1st Grow hydro set up under my stairs

i am germinating lowrider - master low seeds id like help and some advise on my set up PLEz help :P i have posted some pics of my room

i put mylar over every inch of the room it is seald with a tall osilating fan and a small extraction fan in the bottom left corrner my light on temps are high 32* - 35* lights off range from 19* to 22* i am going to buy a carbon filter with a 4" can fan for extraction the room is 3'Wx3'Dx3'6' high and 30" from the top of the rez to the 430 watt HID should i go air cooled reflector good or should the 4" extraction fan do the trick and i am also wondering about how much yeld you guys think i will get with the light i have and 6 low riders-master low

I am also wondering if i could put some poted plants into the room also and how many do you think i could fit? with the 430 watt HPS

When your can fan comes in, mount it as the exhaust HIGH in the room. Exhaust high, intake low. Take advantage of natural thermal currents. You can use that 4" for an active intake right where it is, just turn it around.

o thanx a lot now from the top of my rez to the light is just over 30" is that enough for lowrider and also how many poted plants do you think i could fit in there?

Personally I wouldn't put any potted plants in there... I could just see pests from them getting into your grow :(

no i meant like strile soile for some more lowrides and just water them with nutes space wise i think i could fit another 4 - 6 but im a n00b so i dont kno shit:P

also my lowrider-master low seeds have cracked so i put them into jiffy pellits and they have bin in there for about 4 days not all of the seeds have cracked 16 seeds 6 have cracked so far any idea how long it will take for the sprouts to shoot up or the other seeds will crack?

I've had seeds germinate overnight, and I've had it take as long as a week and a half... Both in the same kind of conditions...

I thought you meant just random potted plants Hah. If they are already sprouted you might as well just stick them in there... If you run out of room, then you'll have to deal with that problem later :P

yeah its a small romm i am worried about how i have limmited height for the light but yea i have the seeds in a humidity dome with a heat pad under it and i wish the sprouts would come up sooner lol :(

Im pretty sure lowryder doesn't get over 24" right? You should be fine...

yea i was told no more then 16" but you dont think the 430 watt hps will be to hot for them that close 15" away from the light

i think if they get to big i will just tie the tops down

Just make sure theres ventilation right over the tops of the plants to blow the hot heat of the light away :thumbsup:

yeah i have the 3' fan 4" bathroom fan for air in and i am going to get a 4" can fan with a carbon filter i just hope the fan is not louad

The bin your pots are in should be light proof because light kills roots. Paint the outside of the bin with black paint and put some mylar over the lid to block the light. You might want to paint the lid black too.

As far as adding potted plants, I would advise against it. If anything, you could probably add another hydro system in there similar to the one you have. Also, you are going to run into some problems when the plants get larger as your pots are only a couple inches apart. Lowrider is a bushy plant and the 400W light is going to have trouble penetrating through the leaves of 6 plants if they are that close together. The lower areas of the plants will suffer.

Also, 6 plants is plenty for the 400W light. I wouldn't add any more.

Are those just net pots on top? or are there buckets to seperate the plants?
