Ever Ingested Very Large Amounts of Weed?
I've got some green dragon I made with everclear and trainwreck. I'd say the amount of weed in it is probably 8x what I would normally smoke to get stoned out of my mind. 16x what I'd normally smoke to just get a little buzzed. I planned on taking about a fourth of the green dragon to test its strength. But now I figure, why not just down it all and see what happens. It's impossible to overdose, practically, so why not?
So I've always wanted to do a solo winter backpacking trip for a few days. There's just something so spiritual about it. I'm a people person, but once in a while I love the absolute solitude the woods in winter provides. Just me and God. I've got all the cold weather gear and all that shit. I seriously might take this out with me and down it all. That could only increase the spirituality of the whole experience, I'd think. My last final exam is Dec. 13th... then I've got a nice break from school.
Let's say I go find a nice private spot out in the mountains of N.C., backpack in for a day, then drink the mixture and smoke a nice 'J' while it kicks in :-). What's the worst that can happen? I can't overdose. I guess I could get lost. But I'd have all my gear, so worst case is I just find my way out with my compass after I sober up. I guess the worst thing is that I'd loose my gear. That would be bad. Is it possible to get that stoned though?
Anyone ever ingested extremely large amounts of weed? The stories I've heard of things going wrong is always because the person calls the police or EMS b/c they're stupid and think its possible to overdose. I know that's not possible. Plus I wouldn't be able to call EMS if I wanted too. ;-)
Maybe I'll invite my cousin along just to have someone else there... but what an experience it'd be to be out in the middle of nowhere, just me and God, blazed out of my mind...

I really wouldn't suggest doing that...once it kicks in it could very well take you to a place where you dont want to go. For example: I once got so high it felt like i was really drunk...staggering all over the place and then passing out on the floor. I dont think you want to be staggering along a trail or passing out in the snow. I would just suggest drinking a fourth of it like you first planned...that will get you pretty lifted anyways.

I don't know about you, but when I smoke too much I definitely overdose and barf my guts up for 24 hours. Take a couple tokes, wait a half hour, then take another if you are not high enough. The idea of overdosing ALONE in the wilderness sounds crazy to me. Try overdosing at home first.
It is possible to die from dry heaving. That means you keep throwing up until there is nothing left inside of you, not even fluids, and you die of dehydration because you cannot even keep fluids down.:eek:

So... be careful, and NEVER ever understimate the power of weed... start with small amounts... when you were used to its effects, you can increase the dose.

x2 to Coelho and Budgrower said... also you say there is enough to get wrecked 8x if smoking, well ingesting weed if different then smoking... and the effects are enhanced when taken in an unfamiliar environment (the whole classical conditioning concept)

I posted this in the other thread where you said you we're going to do this, so I wanted to post it here too:
I would definitely recommend you take a small dose and not the whole thing. You can get VERY uncomfortable when you are too high.
Also, do not go into unfamilar places and take large amounts of mind-altering substances that you have never tried before (do not go backpacking in the winter and drink a whole bottle of untried green dragon).
I also would not try it right before scuba diving, tightrope walking, or hanggliding. You don't want to be at an unusual distance from the surface of the earth when it kicks in. On your couch would be better.

Haha perhaps he will. I remember when I first read that post Coelho's quotes of people going into an alternative universe came to mind. I thought to myself "This guys going to be baked out of his mind." If anything...at least he went out in style :rastasmoke:.

Coelho's list is one of the funniest things I have ever seen on canncom. It's such a long-running joke now, but every month or so it seems you get another one to add. Some one posts something like, "Hey, I'm gonna eat all this ridiculous amount of weed and post back!" Then everyone says, "NOOOOOOO! Don't do it!" But it's as if it is too late and you never hear from them again! I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
I don't think they actually die, but they travel to another world which is much like an afterlife:
After posting their "Here I go!" message and eating all thier weed, they begin to get a buzz.
They get totally baked.
Then even more high!
Ooops! Just a little bit too high!
Then they start to get a bit scared about what will come next!
Their bodies start to tingle, and the feel like they are being pulled and twisted in all different directions! Flipping over and over and spinning in circles until finally wrenching loose from their physical bodies and floating free in space!
Then everything becomes peacful, and they hover there above their phisical bodies. Watching themselves lay there on the carpet, surrounded by bongs and empty Dorito's bags. Able to see the whole room and think, "Man, this place is a freakin' mess!" And then thinking, "We'll at least I'm not laying in a snow bank!"
Slowly the room fades away and they are surrounded by darkness, but they are not afraid. A light shines in the darkness ahead. It glows brighter and brighter, and it seems to come closer. They feel a warmth from the light. A voice says, "Go into the light," and they feel themselves being drawn into it.
As it becomes brighter, they see that they are surorunded by smiling people. Is it their beloved grandparents who passed away years before? Could it be their favorite aunt that they haven't seen since they were small? Is it Abraham Lincoln and Plato and all the famous people of History?
No! It is Shamanic Hippie! And Sparknote! And Wonka911!!! All the previous cann.com members who went off into the other dimension so long ago!!!!
They just smile and say "Welcome! We have so much to show you!" And they take them off into the mythcal weed forest...

I would be careful.....try it in a SAFE place first then if you want to go out wherever you know what is going to happen or you realise that its probably too dangerous to do so.

I only did read the 5 first ones and the last (the active side of infinity)... but i did read the "teachings" from all books in a site... several times also... and i didnt met the little smoke yet... but plan to meet it one day... anyway, the weed is my ally. And its a very good one!

I decided to take your advice and drink it all while backpacking in the mountains... the cold makes it extra dangerous to try something I've never done before way out in the backcountry. So I just drank it all in the comfort of my own home... about 20 minutes ago. I made a mudslide for breakfast (kahlua, coffee, cream, milk,... and the green dragon).
I had my doubts about how well this would work. But its only been 20 minutes and I'm already starting to feel some effects. I thought this stuff was to take 60-90 minutes to start coming on. Maybe its hitting faster b/c I had nothing in my stomach. Maybe its the kahlua... I don't know... I'll try to let you know how things go.

Dude, you are going to go straight out of your mind if you drank ALL of that! I'm glad to hear you are safely at home, and I think you will soon find out why I say that! You have to post back and let us know how it went.
How did that mudslide taste --- it sounded pretty good. I like to mix my green dragon into some kind of cocktail or add it to coffee with cream and sugar like some kind of special Irish coffee. Part of the buzz you feel in the first few minutes is the alcohol, but the cannabis buzz soon follows.
You asked about the format of the board. The Experiences forum is no longer linked from the main page, some of the other forums, like Sexuality and Recreational are also gone. I subscribed to this thread, so it came up in my user CP when you posted. But unless others have subscribed, they might not ever see this thread again, so there might not be much feedback on your experiment.
