Newbie Buzzkill sorry it's long...

It sucked. I have this really close friend, who always wanted to get high. So I said ok, whatever. She told me to decide where we should do it, so I picked my house, figuring she'd be comfortable there, she's been there alot because I've tried to date her for a year, she just seems to be the friend that hangs around instead. Anyway. So I rolled a nice little joint, not too big, because I didn't want to waste it if she didn't feel anything off the first time. So we smoked, I had a very nice buzz, and realized I may have underestimated the power of that particular bud, but she seemed ok. Actually, as I expected she didn't feel anything at all. I could tell she was high, she thought everything was hilarious, but she swore she wasn't high. Next day, she wanted to do it again. So this time I rolled a big one to "break her in" I guess you could say. Bad idea. She was great for about 10 minutes, laughing and we were playing around, then she started seriously freaking out. She was saying she couldn't breathe, and she started crying and hyperventilating, I was like oh lawd jesus...what I do now? I got her to lay down, and tried to get her to control her breathing, she calmed down a little bit, but decided she wanted to go home and go to bed, so I took her home. It scared the shit out of me. Seeing her cry was one thing, but hyperventilating...my heart was going 90mph and I was shaking like hell. Anyway, a week later she decided to try again. This time I let her pick the setting, the music, the time, everything. I wanted her to be as comfortable as she could possibly be. I rolled a little tiny joint, just in case. We smoked, and I didn't really inhale much, cause I didn't want her to freak out because of the way it freaks me out when I'm high, I can handle her freaking out better if I'm not high myself. She did it again. Flipped the fuck out. She was saying she was allergic to it, and that she was allergic to lorocet, she was going to die, and that I needed to take her to the hospital. I was like chill out babe, it's weed, you're ok...breath...needless to say I never smoked with her again, when she asked to try it again, I was like...no...

anybody had anything like that happen with someone?

Holy shit. Don't smoke with her anymore. It's a waste of weed and way too much stress. Weed should be about relaxing and having a fun time.

But to answer your question, no, not really. My friends and stuff have never really freaked out on me. The worst that ever happens is that since John doesn't smoke that much he gets really high, really fast. And he gets so hyper sometimes. Its a bit annoying but not THAT bad.

Do not smoke with newbies. Period.

when I smoked with my sister for the first time it was great, she was mellow, chill, we just sat on the couch and listened to bob marley over and over and talked about some really cool shit. Most fun I've ever had with my sister. I guess some people can handle it, and some can't

Don't waste your weed bro. Those friends will grow into it hopefully, but you dont need to be the one supplying her with her first smokes. Let her smoke with a few other people first, then come chill with you ;D

This is advice from my pops, and it's definitely true: Some people have "glass heads", they smoke and their whole world collapses, they freak out and go nuts. My mother apparently had one, she'd smoke and exactly what you described with that girl happened to her. I have that to a degree, my tolerance is ULTRA low and if I smoke a lot of really good bud and I'm in a bad spot (i.e. public) I flip out like she does. Over time I've gotten used to things more, but man, it's not fun.

Sounds like she just had too much too quickly and wasn't used to it. Same thing happened to me over the summer. I felt like I was dying. I felt like I couldn't breath and everything was all distorted and I even started dry heaving. Not cool.

But it happened with my own weed that I paid for with my own money.

As still somewhat of a newbie myself, the trick is to take it easy until you're comfortable with the effects of weed. It can be real trippy at first, if you're not used to it. I've learned that if I start feeling anxious to just sit back and listen to some good music while taking deep breaths. After a few minutes of that, I'm back in the warm embrace of weed again with no worries.

My advice would be to try and hook her up with her own weed. Then she won't keep using yours and she can experiement around with it on her own. Give her a referall to your dealer or something.

its so weird. i read all this stuff like u dont get hight ur first time. youll freak out all this shit. i got high my first time and i was in a drainage pipe with a kid i didnt even really trust. i got high and i didnt freak out. i dont get it.

Tryptamine, the weed you gave her was indica or sativa? Ive noticed that newbies tend to freak out when they smoke some sativa, cause they go very energetic and dont know how to handle it... yet, when they smoke some indica, they go SO stoned and mellow that they just havent energy left to freak out... so they just chill...
If it were the case, dont stop smoking her out... remember how you would feel when you were a newbie, if someone denied weed to you... it would suck... i would never deny weed to anybody, even to my worst enemy... so, give her more one chance... this time, give her a more indica-like weed (but with some sativa in it)... so she will chill out and enjoy... :stoned:

I believe i know who your talking about. I've introduced alot of my friends to weed, only a few of them freaked out & i never would smoke with them again, until i knew they was ready for it. I introduced Tryptamine to weed & he was the only one that really got on the same level as me, most of the people i introduced don't smoke no more, or they fien like serious crackheads. Not pothead level, i seriously mean crackhead fiening like stealing roachs & shit.

I've heard stories like that before. Pretty odd if you ask me.

This happened to me when smoking with my younger brother. I let him take a gravity bong hit after a few bowls and everything was good for some 15 minutes and then he started yelling that he wanted to call the cops and go to the hospital.
He says it was the worst night of his life and will never touch the stuff again. Which sucks cause he was my closest smoking buddy.
Taking a cold shower in this kind of situation helps.

one time i smoked two bowls of northern lights with a buddy who had only smoked like 5 times before that. He started freaking out because he was just so fucked up, and I had to sit there with him for 5 minutes rying to convince him that what was happening was reality.

I don't smoke no more but when i do everything turns for the worst, which i'm trying to fix this problem so i can smoke again. I don't freak out tho, i just head for the bed. It takes a minute to get to sleep but i understand if i sleep it's going to be over when i wake up.
