Naming Peices

I've always felt that a peice should be named while christening it for the first time, just wondering what your guy's veiws are.

I try to but doesn't always happened. I usually wait until something hits me that sounds good or makes sense and sounds good. Took me around 2 or 3 months to name my bong but my other pieces I named in a matter of days.

i do, every single bong i get is called the Atomic Bong :D cos i smoke till i cant even open my eyes, naming your bong its essential its like having a baby, you cant non name a baby, just the same with a bong in my bloodshot eyes

i use names like : gimme the blue one or hand me the bong

Well whenever I christen a new peice I alays make sure I have at least an 1/8 so I have enough time to think of a name.:jointsmile:

ususally it comes to me when im blazed

but the real question is how do you remember the name manana :stoned:

moments of enlightenment, try on the first time but it can take weeks

I've gotta go with the 'nah' on this one. Sorry guys, but I just think naming pieces is lame hahah. Basically all my friends name them and they love to broadcast the name that they think is good. ughhh. Just a little pet peeve I guess.

Eh its all good, I usually christen a new peice with a few freinds to, so we usually come up with something good.

I have this whole intricate ritual with my new pieces, first i pick out a name for it (not allowed to even THINK about smoking out of it until i have a name for it that im really happy with) Then i go out and get some good liquor (usually whiskey or vodka of some kind) and let the glass sit in about 2 ounces of said liquor (usually pour it inside the pipe and put that inside a cup). After its had atleast an hour to sit in the liquor i empty the liquor out into a shot glass and let the remaining stuff on the glass evaporate. Then i pack up a bowl, take a deep breath, slam the shot down, and take a big ass hit and hold it as long as i can. Upon exhaling the first hit ever taken from the piece i say its name, and then it has been named.

Interesting, I'll have to try it one day, would be fun to hit a bong full of vodka, or is that bad for you?

na i take the liquor out before hitting it, flammable liquid in a bong is actually a perfect recipe for a cannon. Minus having something in the stem of the bong to fire out at you.

Well I was thinking of 80 proof, nothing higher than that, (far as I have tried, which is extensivly, you cant light 80 proof liquors on fire), and I have heard of using Vodka in a hookah, supposed to get you drunk and high?

I could see it, because the first hit out of the bowl/bong/whatever always tastes strongly of whatever liquor i use, and since alcohol evaporates rapidly it would make sense.

edit: Not to hi-jack the thread but does anyone else out there try and name their pieces with feminine names specifically?

I usually name mine the first time i smoke out of it. I try to name mine with latin terms. For example, my pipe's name is Magnus (big) and my bong's is Teres (smooth).:jointsmile:

Yea, although I think it might be bad to inhale alcohol fumes?

Feminine names for peices? Well better than naming a bowl Big John if it looks like a...well you know :D
