proper drainage and more then just holes?

SOme pots come with the "holes" but i guess your way of poking holes is not a bad idea...when water sits for a period of time it can attract insects and diseases for your plants.....

Ok so they are showing signs of nutrient burns...OK thats your problem, do not add any nutes until improvement...

any recommended nutrients that i should buy for the veg stage and flowering/budding?

NO NUTES...Your plant has root rott, for four weeks that should be way bigger than that...Im sorry but it looks like you'd have to start over, because thats a bad nutrient burn..i saved your pic and made it bigger to study...It's not overwatering, you probably switch pots too early..Just read around man, and i'll come back n post a grow tutorial..there should plenty on this site just search for your questions cuz theres answers to all of them....But hey dont worry it happens to us...

ya i trashed it, but when do the first nutes get added?

After your plant reach 12inches then it has the strength to suck up all the Nutes..But never add to much nutes just add enough and if i were you i'd get a PH tester so you can test whatever you put in your plants and you can see how clean your water is when you water your plants....

so a ph tester, tests the water ph level correct? I read something about a soil ph tester? is there a different?

get both..that way you kno what you're puttin into the soil and that way you kno how clean your soil is with the soil tester....It helps, because you should kno what ph your soil should be for your plants to grow a healthy grow and if your plants aint doing so good then you can check out the soil ph and check the ph level to make sure you haven't dumped acid water into your plants feeding...

Oh and the difference between vegging and flowering..vegging is from when you switch the light cycle into flowering..Flowering is basically budding stage when you cut it at a cycle of 12/12...
