worm-OK ... caterpillar-BAD ...
cool...thanx
Are there any benefits from this little guy living with my roots? Any disadvantages?
Just wondering cuz my plant only three weeks old. PEACE!
It could be like tequila. After you burn one, you eat the worm.
rofl, assuming its an earth worm yea he's doing lots of good for your roots. He's aerating the soil and leaving nutrients behind in the form of waste as well as benificial bacteria.
a worm is good aeation.
however, you may want to figure out HOW IT GOT THERE
its good, but in a couple days when you find it crawling up the side of you bed i would chuck it, i HATE worms
haha. once its got nuted soil, i doubt it will leave the pot.
put any leaf debris in a corner of the pot and itll probly occupy itself in there
Worms are good! People BUY worm castings (shit) for outrageous prices per pound! You are getting it free! I put worms in my grows to give me a easy way of checking soil health. Lots of worms= everything's OK. No worms = trouble! My tubs always have lots of worms. I do a perpetual grow. 3 big tubs about 2 -3 weeks apart. If I don't see at least a half dozen worms while transplanting, I get worried! - Granny:hippy:
If you want to keep it alive to create more, don't use chemical fertilizers! Use organics or just let him reproduce himself(herself?) worms reproduce asexually...anyways, they're like amphibians; they say the more you have, the healthier your ecosystem is, Broseph. HAHAHAHAA
could i just add some earth worms i picked up at my local fishing shop and add them to my soil and give them a little shack to stay in? :rastasmoke:
i personally find em a bit gross, and id be creeped out if one touched me during a transplant.
Make sure they aren't nightcrawlers...They are a bit different from regular earthworms. Maybe you can-dunno. Check out Google, bro!
I dont think those big fucking nightcrawlers should be used in pots because they need a very cold temperature to stay alive. If it gets too warm they will die and produce the worst smell in the world!
Just googled it.....not sure but this "worm" may not even be a worm. It looks like a meal worm, which isn't a worm at all. It's actually a larva to a beetle. LOL Kinda worried now, but no signs of stress in my 3 week old yet, but I'll catch the little fucker if I have to.
Feed-back any body?
uhm...if its not about 2 inches long and the kind of worm pre-schoolers eat or cut in half, its not what you want.
if thats the case, kill it.
as per my standard, PICCIES!!!!!!
Consider that worm imposter DEAD!
Thanx for the help every1
