hairs for sure if its not hairy then i won't buy it
also i kinda like my dank sticky
If it doesnt have hairs you wont buy it? The hairs have such little thc content.
So If I showed you bud w/ no hairs but w/ Chrystals all over it you wouldn't buy it?
lets not fight my friend
I think the smell can greatly determine the potency of the bud. Smoking it is also a very obvious way of telling potency. I always sample the bud before a big pickup. I like to know what my money is going into.
If you can smell it as soon as you can see it, it's good stuff. But, not all good stuff will smell dank. Dank is really wet.
The prettiest tasting stuff will smell sweet, and, knock you off your feet.
The hairs [pistils] have ABSOLUTLY nothing to do with potency, and neither does smell. INFACT, you cant even tell the potency from the amount of crystalls - it's what's IN the crytalls that you can see that gets you stoned.
You can only EVER make an educated guess.
yup, try a hit or two. I've seen (smelled) beautiful manicured hairy buds that were absolutely NFG at all. It smelled like "the real thing" too.

I look for well manicured buds, high (looking) THC content, smell, sticky or dry, prefer dryer stuff that will grind and burn nicer.............but then again i do not usually have the choice, however my dealer is pretty consistant or he was....moved away and need a new dealer now :wtf:
Even though sometimes bud can look and smell great but not be as potent as you might think, IN GENERAL, when you see bud that is clearly covered with trichomes/crystals, it's usually good bud. Don't confuse cocaine with trichomes! In some areas, dealers will throw small amounts of coke on the bud to give it the appearance of having more crystals or to deceive newbie smokers. Trichomes will be skinny with little round heads on the top, and should be a clearish amber color. Coke will just look like small small grains.
I wouldn't depend on smell to determine whether its good bud or not. Just look at the bud closely!
dont buy it unless it smells like orange-citrus rainbow-candy made by elves in argentina
if you're not paying $50 a gram then it's hardly even weed right?!?!?
Why would you throw money away like that if you were a dealer?Quote:

Dealers dont. Laced weed is EXTREMELY RARE, and virtually no one will EVER buy laced weed in their entire smoking career.Quote:

In our area, I'm 100% positive that some dealers, (not very good ones) will do that. In the dealer's case, it wouldn't be throwing money away because it would be easier for him to sell at a higher price, or claim it's better bud to the less knowledgable buyer. :p

The thing is you dont KNOW you have.
Theres tons of storys on here of kids smoking abit too much, freaking out and thinking it was laced - the fact of the matter is the vast majority of dealers dont do it, and if they DO, they're idiots.
They might bump up the price of the weed abit, but it wouldnt be enough to pay for the weed, and the "other stuff."
It just DOESNT happen as much as people think - like i said, dealers are about making money, not loosing it, and good dealers are about making money from a small customer base - if they start lacing weed, the customers will stop buying, and then the dealer is skint.
I didn't buy the weed, I believe that it was put on buy the people I was smoking with. I'm pretty sure that shaking walls are not a normal part of a marijuana high. I also recall my face looking neon in the mirror when I was tripping.Quote:

I look for lots of trichromes, a healthy colour, denseness of buds, and a pungent smell. I dont judge the weed on one of them alone. My most important thing is the quality of high.
You can only really tell if it has been dried and cured properly when you smoke it and see it burn.
I love how teachers/authority/etall will tell you "You never know what you're buying because marijuana is commonly laced with heroin or other drugs, such as PCP or LSD!"
Fuck that. It'd be more expensive if there was PCP in it!
bring someone that knows there bud with you when you buy it.. over time you get to know shit weed from dank weed.. and when you have laced weed you can tell by how the weed burns
yea happened to me i thought i got laced stuff once but it was just really good stuff compared to what i was smoking... lol i felt like the ground was shaking... but i got it the other day and its pretty good shorted me about half a gram thou so definitly not goin back to that jackassQuote:
