Whats your most common food
Everyones got a dish that they eat the most because its easy to make or because you like it etc..
my most common one that I have most times in the week/month would probably have to be spaghetti bolognese because its easy to make and its delicious and also my favourite!
the other one would probably be an indian dish, chicken korma either order it from the indian or buy it ready made I rarely can be bothered to cook it from fresh but its delicious and even though its indian, its eaten all the time in england, gorgeous when your pissed (drunk) aswell.

Rice is so boring though, it's just a "filler" food. Rice with chicken cooked inside the same pan, yeah, once a weeks, it's horrible.
-
Whats your most common food
I dont think rice is boring it can literally go with ANYTHING, italian dishes, lots of asian food, currys etc..
-
Whats your most common food
make 1 cup of rice (coooked 2 cups) mix with 1/4 cup butter and about 1/8 of sugar (sweeten it to your taste)
used to be one of my favorite stoner munchies lol..... can't stand rice any otherway unless it's like stir-fried rice with shrimp OR mexican/taco rice....

Rice is virtually in every culture, but when you eat it everyday, you get numb to the taste, and it's just "there." I do have different kinds, different flavors, but it's still just rice.
-
Whats your most common food
Hmmm true but mostly asian cultures, I cant actually think of an english dish with rice atm.
-
Whats your most common food
We alternate between chicken soup and beef stew.
For a filler I love egg drop soup. I bring a quart of chicken stock to a boil. While it's boiling beat four eggs, 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ground black pepper and 1/4 cup grated romano or parmagiano cheese. Once it is boiling turn to simmer but keep the bubbles going..................with a whisk stir in the egg mixture making a figure eight with the whisk until the egg looks like little rags in the soup.
That's it! Put it in a bowl, sprinkle with more cheese and mange! Awesome on a cold fall day or night. :)

by english do you mean actually english, or american? lol... cuz american dishes aren't even american.. nearly all are partially or majorly borrowed from other cultures....
off the top of my head tho.... (for american) gumbo... rice is used in almost all gumbos and etoufee's.....
-
Whats your most common food
I'm not a big fan of rice.
I eat some form of pizza, wether it's actual pizza or hot pockets or pizza rolls, several times a week

Oh but you can cook rice with spices and herbs and liquids and give it an extra kicks in flavor! My lady cooks about 30 different kinds of rices and I love them all. Eating chicken and rice daily is part of my diet and prepared in a fun way, it never gets boring!

ima guess she whips this stuff up just by eyeing it/tasting it and knowing what to do?
that's how i cook so no two meals are ever the same unless it's a recipe someone's asked for me to repeat.... meals that are the same are boring... it's the ability to just go with a basic idea of what you want it to taste like and season it from there that keeps dinner a thing to look forward to..... well imo....
recently tho i've started making chicken fried pork chops with homemade cream/country gravey.... i love it.... my brotehr loved it... hell even the wife loved it and she hates meat lol....

Frito Pie
1 pound Velveeta cheese, cut in cubes
1 can (10 oz.) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 package (10 oz.) regular size Fritos
2 cans (1 pound, 8 oz. each) chili without beans or about 5 cups homemade chili
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Spray a medium-size baking dish with non-stick spray. Combine the cheese and tomatoes in a saucepan (or see note below to use the microwave) and heat slowly until the cheese melts. Heat the chili in another saucepan.
Place half the Fritos in the baking dish. Spoon half the chili over the Fritos. Cover with a layer of cheese sauce. (There will be cheese sauce left over to use as a dip.) Scatter the remaining Fritos over the cheese. Cover with the rest of the chili and sprinkle with the shredded cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered about 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
sound delicious!, Im gonna make this sometime in the next week :)

My favorite food would be DelMonico steaks. I let them sit over night in the fridge and marinate in a mixture of 80 percent apple juice and 20 percent Dale's Seasoning, then fish 'em out the next day and apply my homemade top-secret hand rub to both sides of the steak (I hate one-sided tasting food!). Then I let the meat rest until it gets close to room temperature. At that time, I fire up the grill, let it get hot enough to work with, plop them good old steaks on, and grill 'em to order (however you like it cooked). I usually do some veggies like red/green/yellow bell peppers, zuchinni and yellow squash, and sometimes tomatos (salt and peppered, with a little extra-virgin olive oil on them) first, then throw the steaks on last. The wife does the garlic mashed potatoes, and the salad, and we have a meal fit for a carnivore, LOL.
And like notransfer, my favorite drink would be milk.
My most often ate food would probably be chicken, in one form or another, whether it be with rice, pasta, or whatever.
And I drink water most often than anything else. DaSani. I hate that crap that comes from the pipes where I live - it's nasty.

I eat burritos at LEAST 4 times a week, just because that's what they serve at the cafeteria at work. They aren't very good. To add insult to injury, I used to line-cook at a burrito bar that used MUCH better ingredients, and local produce in season. Watching an incompetent student try to roll a burrito with absolutely NO clue how to do it, plus the fact that the contents of the burrito are questionable at best, and they won't give me any damn cilantro (it's only for the noodle bar, wtf), makes me want to jump over the counter and put on an apron. It's pathetic.
For food I eat at home, cheese and triscuits. Seriously. Like, bachelorette food- I can't justify cooking a nice meal unless company is over.
Who's coming to my place for dinner tonight? :D

:wtf:  :what: :tin foil hat:
Rice is the perfect food.
It's delicious and nutritious, and I eat it at least 4-5 times a week.
Buttered rice, fried rice, stuffed peppers, chicken & rice, beef & rice, turkey with wild rice stuffing, pilaf, biryani, congee, rice pudding, rice casserole, Spanish rice, Mexican rice, rice crispy treats, curried rice, Cajun rice, Jamaican dirty rice, Rice-a-Roni...
Or plain rice a base for stir fry's, Chinese food, Indian food, Thai food, vegetarian food, pork chops, etc...
Or as an ingredient in soups, deserts, salads, meatloaf, or ANYTHING you can think of.
MMMMMM.... RICE!
