So girls. I'm not the type of girl to wear so much makeup all the time but I'm wondering whats your daily make up ritual well because I'm trying to pick up on some new stuff to do. Yeah I read mags, watch tv but you know.. just let everyone know!

Mine's included in this thread:

And it hasn't changed much since that posting. Not even the kissy lips at my husband. Oil control is still an ongoing battle for me. I love Bare Minerals makeup even more now than I did when I first used it.
all i do is some black eyeliner on the top lashline, black mascara, and shimmery beige eyeshadow. and only when i feel like it. but it still feels really girly to me.
IF I feel like it...this includes my skincare stuff too.
Steam with essential oils
Aubrey Jojoba Scrub/Mask (or a clay mask)
Aveda Hydrating Mask
Aveda acne treatment
Aubrey Sea Buckthorn moisturizer
Aveda eye cream
Prescriptives custom-blended foundation
Clinique undereye concealer
rouge (will be switching to Ecco Bella soon) or cheek shimmer (Aveda)
Underwear for Lids (Origins)
eyeshadow (Ecco Bella and Lancome are my faves)
Underwear for Lashes (Origins)
mascara (Lancome is great)
(optional) eye liner (Bobbi Brown)
Prescriptives custom-blended powder
lip gloss or lip balm
And of course, fragrance :) and scented hand lotion!
not really a girly-girl, but still love makeup and clothes, go figure.
^^How long does that routine take you, Monkey? I used to use a combination of Clinique and Lancome "underwear" prodocuts, plus the custom-blended Prescriptives foundation (on the days I wasn't too lazy) and powder. But I increasingly have had less and less time, and the creams and liquids take me a long time to get them right, for some reason. That's why I have liked the mineral makeup so much. It's faster to apply and, on me, it looks better than creams or liquids. Probably it helps blot up some of my oil, too.
A friend gave me an Aveda gift certificate. I've never used any of their products. I may have to try some!
Oops I didnt know that thread existed, I should do some searching first. haha.Quote:

Moisturizer and black eyeliner. Sox hat. Good to go. :D
Birdgirl: it takes me a long time to do the skincare routine, so if I am in a hurry, I just wash with gentle cleanser and moisturize. But the makeup, even though it sounds like a lot, takes me 7 minutes. My husband timed me once.
The make-up is just okay, but I highly recommend the following:Quote:

4. For the summer, Caribbean Therapy body mist, for when you're sitting by the pool. It cools you off and smells like tropical :)
Ugh, I can't edit my message above, so I'm sorry gals but I'm posting... again...
I wanted to add that all of the facial skincare products are absolutely excellent, it's just a matter of finding what works for you.
The only product I really was underimpressed with was the sensitive skin moisturizer. It wasn't bad, but unless you are both oily and sensitive, it's not hydrating enough.
normally i don't wear make up, only sometimes for work
daily i use
lush face wash
then organic hemp face moisturizer
and if i decide to wear makeup i usually use
physician's formula foundation
physician's formula blush
mac eyeshadow, (i use like a bronze color which is a complementary color to my blue eyes making them stand out)
physician's formula brown eyeliner
physician's formula brown mascara
burt's bees tinted lip balm
normally the makeup routine takes me about 5 minutes
I know this is more of a womans thread, but I know my wife LOVES Alexis Vogel,it comes in those kits.....its all she uses.
Mine is simple-I only wear makeup if I'm going to work or out somewhere-It's good to let your face be free of anything once in a while. Mine is moisturizer cream, a little liquid conceler, clear lip gloss, black mascara and eyeliner, some eyeshadow. That's it.
I dont wear any brands, just what looks cute and is a bit cheap. Walmart :-p
Wash face
Lotion
Foundation
Powder
Blush
Eyeliner on top and bottom lashes
Various eyeshadow colors
Eyeliner
Lipgloss
i dont wear much. i use a little bit of blush because its winter and i live in philly and i hate fake tanning. i also use a bit of white powder under my eyes because i dont sleep. and i like to curl my eye lashes.
I usually put on black eyeliner on the top and bottom lashes and use some mascara and add my favorite color of eyeshadow and im done!
