Ron Paul's "Tea Party" - December 16th Fundraiser (looks to be bigger than Nov. 5th!)
Just letting you all know...
Tea Party 07 - Ron Paul for President Mass Donation Day
There is another fundraising day coming up for Dr. Paul on December 16th once again organized by grassroots.. this one based off of the Boston Tea Party. The November 5th fundraiser was only alive for about two weeks and reached about 18,000 pledges in the end.
This one still has over a month to go and already has 13,340 pledges as of 12:16 am EST 11/15/07. Really incredible.. from the looks of this it is going to make November 5th look small :D
I pledged my $100 and will be sending it on Dec. 16th. This is going to blow the socks off the media and any doubters that Ron Paul doesn't have a real shot at this. It's looking to be an exciting, historic and record-breaking day!

22,528 pledges at 9:55 pm EST 11/29/07!
This is already, pledge-wise, bigger than November 5th and it has about 15 days to go.

He made over $500,000 in 24 hours just yesterday (November 30th). In total he has made more money this quarter than all the other Republicans last quarter and still over a month to go.. including the Tea Party!
He is going to make well over $12,000,000 this quarter.. he is already over $10,000,000.
December 16th should bring in over $5,000,000 itself.
You guys can be a part of it too... sell some shit, do what you have too, donate some money on the 16th.

This tea party is going to blow the lid off of things. The MSM will not be able to ignore it. Imagine all the discussions among family and friend over the holidays. The sportsbooks are saying we'll bring in over $6 million. Right now there are over 25,000 pledges. I'm not on the list as a pledger, by I and many of my friends and family are planning on donating, and they didn't pledge either. And they didn't do the November 5th moneybomb. So this one is going to be HUGE. At least $6 Million. Take notice establishment, the cats out of the bag.

I only gave $25 on the 5th, but I think I can make a $100 come this time around.
Ron Paul's presidential campaign is the first time I have ever donated money to any political candidate. Money well spent, I am proud to say I donated.

I wish I had a little chunk saved up for this, but I already have plans made for my money right now. Is there any more fundraisers before showtime is upon us? I would really love to do what I can to put Ron Paul in office.

So far it's doing great, it's only 10:40 here in California and already he has made over 2 and a half million. I'd say the predictions of breaking 5 million in a day are not at all an unrealistic prediction, I'm guessing maybe 5-6 mill. I remember the night before Nov 5th, I figured it would be a good day, but figured it would only generate about 2 or 3 mill at the most. I was pretty damn surprised that day, and with the way things are going, I think I'm going to be surprised again!
A great site to check out is RonPaulGraphs.com - Especially the graph comparing the donations by the hour for Nov 5th to today's. So far the graph is showing a substantial increase in amount of donations, and it doesn't look to be slowing down yet!
Pretty cool stuff :)

I'm 20, and my parents are quite wealthy, and for that reason they still buy me presents for Christmas. This time around, I asked for nothing, but for them to donate whatever they were gonna spend on me, to give to the RonPaul campaign.
This is a sacrifice that I am gladly to do and do not/will not regret it.

Hey everyone, today is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party and Ron Paul supporters staged a mass donation day on today. Just like American colonists duped tea into Boston harbor for liberty and freedom, lets dump a donation into the Ron Paul campaign for the same. Everyone needs to donate $100 to Dr. Paul's campaign.
Donate here: Ron Paul 2008 — Hope for America

Yes! The only pro legalization presidental canidate that has a legitmate chance. He has already raised $5million today.
Every little bit counts! America needs RP.

Great job. I see it as more of an investment than a sacrifice. If this man gets in office, not only will marijuana and other drugs be decrimed at the minimum, he would restore freedom.
America needs RP. No contribution is too small.

Just got back from the Boston rally! I've got about 3 hours of footage. Would of had more if it wasn't for the rain today. Anyways, will take me some time to convert and do some editing but will post them as they go up on youtube.
Rand Paul is the shit and would make a great VP!

does he really have a chance? most of my friends aren't registered to vote, when i've breifly mentioned any candidates they've had no clue about any of them, and most of them have said they most likely won't vote when that time comes around.... there is "Google Ron Paul" and all this other ron paul shit all around campus though, i don't know anything about him besides he's pro marijuana..... i don't think most baby boomers will vote for him either....

yes, he has a chance. He has raised over $5 million today! The establishment controlled media is trying to silence him, but he slowly is moving into frontrunner status. We need your help though. Donate (if you can afford it), Register republican and vote ron paul in the primaries. He is our only hope. Ron Paul 2008 — Hope for America

Ron Paul is our only hope. He is literally fonding father material. Not only is he pro cannabis, and would end the illegitimate war on drugs, legalize hemp, and allow the states to legalize marijuana, or other drugs. He is a pro freedom libertarian, who will eliminate the federal reserve, and get the government out of our lives.

Ron Paul's "Tea Party" - December 16th Fundraiser (looks to be bigger than Nov. 5th!)
He's definitely my favorite republican candidate. Although I'm not crazy about all the isolationist stuff. I'm down with peace and not intervening with other countries problems, but in this day in age, especially considering china and the middle east, we really need open trade. We get goods from them and they get goods from us.
Either way, I'm still voting, or at least donating for now, to Dr. No.

Ron Paul's "Tea Party" - December 16th Fundraiser (looks to be bigger than Nov. 5th!)
It isn't about isolationism. It's about making sure that Americas problems are put first and not another countries. And when America is doing good you can diplomatically help countries who need it, but NEVER by force. Thomas Jefferson said, "Commerce with all nations, alliance with none." This is very important as it insures that Americans interests are always #1.
Just another good quote from Jefferson,
"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government."

There is no clear leading candidate in the republican field, he's got more money than a lot of them, why wouldn't he have a chance? His campaign just needs to turn that money into actual votes, how they do that is the tricky part.
If I was in the campaign I'd spend some good dough and hire some talented people to produce his commercials, and also hire an excellent marketing team to make sure his high points are highlighted in the commercials, and I also think it would be cool for the Paul campaign to run a contest for fans to produce their own commercials to be plastered on the TVs in the early states.
They need a healthy mixture of both physical fan support as well as professional support. Voters need to understand Ron Paul is professional and ready for the White House. His advertisements need to do this for voters or they won't trust he is real enough to win.

He isn't an isolationist, calling him one was just a slimy political method McCain used to slam his competition. McCain attacked Paul because he sees him as a threat to his campaign, not because he seriously believes Ron Paul is an isolationist. It's all politics.
-
Ron Paul's "Tea Party" - December 16th Fundraiser (looks to be bigger than Nov. 5th!)
It is not we non-interventionists who are isolationists. The real isolationists are those who impose sanctions and embargoes on countries and peoples across the globe because they disagree with the internal and foreign policies of their leaders. The real isolationists are those who choose to use force overseas to promote democracy, rather than seek change through diplomacy, engagement, and by setting a positive example. ~Rep. Ron Paul
Ron Paul wants to trade with people, talk with people, etc.
We raised over 6 million today with over 25,000 new donors!!!

if you dont know, then at least read some stuff about him, no reason to stay in the dark and be stupid to the race like the rest of the population, get your friends off they're asses and get them registered to vote for Ron Paul, no use in letting votes go to waste.

Obama is a douche and yes i can provide a receipt of my donation, if you dont care then dont post, and go on living your life like the government wants you to, if you want change, then take some time, and research the candidates, find out who you would like to be our next president, then support them. People dont have a voice because they stopped speaking, but Dr. Paul is here to change all of that :hippy:

We've had a complaint about this issue being spammed across the forums. Let's keep this in politics from here on out!
Also, I can't see the sense of having numerous threads back to back regarding this.....lets keep the Tea Party posts in this thread.

^ Spam! LOL. That's funny. I call it patriotic propaganda...or the peoples will and word.
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."
What a day. My young son and I danced around all day and enjoyed our Tea for certain. It was difficult to pull away from the event as it kept getting better and better. Preliminary numbers are at $6.4 million raised with over 25,000 new contributors! That puts the donors over 100,000 for the 4th quarter and surpasses all the the other media-anointed front-runners. He's sure to hit $20 million for the quarter too! Woot!!! Go Ron Go!!! Join the REVOLution!!!

As long as this new rule doesn't cause all future threads to be closed simply because it has to do with Ron Paul, I am ok with it. Only need 1 Ron Paul Tea Party thread, but if the thread is about Ron Paul but concerning something different, (and isn't blatant spam, I mean like an actual interesting opinion or article), it should be allowed to be left in it's own thread.
There's my $0.02
Oh yea...if you want to check up on who is donating money, you can use this really freaking cool search tool to see who donated what, where they live, etc.
>>Super Cool Donation Search Tool<<
It is based on the last quarter donations though, so none of the newer Ron Paul money bombs will be represented here, but it is still very cool and as soon as this quarter ends and the FEC updates their donation filings, we can see who was part of the money bombs :D

Ron Paul's "Tea Party" - December 16th Fundraiser (looks to be bigger than Nov. 5th!)
I think the reason some folks post in different forums is because anyone who smokes weed should be looking for someone who wants to return the issue to the states. A lot of people who would benefit greatly may not be interested enough in politics to look there, but if they see a headline about a leading candidate who's for state's rights they might take a look. That said, it will be on the main page if they happen to scroll down to that section.

Ron Paul's "Tea Party" - December 16th Fundraiser (looks to be bigger than Nov. 5th!)
^Yea the money bombs didn't seem to affect the press very much, but with all this money Ron Paul can start spending as much as the other leading candidates so people in the early states will start to look into him. I can't remember if I dreamed this or read it on an old news article, but I thought there was going to be a documentary specifically on Ron Paul's growing grass roots campaign. I hope that's for real, would be awesome!

I brought this issue up to Sundance and I supported the members efforts in this type of thing. Whether or not I agree with a persons politics isn't an issue on this; I find it refreshing that so many are taking an active role.
There were a few basic stipulations (guidelines) regarding this though:
1) MUST be from a legitimate Campaign site
2) Limited to ONE thread/candidate; or in this case event
3) This will be contained in the Politics Forums to prevent spamming the forums
As for ANY other articles, events, etc.... on a candidate, that would definately allowed in various threads. ONLY campaign contribution events will be limited to one thread.
One more thing.....this thread has been handled with respect and I expect the same if someone else posts something of a similar nature regarding another candidate......even for Hillary I guess. LOL
People in here such as Zimzum are working their ass off for a purpose....by following the three simple guidelines we'll save this format as another avenue for their efforts.
Have a good one!
