RIP Evel
The Associated Press: Evel Knievel Dies at 69
I grew up watching this man perform some of the most amazing stunts in the world , he had titanium bollocks to do the shit he did.
I for one would like to say that without him the world would've been a little less exciting.
Goodbye dude, you rocked !

RIP Evel
RIP Evel Knievel, you were a badass!
When he was on tv performing a stunt it was like a holiday at our house. My sister and I got to stay up late, cook up some Jiffy Pop on the stove and we'd wear our Wonder Woman underoos and pull our beanbags up close to the tv. Great memories :)

RIP Evel
My younger brother got a EK stunt set for xmas in 74 and we sent it flying off anything we could find.
He was like the worlds first real bionic man in our eyes.

RIP Evel
I used to like how he would crash and burn and then stagger up to the microphone trailing a broken arm or leg and say, "I...(groan)...will never...(wince)...jump...(moan)...again." And then a month later he would have some new crazy jump to do.

RIP Evel
Here's a little better story. It is sad, he was willing to lay it all on the line to entertain us and get an adrenaline rush.

RIP Evel
Yeah I read this on a news ticker downtown earlier today, as I was on my way downtown to go jam on the bass for a friend who just needed something to record to practice with the mixing console for his recording degree. As soon as I saw it I felt kinda bummed, I loved watching his stunts as a kid, and seeing videos of the older stunts he did before I was even born. He was definately a a childhood hero, everytime when I was little and my freinds and I used to go dirt jumping on our BMX bikes I always thought of Evel. I did a little jam in dedication to him when we got to the studio.
RIP Evel, hopefully the afterlife allows many greater stunts, without the risk.
