What do you fight about in your relationship(s)?

This is my official October 1st Geonagual-motivated thread. What do you and your significant other/spouse/girl- or boyfriend argue or fight about? Dave and I argue about really dumb stuff. We settled the biggest disagreements long ago. Here's a sampling of things we've "discussed" over the last two weeks. Like I said, dumb:

• Who gets the remote control (he always has to have it)
• Which towel--pink or white--should be folded and placed on the dining table for one of the cats to lie on. I felt a thick, plush white one better complemented orange tabby fur and was a nice way to honor the University of Texas, too. He felt a ratty pink towel was more suitable.
• The fact that I was brushing that cat while he was lying on the dining room table (Not during dinner or anything. There wasn't any food around for five miles.)
• Who forgot to get coffee at the store (I forgot it but he's the only one who drinks it)
• Whether I should stop feeding my dogs their summertime treats called Frosty Paws (it's dog ice cream) since it was late September (No. The answer here is no. It's still hot in Texas.)
• Exaggerated farting (hint: this wasn't me)
• Football game volume on the TV (ditto)
• Who lost the kitchen cordless phone receiver and the second pair of kitchen shears

anything and everything....

i don't think either of us really fight aobut anything inparticular anymore... just get aggervated from day to day annoyances with each other until we feel the need to let go...

we tend to go for awhile without a fight, and then WW3 breaks out.... we're both hard headed and neither of us has the capability to just let things go...

Still to new.....about the only thing to argue about is whether it's going to be doggy style or reverse missionary.:thumbsup:

When we argue, there is usually a lot of humor involved , which is how I say what needs to be said without being "bitchy". But we have also got over the major issues.

Well, I have pretty much given up the TV. When he is watching TV is when I'm on here. I got real tired of hearing him whine about what I watched. I lost the battle! (Now what is so wrong with Lifetime, Oxygen, & WE ? )
Sometimes he will think I haven't eaten enough, and he rags on me about that. I rag right back. I'm a big girl.
He is an awful back seat driver and tries to tell me how to drive. " That guy is pulling out" Uhhh... No duh. I see him. "You're speeding!" OK- The speed limit is 65, and I'm going 66. SORRY! "You're gonna hit that guy." No, I'm gonna hit you!
But the one thing we argue about almost every night is whats for dinner. He is horribly picky and so am I. It's hard to agree on something we both like.

I really didnt talk about what we fought about..just what I dont like about her..sorry..I will not participate in this thread..still a great one though.

me and th ewife don't really argue about the TV Anymore... both of us have TV cards with cable in our comps... so technically she can be on her computer watching tv, and me watching tv on mine, and someone else could be watching their own show on the real TV...

was only 40 or so bucks... but that little card certainly has spared us aloooooooooot of fighting... cuz we used to always argue over it... she dont' like my shit, and i don't like hers and that's never gonna change...

maybe once in awhile there'd be a show on we both wanted to watch or movie.... but that was pretty rare....


btw i'm the same way when the wife is driving, but it's not cuz i think she's a bad driver, i do it with everyone.... i don't feel secure in a passanger seat anymore now that i've been driving.... i don't claim to be perfect myself, but i sure do notice everyone elses mistakes when i'm a passanger.... it just.... scares the shit out of me to let anyone else drive lol...

so if i'm in a passnager seat and the wife is driving i just shut my mouth... cuz she gets nervous/flustered easily....

We don't really fight anymore; especially not now (He's in jail) but when we do fight it's over stupid shit, like he wants to watch Pokemon and I despise the show (he's such a kid at heart), sometimes I get over-emotional and take things to heart that I shouldn't, like little comments..I can't think of any off the top of my head, I just know I've cried when I shouldn't have. Lol, I can't help it. I'm moody.

Notice how the biggest fight we all seem to have (or at least that we want to share...) is over the TV. I think guys just have a shitty choice in television ;)

anyways: tv volume, who's gonna make supper, beer money LOL, doing laundry, him wanting to swipe the car, his brother coming over, his grandpa's latest stupid actions...and the list goes on.....

I'm not much of an arguer in a relationship.
I don't bicker, PERIOD.
If you don't take out the trash, I will grumble and do it myself.
If you NEVER take out the trash, I will eventually decide that you are a lazy bum and kick your ass the fuck out.
Basically, if it's worth discussing, we can do it reasonably.
If it isn't, I can't be bothered.
If it's something I don't think is going to change, I'll either decide to deal, or decide that it's a deal-breaker. It may take me two years to get around to giving an eviction notice, but be assured it is coming.

You want to live in the hive, you'd better make sure the Queen Bee is content.

Lack of money.

well its not really a relationship, but its always been an issue with him that i dont want to label our time together... he wants me to admit that hes my boyfriend when hes not. he wants me to as he put it "get over the fact that i broke your heart but im trying to make it up to you" like i can control how i feel.. he wants me to take him back and pretends everything is perfect and we can get married and have dogs and kids and the whole nine... and i just cant.. not just for what he did, but sooooo much other Shit that happened before and after he came along.. oh and the fact that i found out i was pregnant two weeks after we were no longer speaking, had an abortion and didnt tell him about it b4 or for 3 years after.. oh and were only 23and i just told him 2 days ago i didnt want to see him anymore..

Sex has been our only reoccurring argument between my girl and I...

Our biggest fight though (and most serious) was when she went to Vegas for vacation. My big issue was gambling... I dont have a problem with the occasional lotto ticket or poker game but I have serious problem with my gf going off to gamble away 100s if not 1000s of bucks when there are so many other things we could do with that money (especially since these 'things' are things we both talk about and want). In the end she told me the main reason she wanted to go was a Beatle and Elvis show and she promised not to gamble.

The sex argument I wont go into since I already made a thread about it... No use repeating.

Money, bills, who puts the dog up when we leave, and of course, the tv remote:)

Just normal, day-to-day petty arguments. I think they can be fun sometimes though.

hehe thats adorable, you should start more topics! My last relationship didnt produce a single fight for the first 2 years. And like you, the major issues were dealt with long before(I saw to it), and any fight after that was pointless and petty. But such is the nature of things, people love to push buttons, especially the buttons of those we love the most, oddly enough. Those sound like a perfectly healthy list of petty arguments though, gotta keep things interesting somehow!

He hates walking the dog alone, I think its ridiculous that I have to go on every walk the dog goes on when I have school work to do after I get off work at night.
Healthy eating (he's a health freak)
house work
other small things that really weren't worth fighting about. We bicker a lot.

At first it was weed. then she got over that and now its she thinks i talk to girls and shit. i typically don't fight with her because she rarely makes me mad. oh and something stupid we have fought ALOT about is my drumset.she hates it so much.

basically for men its if she isn't happy were not ganna be happy.

You know, I make sure I have coffee. I always give my girlfriend the remote, she'll concede it for a Yankee game, his farts (probably) stink more than yours, you don't need to wear a tie, and he should always have it in the back of his mind that you let him have his way. :toilet_claw:

A lack of affection and general quietism from her can lead to disgrepencies at times. Other then that, it's pretty chill, I am a pascifist remember..

Hmmm I cant remember all the shit John and I argue about but:

* we do argue about politics A LOT! He says some of the most dumbest shit ive ever heard when it comes to politics. He always takes the news he hears on the t.v. and exagerates one point. It just pisses me off.

* Oh and he always tries to take my shirt off and unsnap my bra at really innapropriate times. He's always feeling me up and shit. Its all about my tits to him. He's like a child.

* He makes sex comments all the time and I laugh at them but he cant handle it when I make them back.

* He's messy and i'm a clean freak so the house never stays clean for more than a day and I have to re clean all over again. He's like a fucking tornado.

* He had to buy a guinea pig (named Jeff) and now I take care of the damn thing.

* He ALWAYS wants me on top during sex. This is not my fave position. He picks this because, again, so he can play with my boobs.

But all in all, these arguments don't get THAT heated. Sometimes they do but usually they just fade away after make up sex or whatever. It's never that big of a deal. We never really hold back when things piss us off and i'm happy thats the way things are. We deal with problems ASAP so things never get the chance to build.

we never really see each other much,, she works and goes to school,, and we live 8 miles away but dont really chill at all or talk on the phone,, when we do chill its awesome but when we dont its for like periods up to 1 to 2 weeks not even on the phone but rarely , it gets to me,,,, i try not to argue but i let her know how im feeling, sometimes it comes out wrong and she gets defensive,, i just miss her alot, were on a break right now, since yesterday, i really love her alot, but it sucks, i dont know whats goin on

• Who the cat belongs to. I say it's him. The cat only hangs out with me when he wants food, water, catnip, or has an ouchie. When he wants love and cuddles, he goes to Papi.
• What kind of food the cat should eat. I buy Science Diet. He buys Meow Mix, which is basically like feeding your cat Doritos and Mountain Dew. Within a week the cat starts looking raggedy and shedding everywhere. I say i-told-you-so, and the festivities commence.
• He never, and I mean never cleans the bedroom or changes the bedsheets. This job always falls to me. We both sleep and fuck there. Why am I always the one to tidy it up?
• His procrastination.
• My morning grouchiness.
• Who is allowed in our home. I am friends with a couple of my exes, and this is a touchy subject. He is friends with some people I just can't stand. So we've just decided to honor each others wishes and keep anyone out that we can't mutually agree upon.
