Home-made glass bong, thoughts?

I'm 16 & I've only been smoking for a couple of months now, but I gotta say, it feels great. :D
The only thing I hate is that being underaged, I can't go and buy a bong from anywhere & I can't order one from the web. I was getting really pissed cause I had to use plastic water bottles as bongs, until I saw this x-large shot glass I bought from universal a couple years ago. So I get a drill & some goggles and I drill 2 holes in it(and of course it cracks, lol). I get some aluminum foil & hot glue to make a shaft + bowl holder. And wah-lah, I got a glass bubbler. xD
Works great and was semi free :jointsmile:

I hope that hot glue being heated doesn't let off anything toxic. I want to make a glass bong but I'm not so sure I want to drill in to glass. I'll have to get a glass bit first.

I would be more worried about that foil.

Oh and of course I washed it with boiling water before I used it, I ain't stupid.

Point well made they feel kids ruin the enviorment here and if they stay we could get shut down. Same reason why we are not allowed to talk about other substances other than Cannabis. So be prepaired for a ban. And you can't come back till you are 18.:mad: We don't agree with the rule ,but hey we have to follow these dumb ass rules.

dont use tinfoil, dont use hot glue, dont join cannabis.com if ur under 18, as a little pointer, replace the tinfoil with a pen tube and a socket

i have nothing against underage stoners fyi, my lil brothers only fourteen and hes been smoking for 2 years, just the site rules, but yea, replace the tinfoil:thumbsup:

Indeed when you heat that tinfoil it oxidizes and makes aluminum oxide which you then inhale..and it just so happens to be pretty darn toxic to humans.

What i used to do in a bind was find a used up long lighter, the ones used to light grills and deep candles and such, cannabilize the metal tube part of it. Be sure to put the end with the holes as the end thats in the water, that way you've got a built in diffuser ^^. As for the other end you can roll up a little ball of rolling or pipe tobacco and use that as "stopper" just put a little bud on top of it and smoke it very softly then inhale real hard so you pull the tobacco through instead of smoking it. Of course there are a billion other things out there that you could use instead of that method as well, you seem creative enough so ill let you figure it out.

nice work, but definately lose the aluminum....

stay away from lead, copper, aluminum and other soft metals in smoking devices....

use some stainless steel sockets from a socket wrench... just make sure they're extremely clean....

and yeah you're most likely going to be banned... i just hope you see this before then, and hope the thread stays up for anyone else who decides to use soft metals for smoking out of.... regaurdless of the age rule, it's just not safe...

Yea, thanks for the info. I'm gonna buy a real glass bong when I get my car in 2 weeks, so I'll just throw this one out or not use it.

Yea, it's a prog. called ZMatrix. It makes your screen look like the one in the movie, with moving letters trickling down your screen.

Personally I couldnt be arsed and ive got a glass bong. But for people who want to I say good on them. I have seen some good homemades on the internet.

err.... well it's program format, but as far as i'm concerned it's just a screen saver.... it's not like it does much else....

Ya try getting a glass bit to drill stuff like that, $3 and take care of it you'll get plenty of projects out of it with no cracks...

in england we have something called a sottie u take a plastic bottle and get ur downpipe for a bong and remove the cone piece so u have a hollow tubeu roll your tobacco into a ball remove the pipe from the bottle then dab it in to ur dope put the tube back in cream it slowly until the bottles filled with smoke the pull hard and the weed and bacci will drop into the water and the smoke goes directly into your lungs the hit is amazing better than n e bong ive ever smoked
