Thinking back....
I dont think I have ever called the police on anyone..that i can remember...I have thought about it..but never done it..I know how it fucks peoples lives up.They dont call the police "one time" for nothing.
I try to keep my police contact to a bare minumum
My general rule is: If someone isnt getting harming or hurting someone, then mind you own biz and don't call the cops.
I had to, once, after an ex-boyfriend kicked my door down, stole a bunch of tools, and then when I bumped into him a few days later sneered and made noises that he had already dropped the dime on me for my grow.
A quick restraining order and a formal complaint of B&E put an end to that quick.
I'm a grower, not a criminal, and i don't feel any guilt over protecting my home from intruders.
Generally though, I keep a respectable distance between myself and law enforcement, and any dealings I have with them are courteous.
I never call the cops, I have a short but enouf of a history not to want to deal with popo attitude no more. I take the law into my own hands.

no and there have been times its something i probably should have done. there are things that have happened when i pry should have pressed charges but i dont think that locking people up does any good, so im not gonna do that to anyone. some people deserve it no matter what like a serial killer or something i would pry call the cops on something big like that.
i hate wen people call the cops on innocent pot smokers i had some really crappy couple that lived next door to me who called my mom once and said i was blazing shes like i know haha they even called the cops on me during my graduation party. mother fuckers haha
once i called the cops to ask a question about my summons...
other than that i never have and hopefully never will, like trip06 i have enough of a history to never want to deal with a cop ever.
Unless someone is gonna be dead I try to mind my own business. I know its wrong in some situations but thats me, I let karma do the work.
lets see times i have called the cops:
the first time i can remember i was in 8th grade and my friends dog got a bucket stuck on its head and we thought it was suffocating so my friend panicked, started crying, and called 911. hahaha "THERE IS A BUCKET STUCK ON MY DOGS HEAD AND I DON'T THINK HE CAN BREATHE!!!!!!!!!"
my 9th grade year, new years eve standing in jack in the box i saw a drunk man try running across the highway trying to beat a van but did not make it. i watched his body fly off to the side in a ditch. and his drunk friend started screaming everyone who saw it called 911. i'll never forget that night. later on that week the guy died.
while watching my neighbors pit bull kill my dog.( i didnt just stand there i was throwing stuff but he was a huge dog, i regret not jumping over the fence and beating the shit out of him but i didn't want to get hurt)
when there was a drive by 2 houses down from mine. my city is fairly safe, that doesn't happen to often, but the town over is so shitty, and thats where the shooters came from. some guy got shot in the leg, and the only reason i was worried was it was 3 something i knewk ids would be home soon and my house not even a 3 minutes walk away from 3 schools elementary-jr. high. i got to be on the local news with my friend who heard the shots down the street.
Ive only called the police once in my life and it was on accident when I was a lot younger, like I was 6 years old.
However if I thought someone was in real danger, or if i was in real danger I would. But 99 percent of the time i'd prefer not too. Police kind of give me the willies. I get real nervous around them, even if I didn't do anything wrong. but I always treat them with respect.
i probably encounter the police 4 times a week on average just for skating. half the time i would have weed right in my pocket and they DON'T KNOOOOOOWWWWW hahaha feels good.
Never have i called the pigs on anyone. I've wanted to a couple of times. I've called the cops about obstructions in the road, but that's it. I dont like them, they dont like me. I dont like talking to them, they dont like talking to me.
everytime i meet police they either rob me or try to convict me....= i tend to stay away from police they're worse then the enemy mostly.
I had this happen to me too, cops lied and said a bunch of us just needed to move our cars, then once my friends started up the engines more cops came and blocked off the street, started threating to give everyone DUI's and shit. cuffed my mom and put her in the back of the squad car....fucking bull shit.Quote:

I had a visit from Dutch detectives when I lived in Holland , I had a bit of a reputation and they knew a bit about me but nothing they had any evidence of, they asked me a lot of questions about a guy who I had done some business with .
At first it was friendly , friendly but I didn't really know the guy that well and when they weren't getting the answers they wanted they threatened to have my work permit cancelled. I told them they could do what they want as I don't know anything that could be of use to them.
They let it drop and thanked me for my time , I asked "Why the interest in this guy ?" and they told me he was selling all sorts of shit outside local schools.
I would've given them anything they needed if I had known anything but unfortunately I couldn't sell him down the river.
Some fuckers deserve to get arrested, I have done time and deserved it .
It would depend heavily on what kind of crime was being commited wether I dial 999 or 112 or even 911 or whatever the emergency number is where I'm living at that time.
We had an insane neighbor in a past neighborhood who was this ranting, violent, profane, drunken asshole when we complained directly to him about his incessantly barking dogs. So we called the cops to prevent the situation that would have happened next, which would have involved him and my husband harming or possibly killing one another. Turns out, he was Mr. Twisted in many ways. An unspeakable domestic abuser. Someone who was not treating those animals well (no wonder they were barking incessantly--they were pleading for someone else's attention). Someone with a fairly long history of dealing with law enforcment, apparently. We went to court with him four times before he finally (after his wife came to her senses and moved out one day when he was at work) moved someplace else.
I'm much more apt to call cops if I need assistance of some kind than to report someone else. But if you prove to me you're a dangerous, violent jerk and I'm afraid of you--or if I think someone's health or life is in danger--then I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I think the whole anti-snitch movement is unconscionable if there's a question of a felony crime that's occurring.
Once upon a time, I was a youngster that just loved to get high. Sometimes I would get so ridiculous, it would impair my ability to use a remote control.
One such night, a friend and I were getting numbskulled in my kitchen when my parents were not home...when all of a sudden, we heard my neighbor yelling hysterically outside. I therefore decided to sneak a peek out to see what the heck was going on, obviously.
As I stuck my head out the window, I perceived a young man setting the bottom floor of our appartment complex on fire. Now that might explain why the neighbor was acting so damn crazy. She then saw me, and immediately yelled at me to call the police. "Call the police!! Call 9-1-1!!", she said repeatedly.
Well being the stoned youngster I was, I couldn't help but ask... "What's the number??".
My friend laughed at me for about 2 hours straight, and I still hear about it today... damn it!

My friend was badly beaten up, so I called 911. I'm not letting him just sit there without medical attention.
Needless to say, when the police should've done something about it, they let it slide. Meanwhile they bust pot smokers. Sickening. A necessary evil, deterring people from doing anything they want, but at the same time, being totally useless!

I just had 2 call the police when 3 bullets entered my home. Didn't want to, but I didn't have any guns to shoot back with, so I feel I had no other option. Also needed documentation for realty company that I did not cause damage. I think this is the only time I have ever called the police, I can't remember if I did when my mother caught the kitchen on fire and I was a child or not.
Oh, and twice when people hit me in auto accidents.
Ive never called the cops. The ambulance, maybe, for my mom, once when I was 4 or 5 and she sliced her foot open when the top of a glass table dropped on the concrete.
But Ive always put an immediate stop to any problem me or a friend of mine might have on my own. Why waste time on the cops when I am waayyyy more efficient?
Why create a thread ask some questions and answer them later on in the sentence?

There are times when folk should be glad that the cops exist and should be a bit more aware of what it takes to be a good cop.
I have done some very illegal things in my time and I've had a very eventful life , I have spent time in the lap of luxury and I've spent time in prison.
I would've been considered a career criminal at certain points in the past but I still don't hate the police.
They do a job that most people couldn't do , how many of the "I hate the popo" brigade could face dealing with the true lowlifes of society, or telling relatives "I'm sorry to have to tell you , you're son/daughter has been murdered ?
There are good cops and bad cops and just like in the rest of society the public wants scandal so the media gives them it.

whew! it seems like everyone has a comment on this topic haha. I don't like to call the fuzz unless except when there is an actual crime, e.g. an incident in which someone is threatening someone else's property or person. Mostly it's out of respect to others and an implicit hope that they won't call the fuzz because my window is illuminated by an intense, eery pinkish orange light or when I'm smoking a bong on the front porch.
Also, if I reported a crime and the cop came to get info from me about it, I wouldn't want him picking up the subtle aroma of green growing cannabis. That almost happened once after my wife witnessed a lesbian fight (she didn't report it, just talked when the cops got there). The cop was walking into the room and I scooped up by bong and jar of weed and went into another room (the room with my grow). close one

1st time because there where aload of kids running up and down the bonnets of the cars down my road
2nd because me and some lads caught 2 of the lads that had been firing fireworks into the crowd that had been waiting for the all night george romero screenings.
