Haze x Skunk One 12/12 Experiment

After much reading and no results on 12/12 from seed growing I've decided to try it and see how it goes. A few months ago I ordered some seeds and got 5 free "Original T Haze x Skunk 1" seeds. I got ambitious a few days ago and decided to try this experiment. Out of the five seeds 2 germed and went right into the soil. They are under 303 watts of fluorescent light in a small closet corner. Every week in this log will be regarded as a flowering week since they will be in 12/12 their entire lives. The plant in the 2nd pic had some trouble getting its shell off so after I took this pic I very gingerly removed it.

i grew some seedlings under 12/12 from sprouting,think they're in one of my grow logs somewhere,should have some pics too,after about 2 weeks they started showing sex and finished in about 10 weeks from seed,downside was it affected the yeild considerably,i got about 1 ounce per plant compared to 4 ounce per plant for vegging them for just 4 weeks,
so when you take into consideration it's gonna take 2 weeks to show sex,time that could be spent vegging,for saving 2 maybe 3 weeks in total growing time,i sacrificed 3/4 of my yeild,
upside is that i could grow them in much smaller pots so could grow more plants in the space i have had i chosen to continue to use this method,also it would be possible to make like steps in the grow room and introduce new plants every 2 weeks or so like a sea of green,after 10 weeks you'd be harvesting every 2 weeks

Heres my HS plants starting week 4 of life and they are looking pretty good. They definately would have been alot bigger if vegged this long instead of being under 12/12 but I am surprised how good they are looking though.

Here's my 2 hopefully girl plants. They have now been under 12/12 lighting for a month. And have grown quite a bit in the last 2 weeks which i am happy about. They started so slow that i worried that this grow wouldnt be worth shit but I am a bit more hopeful now. Stay tuned.

Two nights ago i went into the grow room and discovered that one of my plants was a female. I decided to name her Jay. She's going to be transplanted tonight into a bigger pot to finish growing. Right now she is like 7-8 inches tall but I expect her to end up around 12-15 inches tall when she maxes out. She's been getting 1/2 strength bud ferts once a week for the last 2 weeks and thats seemed to really perk her up.

Here is the other plant I have growing. It still has yet to show it's sex but should really soon. It's growing nicely and like its sister has been getting ferts the last couple weeks.

Here's my sexy bitch starting week 7. She's really growing fast now and putting the pistils on. I got her transplanted a few days ago and it really seemed to perk her up. Cant wait to see what her buds are gonna look like.

Here's my other still not sexed plant. I dont understand how it's sister could show sex weeks earlier and it has yet to. Time will tell i guess.

Heres my super tall and super sexy girl Jay 2 months into life. I had to make room in my grow room to accommodate her height. She definitely doesnt look like any plant I've grown out before and I am really looking forward to seeing how she turns out. I have been increasing her fert intake over the last few weeks and I can tell its giving her a boost in growth. Hopefully she is done growing vertically and starts concentrating on bud production. Well i meant to have pics for you all but I accidentally deleted them right before I made this post and I am too lazy to go reshoot them all. You'll just have to wait another week. Sorry. On a brighter note the unknown plant has decided to show sex....It's a female! I decided to name her Kayla. Sorry for not having the pics but I promise next week there will be some.

Oh ya! Kayla.

I wonder how they will finish, together or weeks apart?

Jay has grown into a freaking bush over the last 2 weeks. I had to tie her over once already and will have to do it again soon. Other then that she looks great and should yield really well.

Here's Kayla my newest chick in the grow room. She is very short compared to her sister but looks really good and isnt giving me the headaches her sister is.

Hey Shark. I saw your post before you edited it and the reason it took a month to show sex is because this grow has been entirely 12/12 from seed. These plants had no veg period and I was quite surprised that it only took a month. The shortest plant is about 12" and the taller one is about 2 feet tall give or take a few inches.

wow OK, thanks for that info. I am trying a 12/12 micro grow and the logistics are proving to difficult to manage as I have no idea how the plants will grow, only time will tell, your plants looks nice though. :pimp:

Sorry there havent been any updates lately. I've been super busy. I should have some new pics within the next few days.

These are pics that were taken about a month ago and I just now got around to posting them. I apologize for the delay. It has really become a hassle trying to take pics of these plants because they are so big and take up all the space in my grow room. I'll try to get some new pics next week.

...miley...hey...got to share this success story with ya'...I had a friend who purchased some beans from Green House Supply Co...or some bean company by that name...anyways he order'd up some fem'd Super Silver Haze...and some Dutch Passion Purple #1's...I agreed to grow these out for him...also...they threw in a 5 pack of "T* Haze x Skunk #1...the beans in that 5 pack look'd miserably unviable...so here's the rundown...I got a few DPPurps to come up female...had absolutely no luck with the fem'd Super Silver Haze...4 of the 5 that did come up...(germ'd)...they died a quick death due to the football helmet syndrome with the bean shell not wantin' to let loose of embreyo...and out of the 5 freebies of this T*Haze x Skunk #1...one came up...I just couldn't bring myself to tell my accomplice that none of the SSHaze's lived...so rather...I told him one lived...when in all actuality it was the freebie bean...the T*Haze x Skunk #1...that lived...so he doesn't know...but I sure do...damn...this plant is at week 7 bloom...I veg'd it 4 weeks...yep...4 fuggin' weeks...then I find here that peeps say that with this sub-tropical strain introduced by none other than Sam the Skunkman...that a person would be ill-advised to veg this strain at all...I was like from germination to 12-12...watt??...So I go and push my gro into 12/12...a lil'til premature for some in there(thoughtheysurvived)...and the T*Haze x Skunk #1...acts like it is still in veg for a coupla weeks...so I google this strain...and also hear that some edit the photoperiod to 11/13...or even 10/14...so I did that...went to 11/13...and miley...this plant would amaze...I can't supply pixs yet...but I will...suffice to say...this plant is true sativa...99.9%...it has approach'd 7 feet tall...due to height restriction...I have her tied down...this plant is filling out nicely...I figure I will give it 12-13 weeks of bloom if need'd...I can't even begin to describe how luscious this plant is startin' to look...buds have set nicely...and sugar is being pour'd as I type...by the spoonful...thc anyone?...


...So listen...this is my first post at this site...gunna take a look around...dig in...so to speak...I will return...at an unspecified time to share a pre-harvest pix...just for the record...I have her under a 400 watt hortilux sodium...in a 3 gallon container...using FoxFarm's OceanForest pottin' mix...and Tiger Bloom (bloom cycle nutes)...and I will pose a prediction...I'll bet by the looks of this plant's ability...that I will net no less than a quarter pound of strictly buds from this plant...I can dig those apples...:hippy:

Nice looking plants! that strain actually sounds desirable to me, very rare to get a sativa of that purity and i hope it has a nice skunk flavor to it. good luck ill be following your log

Hey everyone. It's been a few months since i've posted on this forum but i'm glad you left replies because you've spurred me on to start posting again. The plant i named Jay was harvested a few months back and produced some good smoke although i had to chop her early cause my supply ran out. The other plant is still alive and is a total pain in the ass. It grew like crazy and totally filled up all my grow space. It's still got about a month left but i'll get some pics b4 harvest. I have 4 clones of that plant going as well. I just chopped off some branches one day cut some slits in the bottom of the stems and put them in water for a month. After a month i stuck them in soil and they are growing just fine.
