ANYONE USE THIS STUFF? IT ANY GOOD?
i use GH's PH-down, doesn't take very much to lower it.
I'm still brand new to hydro, but I don't believe PH-up will be necessary... but if someone could clarify that, that would be awesome
just curious how much did you pay for it? i ordered both (1 quart ea) off ebay for $25 w/ shipping
I use both .
Like Ill. said though - lots more down than up . I get it for 19.00 a gallon .
Anybody ever tried G/H up/down powder before ?
Peace
Crispi :stoned:
$12.95/qt. from National Garden Wholesale website, plus tax, shipping, etc ... gallons were $29.95 , so you guys are getting decent prices ...
Welllll - what are you going to do when you adjust your pH and use too much down and need to get the pH back up? :wtf:Quote:

I'm a sucker and dropped 30 dollars on a gallon of the lower, but I'm not a fan of ordering anything on the internet (except for seeds of course, and even then its with a money order). This works great on my tap water (pH of 8.5). I also got a quart of the raise for the times that I use a really strong dose of fertilizer (last month of flowering), or for that random time that I've lowered the pH too much.
The GH raise and lower work out great for me. I use them in soil at the moment, but I also plan to keep using them for my next growing endevour, DWC hydro. Anyways, I recommend them.
What i've been doing is just using a water source that has a PH of 8.0-9.0 to add to the water if i adjust the PH too low... I'm not sure if its a good idea though..Quote:

my tapwater is 5.8, and my RO is 4.5, so I imagine I'll be needing UP, once nutes are added ... I currently use 7.0 springwater from an artesian well, for my soil plants ... I see the GH nutes are buffered, so hopefully, that will help stabilize it ... :smokin:
I have the gh powder up and down. I paid $20 for a pound and a half of each.Quote:

But its just easier if you have the up rather than guesing at how much to put in. After awhile you will know just about the exact mesurement to put in at what ever the ph level is.
Advanced nutrient's PH up and down are far superior than GH and another i forget the name of.The Gh is supposed to be concentrated but the AN is far more concentrated. The qt of AN lasted much longer than GH and the price aint bad neither.
