Question about moderators, not an insult at all just a ?

I know I haven't been on here long but I was just wondering how a mod becomes a mod?
I have no problem with the mods infact, and coming from someone recently banned, i think they do a great job. I know my ban was weren't and appologized for my actions. :sorry1:
I was just more curious on the workings of the site and how the people who keep this site at a higher intergrity then other cannabis based boards out there got to that posisitions. I've seen a lot of bad mods and have yet to run into one here. And I have read A LOT of threads on here, a lot twice lol.
Sorry if it's in the wrong place it was the best suited I thought I could find. and thanks for the work mods I won't be banned again i'l l be good. (of course Ive read a lot of these and then the name says banned LOL

Bribes. For most it costs some pot, others take only cash while others are paid with sexual favors. :eek:

Current mods and the administrators look to the membership and talk it over like the table scenes on That 70's Show.

They are highly paid and gets lots of free smoke to keep them calmed down so as not to get all pissed and go postal on posters.lol:D

I had to write checks to both Birdgirl and P4B before I could even be a member.

For FBR, the key is women. Good looking women. I help acquire them for him.

They all have a price. In some cases, it's steep.

I didnt even know there were mods on this board cause it runs so smooth.

All kidding aside, members who have made good contributions in the past, with few/no significant flame-outs or other rule violations, who can dedicate a lot of time, who appear to have solid ethics, and who can communicate well in text and work well with the rest of the moderation staff, tend to be the ones considered.

There's no pay, in terms of pot, beach dudes, hot girlies, krispy kremes, etc... although p4b hands out tissues all the time.

I could never be a mod on Cannabis.com.

Moderators are carefully scrutinized ... background checks, credit rating, work history, sexual preferences, IQ tests, and family genetics all play a part ... first hurdle is the hardest: 'were your parents married ?' ... Moderators have tough qualifications to meet because "they go where no Man has gone before" ... :D (I am so full of shit :D)

Moderators are 'the man', and admins are like the corrupt government. :stoned:

This may not reflect my post count due to my new username but I spend a lot of time on this site and lately I've been curious as to how one goes about becoming a moderator?..or like earning the mod title?..

Do you have to commit a certain amount of hours or at certain times? What other prvileges or abilities do you get? And you don't get paid right?

Moderators are chosen by the other moderators and sundance I believe. You become one by sensible posts a good record, charisma, being a regular, knowledgeable, etc. There are lots of privileges mods get such as, the mod only forum, bigger avs, their own title, bannings, post deletions, editing posts, giving out infractions, and sure many other secret powers we have no clue about.. :jointsmile:

And as the site grows so does the need for moderators, so just stay good and likable, and one day, maybe just one day.....

all of our mods have been genetically engineered and preprogrammed at the factory. they are all linked directly to their computers and fed a special top-secret diet of herbs, caffeine and high-fructose corn syrup. they have no life outside of serving the cancom community and are incinerated once their usefulness is at an end.
