Why I hate using Library computers

The computers here are pretty popular, as this library is huge, so there is an electronic reservation system to use them. A guy came up to me and said "excuse me... are you finished?"

I became immediately irritated, and looked up at him with a defiant look and responded "do I look finished?" he nodded and held up his receipt showing his reservation. Apparantly he missed the part that said "WAIT: 5 minutes" I pointed to where it showed I had 5 minutes left on my monitor, and said "Well Im not."

He apologized and walked away.

That's a faulty electronic reservation system.

Excuse me sir, your time is up, i have a piece of paper as evidence.

lmao theres like 30 computers and during peak hours they stay full, so when people type their number into the reservation computer, they get a reciept telling them what the next available computer is going to be, and when it will be available. He forgot to read the part on the receipt that says WAIT: 5 MINUTES and tried to rush me off.

I wasnt feelin it that day and presented him with a challenging tone and body posture(from a sitting position to him standing behind me). He wasnt looking for confrontation, though, and I wasnt trying to waste my time bloodying up a no contest. It ended quickly and without incident thanks to his reassesment of the situation.

I hate it because they are normally slow but even if they aren't you get no privacy and the websites that you want to go on are normally "limited" if you get me heh.

I understand of not having the privilege of having a computer with internet at home. I use to have to goto the library every day just to check email it sucks.

if you use a college library they usually have lots of computers and no limits.

I to, was a library internet person..I would be out front everyday at 10am when the church bells rang..as soon as the bells rang, this very attractive (hot) african american librarian lady with huge breasts and glasses would open the door..she was so efficient..I swear sometimes I only went to see her..:)
They also had a 1 hour time limit...
A lot of homeless use the computers
Then I got a new computer..:(:thumbsup:
