I'm bored, so here's a couple pictures.
Here's my clone and male storage closet overflowing into the dining room. I have not eated a meal in there in MONTHS. The males are looking kind of scraggly. There's also some peppers in there. They look a little under the weather right now too.
The last 2 pics show my basic propagation setup and a fully rooted MTF plant. Yup, that's a Tabasco pepper tree in the background. Thanks for the pepper plant Demeter!

These three pics are all of the same strain.
The first is a mother-to-be. These are the size pots I keep my moms in. I usually get a half-dozen cuts off each one.
The next 2 are of my new hydro system that is WHOLLY experimental. I mangled the roots loading it up and then had pH issues for over a week- fluctuations from 6 to almost 8 in every 12 hour period for a good solid 5 days before starting to chill out. The ONE plant that is all happy to be in it is doing awesome and has gone from a growing tip plus two sets of fans to THAT in about 2 1/2 weeks. The others are actually starting to recover, believe it or not! One has died. I thought they were ALL goners for a minute!
The strain is unknown. All I know of her is that her parents both came in the 'BOG Medley' mix pack and that is a random assortment of Bushy Old Grower stuff- I crossed the males back in to make more seeds and preserve the genetics for later. I just refer to it as 'xx' but it's QUITE hardy! Thanks, Bushy, for the hardiness.

Now for the good stuff!
My sexy assed bitches!!! Oh yes. I love them.
That's the crawlspace where I confine my lusty ladies until they are needed. There's 35 strains sitting in that bin... foot-tall moms in quart pots... rather rootbound but I hit them with cannazyme pretty regularly and retire them every couple months or so.
I also have just gotten an infestation of ladybugs. It's awesome. I've got a little ecosystem going in my house now!

thats a lot of plants you got there stinky! i wonder what your electricity bill is like. your running way more wattage than me and mine is pretty high. do you run an ac in your grow room too?
-
I'm bored, so here's a couple pictures.
My electric bill is a hard one, it's billed for two apartments actually. I pay electric for my whole building. It has never been over $300- ONCE it hit that mark, and the outdoor temps were close to a hundred with high humidity for a couple weeks straight- and that includes a 2200 watt grow, 3 air conditioners, 2 refrigerators, a deep freezer, a dryer used by 3 people, a ginormous TV, my ongoing construction projects, 2 computers, 2 coffee pots, etc etc etc. In winter it's quite low actually. Usually around a hundred bucks. I literally heat my bedroom with flower room exhaust and ballast heat.
The a/c that relates to my grow is in the room that my flower room intakes from.

That is the most amazing implication of recycling. Nice.

HA! I'm glad to see the Goddess of Ganj plants in trashcans too.
As ever, niiiiiice work milady.

Those are actually 5.5" quart pots.. the scale looks funny in that pic... but they WERE pulled out of a dumpster! Yay scavenging! And my soil flowering plants are often planted in vanity sized trash bins.

I'm likin' the peppers. Are they bananas? I've been doing organic gardening for a long time, really love growing peppers tomatoes and squashes, so the transition to cannabis cultivation has been very easy for me hahah. I'm so going to add some veggies to my grow room now.
edit: Glad I'm not the only one who's drip system looks like a giant black centipide.

you never cease to amaze.
how do you maintain decent humidity???
and no problems with over crowding??
you are IT !!!
-
I'm bored, so here's a couple pictures.
Humidity hasn't been TOO much of a problem; if anything, it gets too dry.
There's a SERIOUS overcrowding problem and if you look at my pics you CAN see that the plants are a little lanky from having to compete with each other.
What I'm doing is NOT even CLOSE to a good example of how the average grower would approach this hobby.
Bud production is secondary to cutting production.
These next pics are of what I did this morning at 6am when all y'all slackers were still snoozling!!!!!
Pic 1 is about a third of my mothers hanging out in the kitchen. This is the BEFORE shot.
Pic 2 is another bunch of new moms that I JUST promoted from lowly rooted clones. They're waiting to be moved into the mother closet shown in the earlier pics.
Pic 3 is my unintended yet welcome IPM... awww isn't she cute! Damn I need to file my nails too. No wonder I am having a hard time typing.
Pic 4 is another ladybug on a PPP I think.
Pic 5 shows my overcrowding problem.

Pic 1 is a small mother in a quart pot- what is left of her- and the five clones I got off her.
Pic 2 is the results of all my cloning
Pic 3- oh shit, that's not cannabis, wtf! hee hee
Pic 4- the same tub-o-hos AFTER their haircuts. Ladies love to have tehy hair did.
Pic 5- What's going on this week in the clone storage closet. These babies are ready to GO! The vigorous new growth means they are ready to flower.

Thank you Greenjeans, I've been told that my whole life, but they are rather on the large n beefy side to consider them 'pretty', lol!

I do, but I'm cheap. Papi does my hair color, and I cut it myself. I am a parsimonious bitch. I do my own nails too. That cosmetology training comes in handy sometimes.
forgot something: If you've been told your hands are pretty your whole life, then they are, regardless of size. They're graceful, smooth, and well shaped. So there. I'll hear no more on the matter ;)

i guess its better to have someone say you have pretty hands than a purrty mouf......

Stinky if you dont mind me asking how long does it usually take your clones before they start there new growth? What type of soil do you use? What size pots do you transplant into before flowering?
Thanks in advance!

The clones lately haven't appeared to even have much of a setback when taken off the plant. They're showing signs of growth within the first 10-14 days after cutting. When roots appear on the surface of the rapidrooter, I put them in 3" pots of that composted humus/manure mix outlined in my grow instructions. They stay there, under flourescent tube lights, until I need them. For flowerin, a newly-rooted clone can go in a gallong pot comfortably. A clone flowered t 10" with minimal pinching if any needs 3 gallons, and if you do FIM etc on the plants figure in a larger pot for a bushier plant.

Awesome thanks alot, your plants just look so good. I really didnt know that soil plants could look so good. Now that i have been doing more soil grows, i dont know if its just me or not but it seems alot easier. I hardly ever run into any problems so i've decided to do more soil grows until i totally understand the mj!
Anyway my local garden store makes its own composted soil mix and i was wondering if you think it would be better to make my own or give them a try. I used the stuff to grow tomatoes this summer and they were absolutely beautiful. She says her mix is humus, chicken manure and feathers, peat and lime(i know im leaving out some stuff because that list of ingredients was longer) . She makes a very large amount of it because alot of people around here likes the stuff so i think alot of the ingredients arent evenly spread.
I want to give it a try but i know how alot of mj growers like to have total control of the nutes there plants recieve. So do you think this stuff is worth giving a try or should i just mix my own?!
-
I'm bored, so here's a couple pictures.
Unless they can guarantee that mix is free of weed seeds and pest eggs, don't even consider it for an indoor grow.
Chicken manure is quite hot for indoors too- That mix sounds like an outdoor gardener's dream, but murder on cannabis plants under lights.
-
I'm bored, so here's a couple pictures.
what about microwaving the soil or putting it in the oven for a while before using it?! Wont that kill the pest eggs?
