Hair and Urine test question

Hello...

I just took a hair and urine test yesterday for a new job. I rarely rarely smoke but took two small hits off a joint two weeks ago. We are talking so small I dont even remember feeling anything off of it. The last time I smoked before that was probably a year or so.

My question is should I be OK? Everyone I am talking to says that yes, even if the hair test shows something it would only be a trace and that should be OK but I'm still a little worried. I know up to 50 ngs is ok but dont know what that even means or converts to.

Any thoughts?

Ps. Forgive me if I sound terribly naive. I'm just not a huge smoker and am trippin on the possibility of losing an amazing job for a stupid two hit thing.

The cutoff threshold for a hair test is approximately 3 sessions in a 90 day period. You are fine.

You will be fine on the urine too...

i would shave my head, and tell them if they want a hair, better get a short and curly..

You need to stop posting such horrible advice. If you're trying to be cute or funny, it isn't. Do you think you are the first person to come up with such a funny (funny with heavy sarcasm) punchline like shave your head when it comes to the hair test? You will either fail for refusal to give a sample or they will go for armpit, chest, arm, leg, or pubic hair or use nail shavings. Besides, he already gave the samples. DUH!

thank you very much. so basically unless i smoked three times in 90 days it wouldnt show up at all?

People come here for expert advice. Your comment shows you know nothing of hair testing. You could cause real problems for somebody.

I am serious as a heart attack about hair testing. Please keep your comments to subjects you know something about.

I usually get about 4-6 haircuts in a 90 day period. I'm not getting a hair test or anything (that I know of yet - I'm looking for a job), but I'm curious whether or not that would help if I smoked a half oz. 45 days ago (getting a few hair cuts).

I work for a company that uses hair tests for new hires and reserves the right to test at any time. The company they use will go to the pubes if they cannot find a viable sample elsewhere.
