Just wondering, do you guys take the metal safety piece off of your Bics, or doesn't it bother you? I know as soon as I buy a bic i take the sticker and safety piece off before I have to use it.

im to lazy to take off the metal, but it doesnt really bother me either. but i take the sicker off as soon as possible because to me it just looks goofy.
i always take both off makes me feel like im tricking my lighter out lol... it so much easier with out the metal piece it also doesnt burn you if u had the flame lit for a while.
always take the safety off. It makes it easier to flick too!
i prefer it off definitely but i usually dont bother
it never really bothered me untill my friend couldnt light it with it on there im not to sure why he couldnt tho :wtf:
Definatly each time as soon as i get it.. when blazed that metal thing drives me insane.
oh my god thank you for making this thread I don't know why I never thought of this....anyways...I gotta rip the motherfuckers off i fuckin hate em....
I take it off, it's etiquette.
just the stickers...
El Fantistico :smokin:
rip er off
i always tear it off and the sticker too. does anyone else wrap theirs up in electrical/duct tape and then cut shit out of it so u have sweet designs? maybe its just me, but i like the way it looks and it gives the lighter a good grip.
to me that little piece of metal makes a bic a bic. rip it off and it might as well be any random gas station lighter.
Doesn't bother me...
might as well be any random gas station lighter? aaa no? any other lighter breaks and are garbage, no clue why you'd say if the safety is off a bic, its pretty much a cheap gas station light.. duh lolQuote:

I used to rip the safety piece off, but I don't anymore. It just feels more comfortable to me to put that pressure into lighting it. I also feel like when I leave it on the flint strikes harder. I don't like the idea of the flint wheel rolling in my pocket either. The safety also helps keep dirt and lint out of the wheel.
But I do usually take the sticker off.
I use a zippo :D
sweet.. i've been thinking about getting oneQuote:
