So just thought I would put up a thread for peoples opinion on resin if you like it or not, and if you think it fucks you up more then weed , if you like it alone or on top of a bowl. Just wanted to see what everyone thinks and how they use there resin besides using it to show how much of the dankness you smoke to your friends.
I can't wait to look back in a little but now I'm off to smoke some myself after using that great sticky on getting resin.
meh i'm not really too much of a fan of resin because it's sticky and messy and it doesn't taste great. i've never been out of weed and had to smoke resin though...but i have smoked it once or twice with friends, just i haven't personally been out and needed to scrape my pieces for resin. it gets you high though, but i haven't really smoked it enough to say whether or not i think it fucks you up more than weed.
personally i really like resin, i dont mind the taste at all, i think it gets me much higher off much less, and it seems like a smoother smoke to me. Whenever i run out of bud i scrape my pipe and smoke stems, that usually lasts me until i can get some more. In fact i just scraped my pipe earlier today:thumbsup:
I've had to scrape before. It got me high, I enjoyed it, but it felt like I was smoking crack. There's something I enjoy about breaking up some fine bud into a bowl. When I'm smoking the little black ball of goo, it just doesn't feel right...
i do not like the taste, but it does get me good and high. thankfully i usually have plenty of bud because i like to smoke a lot every day, but there is a couple times a year where i have to scrape it out to hold me over. if it was less messy i think i would be a bigger fan.
The sticky on here on getting resin works great I stayed clean and got a shitload of resin after just scraping last night I know I did scrape it very well but I was shocked at how well it works and the resin isn't so sticky and unmanageable either.
But there definately is something missing when youre not breaking up some fine ass nugs. Im out right now and am using resin to keep me from taking any bud early from my plants.
i think it's gross. Only time I ever considered it or did it was when I was a kid and anything I could get would count. If I want concentrated shit i'll just get some hash or chronic.
Resin serves its purpose quite well for me. I dont mind smoking it, but if I have bud on hand, then I dont really ever smoke it. Its usually one of those things where you are out and need to scrape, or the pipe is dirty and you need to scrape it anyways.
I like to let my pipes "marinate" for a month or two and then i harvest. while there is no comparison to some primo bud, resin is great at getting you high as shit. it feels like you live in a crack den, your fingers get all black, it crackles and bubbles. but theres nothing wrong with getting blazed for free. those of you that dont scrape, check out your pipes and see how much black is inside. fuck oil, this is the real black gold.
I have kind of conflicting views on resin. On one hand, I enjoy seeing all of the sticky black goodness build up after using a piece for a while. But then I always think 'whoa,that is just from smoke passing through this thing... think about what I cant see inside of me from that smoke.' But it's ok, then I just pack another bowl and forget about it hahah.
As far as smoking resin goes, i can be down if its a desperate circumstance. a while back I was in a new location and out of weed, so i just smoked a couple resin/stem bowls. By far not the best method to ease my mind, but it still got the job done. It just seems like ... if you cook bacon in a frying pan, you want to eat the bacon. But if you're hungry enough when you run out of bacon, you might just eat the fat sitting in the pan, even though its sick and not good for you

IDK about now but back in the day old dutch people like my grand parents used to save th bacon grease and spread it on toast instead of butter bc it tasted good and butter was expensive. I've tried it before and it does taste good but I couldn't and could never get over the idea that it was bacon fat.Quote:

I like resin occasionally but its been a loooong time. But i clean my pipe with boiling water (like new). But all this talk about resin has me wanting some. It gets oyu high as HELL, but i hate the headache it gives you afterward... never smoked stems before...

haha about the bacon thing ... I didnt mean I eat bacon fat when im hungry haha. I was trying to think of something that you SHOULDNT do that was simliar to resin. You know, smoking leaves resin, cooking bacon leaves bacon fat? haha i dont know. I'm pretty sure I was a little out of it for that post. My bad.
i've smoked it a few times before when i ran outta the green. there is some resin that will get you baked like crazy and there were times when i smoked a marble sized ball and nothing happened. weird.
rezin can be a dry mans friend.
If I'm out of herb, I won't smoke resin. It's nasty and dirty.
It does get you high, though.
