This isn't so much a log as it is just a random post. Here's two of my good Master Kush plants at 37 days into flower. I started with 6; two died from over nuting, and the other two aren't really worth photographing. :( Lessons learned, though! I like the way these two are turning out though and want to know what everyone else thinks.

Hell, I didn't do much more than give ya a kick in the butt when you needed it a couple times. :D It was the true dro's that got ya thru the rough spots.
Next grow will be a lot better ...and you'll have some good bud to enjoy while you're doin the grow.

Mine smell really sweet, but a different kind sweet, almost like citrusy or something. Its not very strong though, can barely smell it on the other end of my exhaust and I've even been using Sweet for the past 2 weeks. But I do loooooove getting my nose up in those big colas!
Yes good to grow....I really like it.....Does your Sweet have a flavor? They have them in flavors now....mine's just regular.
Yeah I got the Berry flavor. Berry flavored weed is my favorite, so hopefully the taste is somewhat prevalent in my MK.
I was inspecting the buds today and found seeds! I'm sorta bummed and not sure where the pollen came from. I wonder if one of them might have hermed because of the high PPMs or the deficiency that caused them to lose all their leaves. I don't see any pollen sacks on any of the ones that are still living or on the ones I cut down, so IDK. Sucks though.
Are you positive they are seeds? I'd really think you'd see some pods around....that surprises me. Yes, they could have hermied due to stress....(we have other things for you to buy for that.....:D) but ......you know...if they ARE seeds....they're female seeds unless you have a male around. Deja you may never have to buy another seed depending on how many there are.....)
I always thought that female seeds from a herm was just a myth?
Anyways, I poked one with my calibration screwdriver and it felt pretty solid. If it was just a pod, would it be somewhat stiff? I have had some weed with false pods and they were always kind of poofy and spongy. Many of them also have pistils coming out the tips. What do you think? Is there any way to tell for sure aside from taking the pod off the bud or waiting for the seed to become exposed?
No it's not a myth. BUT ...let me warn you, the feminized seeds you will get her may very well be MORE likely to hermie even than these. They have products you can spray on the plant at the beginning of flower to prevent hermies. I use it and it works great. But if you were going to try to use the seeds for BREEDING....you may well run into stability problems. To grow them for smoking (as I do) they are the bomb!! Master Kush female seeds no less. :thumbsup:
Its hard to say without seeing them myself....even then....I've been fooled as far as some of my calyxes (seed pods) looking very swollen and I've sworn there had to be seeds in there. But never have had it happen....it's always just resin.

What do the insides look like if they are resin? I popped some with some tweezers and they were filled with some kind of liquid and the inside was bright green. I think they are immature seeds. :( If I popped them, would they stop focusing on producing seeds and produce more THC?
My partner made some peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies from the three dead plants and they turned out pretty nice. Knocked me out pretty good this evening.
Also, I'm interested in the anti-herm spray. I'll have to use it on my next crop and see how it goes. Hopefully, they will be a lot less stressed since I *sorta* have the hang of this whole hydroponics thing now.
I've never seen the inside of a calyx...(seed pod) with seeds in it so can't really tell you. I think the more you hassle the plant the more it's going to hermie on you. You wouldn't want someone hanging around with a big pair of tweezers would you? :D

You will want to use the Penetrator along with it...the reverse itself you use full strength but the Penetrator you only add a little so it lasts forever.
Follow the directions carefully (apply on day 1 and day 10 0f flower) and you will have no herms (unless you really screw with plant and the light etc....) This stuff works GREAT!
I think I have seen that stuff at my local hydro store, so I will have to pick some up.
I think one of the final three plants is dying off. It is the one that the bottom third or so died from the nitrogen deficiency. I broke one of the branches and it was crispy and just snapped right off. The rest of it was going well, but this morning the leaves were all shriveled and it looks pretty bad. The roots are also very black and soggy and are not looking very healthy. At least this one made it to 6.5 weeks so it might be worth smoking. Its covered in trichromes at least. Looks like my only yield will be from the two beast plants that survived the over nuting. Hopefully my next grow is more successful.
I'm sure your next grow will be much better. I've made every mistake in the book and I'm still growing things so I'm sure you will too. Now you have an idea of what to expect so you can be a LITTLE less nervous about things and have a little more fun with them in your second grow.

Well, I cut 'em down on Tuesday at day 53. I checked the trichromes on three different leaves from various areas of the plant at 60x and they were about 10% amber so I chopped em for the more cerebral high. I was gonna harvest slowly but decided I was too impatient. They are slow drying in a closet at 68° and 40% humidity as we speak and I will be starting my second crop tomorrow! Yay!

I will post some pics of the stash once they are dried. I'm hoping for at least a couple oz's to get me to next harvest! I redesigned my flower room so it will be a lot more manageable, too.
Well, they are dry and weighing in at 42.7 grams. I split them up by 1/4 ozs except the jar with the colas are 9.7 g (5 g and 4.7 g each) and I had 5.1 g of shake and tiny buds. I kind of regret not taking a picture before I cut them down, but there's always next grow!

Thanks Dr! They weren't as dense and full as I would have hoped, but I think they didn't fill out as well as they should have because I probably stressed them. They were also REALLY hairy. Tons of red hairs on them, which I thought was weird. I've never seen as many hairs on bud I have bought in the past.
