Smoking made me cry...a lot...

For the second time in my life, I drank 4 beers, went outside, and smoked a joint with a few buddies. The first time I did this, nothing happened at all, exept for me being a bit tipsy. The first time I did it was three months ago.

Now, after I smoked the joint, I went back inside and everything started feeling all weird. Like I fell alseep and entered a dream, exept that the dream was my life. And I started blacking out for a few seconds and going back into the "dream". I kept trying to stay up and not completely blacking out and it felt so damned weird. Then I had to start fighting against my mind or something to prevent myself from waking up from my "dream", which was my life, so I didn't want to wake up because if I wake up, then my "dream" would disapear. And that means my life would disapear.

Damned, and a few minutes afterwards I started crying so hard for about 10 minutes until someone comforted me and then I started laughing like a maniac....then I cried some more...

Was this normal?? I never heard of anyone crying a lot from smoking weed before...

I'd say the crying came more form the beers than the weed. It's true that weed can open up some floodgates to your emotions, allowing u to feel things you haven't in a while, or don't normally feel....

But mixing alcohol and weed, I don't think you can blame just the weed. Alcohol is a depressant, so if the weed made you think u were in this dream world, the alcohol could have made you feel bad about that.

Just a thought.

I think there was a night I was so stoned out of my mind that I actually cried. I might of been having extremely deep thoughts. Truth isn't always joyful. :( :rasta:

Sounds like you were trashed.

Alcohol and cannabis mix very well, and turn into a sort of whole new feeling. I used to get drunk and smoke cannabis all the time, it's much more intense. I'd say alcohol is kind of a potentiator for cannabis, if the alcohol is consumed before the cannabis. I believe it was the combination of the two which caused you to feel so emotional. I wouldn't completely take the blame off of cannabis... it definitely aided you in feeling the way you did. Also, alcohol would cause you to be more confident, and more relaxed and irrational. But the combination of the two makes a whole new feeling, which I cannot really explain. Both the alcohol and the weed aided in it. It wasn't just the alcohol.

When I drink after smoking, every drink feels like two or three.

Crying off weed? Crying off weed when there isn't a reason to cry (like finding out a relative was in a car accident, etc) is a new one for me. I've been smoking for 15+ years and have seen dozens of peoples "first times" as well as "last times" and tears have never been part of either equation (aside from giggle tears!).

I'd think that it was the combo of the beer and the weed. As everyone has said, alcohol IS a depressant, and I have found that when I mix the two I tend to take on the traits of the booze more than the weed, especial if I've been doing the drinking first. I've never cried mind you, but I have become somewhat introspective and melancholy.

If I were you and wanted to try pot again, I'd make sure that the next few times would be done on a clean palate and without any other substances that could interfere with the main buzz. After you get comfortable with "what a pot buzz is" and like it, you can start testing the water with booze again. Personally, I'd just stick to the weed, alcohol causes nothing but problems.

ive cryed on weed already... but only once or twice... and it wanst only because i was high u know... i was thinkin about something sad tha happened to me

Drinking and smoking can be great fun if you do both at the same time and build up from even amounts.
If you were to ever do something very clever from saving your night out, do not get "pissed" (you know when you're pissed) and then smoke bongs and joints. Inless you like intense spinning, it's just not fun.

In all seriousness, I'm only leaving it up because a lot of the posters wrote a good point, that the alcohol probably did it- it's a depressant.

However, we DON'T discuss getting drunk on here, so I'm closing this thread.
