An America where war is THE LAST option...an America where people have TRUE freedom...an America where the arts and sciences are profound...an America where people have the right to put what they want into their own bodies and are held accountable for what they do...an America where cops actually respect the rights of citizens...an America that is based on logic and reason...an America that has an isolationist foreign policy...an America that has a LIBERAL government and is open minded...an America where a liberal Constitution is in place...and America which is a Constitutional Republic...an America that recognizes land was taken from the Native Americans and just reparations will be given...an America where African Americans shall receive reparation for the harsh and evil treatment they sustained...an America that has gone back mainly to an agrarian society...an America that does not contribute to pollution.
This is the New America that I envision for us and our children!

I believe in the freedom part, war being the last option, and obviously the idea that people get to put what they want in their bodies. Of course, where cops respect the people who they are supposed to protect and serve (not that there aren't any - there are). Logic and reason, and consititutional... and limited government. Yes, I dream of most of what you say. Except I think the reparations are pretty controversial, and I'm not exactly sure where I stand on that issue. The people who will be getting the reparations would most likely only be distant relatives (relating to slavery of Africans, and the native american part). It's pretty controversial... people who have had nothing to do with what they want reparations for would get reparations, and that's a bit weird. The logic of it doesn't make too much sense to me, but I'm in a grey-area as for the morality of it.
An agrarian society... hmm... tough for me on that part. But of course, I think a lot of our food should be natural. It's obviously not like that now. I do believe in organic food. Maybe I'm confused about an agricultural society... does this mean many many people would be living on farms, as opposed to big cities? If that's so, then I would feel very lonely in a society like that.
Yes, I would love to be part of the future you envision. Especially since I do have native american blood in me. Give me my fucking reparations! LOL, just kidding. Not about having Native American ancestors, though.
Not contributing to pollution - definitely. But the problem with that is this: there will always be pollution, at least until the right technology comes in. Hydrogen fuel releases pure H2O, and once they get that all figured out and efficient... HYDROGEN ALL THE WAY! It would even be better than biomass fuel from hemp. :)
Your future is a dream, and yes, it's possible. Some day hopefully we will have freedom, and less pollution. It could happen once the elites stop keeping us in the dark. But I imagine the whole elite class families would have to die collectively for this insanity to stop. They care about nothing except themselves. Why stop at America, though, Anubis? What about the WHOLE world being free?
Anyone who says this vision is impossible, is ignorant. Lots of people back in da dayz thought the freedoms we have now were an impossibility. Sure, right now it's very, very improbable. But improbable is antonymous to impossible.
Also, may someone please explain the insane liberal bashing I see all the time? What's wrong with open-minded thinking? And please don't quote that fake definition about being so open minded that their brains have fallen out. Really, what's wrong with it?
There's also another problem with this dream, though. A republic is obviously too easily compromised, and it becomes corrupt. I believe that for this to work, a new system needs to be in place. And I don't mean anarchy. It needs to be a system that really has a good system for keeping corruption underground, perhaps 6-feet-deep even (LOL)! The problem with our current system is that the corruption that has been in place for decades has too much power now... and everyone knows the quote about power. "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." So it needs to be a happy-medium, which nobody has enough power to really cause enough corruption to change the system itself.

It is painfully obvious that in our current situation we are not as free as our real constitution demands. We are oppressed to an extent, and the oppression is mainly thought-oppression. This thought oppression is entrenched deeply into our media, which we see and hear every single day of our lives. They try to tell us what to think, even if it's very subtle. The subtlety has an impact on a majority of the population, and that's good for the oppressors. Anyone with a 1/4oz of a brain knows this, unless they are deeply persuaded by such rhetoric and psychological oppressive tactics.
This thought-oppression I see greatly in those who bash on liberals. After all, if everyone was open-minded, where would the oppressor's power stand?

I see, then I misunderstood your post previous to this one, because I didn't know where exactly you stood. I have to agree with you completely, because you are indeed correct on this issue (as I see it). And no, I don't believe they want to save me from myself. Scared of the NWO? The concept is certainly frightening, but it is most likely not what it seems... as not everything is as it seems. I do believe that there is a group trying to set the NWO in place, to rule every aspect of everyone's life. History only shows this as a great possibility. There has always been someone trying to rule the world.

ouch. Well here is the difference. Slavery was still going on after the Constitution was ratified. The same constitution that was ratified in the 18th century is still the supreme document of the land. This is why I FEEL that reparations should handed out because this was in my book, recent. 200 years is not a long time really.

even if we go by your guidelines, who pays? i suppose the simple answer is "the government". the problem is that the government doesn't magically make money appear, it comes from the people. now i don't know about you, but my family emigrated far too late to get in on the slave owning craze. should we only penalize those whose families owned slaves? maybe we should go after the descendants of arab slave traders or the great great great great grandchildren of those who sold their enemies into slavery as a result of inter-tribal warfare. before you go handing out money you must first lay blame and that blame is spread out across the globe.
no, that whole "sins of the fathers visited upon the sons" shtick is a bit too biblical, don't you think? different eras give rise to different atrocities and today's business as usual may be tomorrow's great evil. the present gives us enough to make up for without being forced to atone for the mistakes of the past.

I agree with that for the most part, though I would make an exception for native americans. The entire county was stolen from them and most of them exteriminated. Had hitler managed to send everyone in poland to the gas chambers would he have then been the rightful ruler of poland? At how about reperations for the millions of victims of the drug war? Unlike slaves, who after 150 years have decendents who's ancestry include slaves, slave owners, free blacks, indians, people who emmigrated long after the civil war, drug prisoners can offer a very specific list of damages from the brutal repression. Seems like I remember the term "pursuit of happiness" from somewhere. But like most of what we hear from the government, it's all a dirty lie.

i would only see a limited time tax break for hard evidence money crimes to reparations... and i think a person more than 1/16th documented native american should not pay taxes...
i don't care how bs... i don't think we can give the cheated tribes enough... we murdered nations and entire civilizations... but i think spain should as well... ect ect
but this is really all dreaming... the best way for america to pay, or any nation that has been guilty of great hate crimes, or genocide is through living a just way... we should punish ourselves by chasting our government, and our peoples power... it should be a sign that the moral majority can be easily swayed into justifying horrible acts, and that means each and everyone one of us, maybe guilty, but blinded by pride.
