supermarket seeds

my mum bought me some organic seed mix to eat from our local Asda store, when i opend the bag and looked in there were hemp seeds in there, i know they are becouse it says on the packet,
i then started sprouting my seeds 2 days ago they are now looking good. but does any one know wether these seeds will work propurly.also what kind of bud do you think they would be. it says all the seeds are produced organicaly and there are no pestesides and no non natural fertilizers.any one know any thing let me know the bag cost £2 and there must be over a hundred hemp seeds in there.:D

I think the seeds would be the kind that makes material not pot.

I doubt any store in a country where pot is illegal would be able to sell something with dope seeds in it. :)

yeh true, but do those plants still bud.

lol, those plants would be useless to you. Hemp by law has to contain less than 0.02% THC.

Well, cannabis seeds are 100% LEGAL in England.

But we're not talking about cannabis seeds, we're talking about hemp seeds - it'll grow - but it wont produce alot of bud, and even though it'll have plenty of trichomes, they'll contain virtually nothing. You'd get maybe 0.5% THC, maybe 1% if your REALLY lucky, but concidering the norm for cannabis is 15% - 25% it'd be a big waste of time and effort.

Hemp IS NOT cannabis.

Listen to LIP; go ahead and grow them if you want to experiment since industrial hemp has the same needs as drug-grade cannabis, but when you want to grow something smokeable, use bagseed at the very least.
Just another thing to think about, industrial hemp is still illegal to grow in most places, so your risk is the same as it would be if you were growing proper herbage.

yeah. hemp does not equal cannabis (or at least good smokables)

hemp seed is one of the few substances that can single-handedly support life. (another is breast milk). thats why bids want em

id suggest you hack the plants, or your gonna smoke an oz to get high with it

Since your gonna take the risk of growing, id go with something that would actually get you high. Instead of something you can make a cool bracelet out of.

i also agree with most of the posters above. i would be pretty surprised if those seeds even germinate since i believe that they must be sterilized before they reach the shelf in a store. but please do post if it works out, cannabis is such a beautiful plant regardless if its for smoking or just for its fibers!

grow em outdoors if ya want. good for kicks at least!

however, dont waste indoor lighting and space on em, they aint gonna put out "profit" (sellables or smokables)

The only hemp seed sterilized before sale is fishing bait. All the hemp that is in bird food, normal food and anything else isnt, and probably will germinate. Same with cannabis seeds, because they're not illegal.

just to imform you most of the seeds did sprout in 2 days. but i soon relized it was not the plnt i am looking for , but i also realised that not all the seeds was the same.coulers, size, patterns, were all differnt. But anyway I doubt i will ever grow these seeds, but it would be good to know what strain they are and if they could be crossed to produce bud who knows, maybe its the all famous g 13.

It might be G-13. But it's not, it's hemp.
