huh?
who?
Oh yeah... I think I heard that Boston had a basketball team... :D
Easy to forget when everyone is so completely obsessed with the Sox (not that there's anything wrong with that...).
How are those Bruins doing?
red sox is gonna have to move out the way cuz the celtics are the new powerhouse. i bet they gone win the championship!!
THey have 3 players. 3 really good players. But they can't do it all. They'll make the playoffs but they need a PG and some more depth on the bench. Finally a reason for Celts fans to cheer.
Raptors, eastern Conference champs. Book it :p
Dude, they got Rajon Rondo. Ok sure, it's only his 2nd year, but this guy is the 2nd coming of Gary Payton.Quote:

He doesn't need to shoot, all he needs to do is feed the ball to KG, PP, and RA. If I was Rajon, I'd be salivating out of my mouth!
Their real problem is the bench, and center. I don't know of Kendrick Perkins can cut it at C. While they have Posey, and House, they need to shore-up the front court, which would be impossible at this point in the season, unless they miraculously convince Chris Webber to join them.
Forgot about Rondo.... A lot is riding on that 2nd unit.
Boston 1 - Toronto 0
Good first game. T.O. shot like shit and it took OT for Celts to win. Gonna be a great battle this season.
yeah!!! hahahQuote:

Their depth isn't that bad, at least on the wings. Posey and House are capable replacements.Quote:

KG getting his 5th foul and hitting the bench early in the 4th allowed the raps to go inside uncontested for most of the quarter.Quote:

The Titanic division gets some respect again.
Celts are too good right not it's almost unfair for the rest of the league. Granted, their wins haven't been against any of the NBA powerhouses yet (*cough*Spurs*cough*) but they are looking really good. Plus, KG is tearing it up for my fantasy team!
let me ask my monster in law. <G>
She is a knowlegable b'ball fan (though, a celtic fan)
I'm a Boston fan, no matter the game.
Shovelhandle
the celtics is the best team in the league right now so all that doubtin and hatin should stop...............
Oh i forgot all about this thread. well the celtics beat the lakers in six games, and they got the 07/08 championship. So to all the doubters:Quote:

you're a little slow.
It's kind of interesting to see what you wrote a while back and see how accurate it was!
I was right about Rajon Rondo, I was wrong about Kendrick Perkins and the bench. The frontcourt was deeper than I initially thought. Posey proved to be a more than capable replacement, as he's collecting a fat paycheck with NO now.
Boston will repeat. Book it. I'll see how right I am in a year!
the boston celtics did lose posey, but their bench players are developing quite nicely. i do think they are going to be good this year, but for some reason i dont think they are going to win again.
my bet this year is houston rockets. they got a nice line up and a pretty young(except for dikembe mutombo lol) and very tallented bench players.
the Rockets against the celtics would be a nice finals to have. but probably wouldnt happen.
The rockets are definitely interesting. But I don't see it happening because I see there have some risks and none are about Artest. The first question is McGrady's durability. Without him, the Rockets are done championship wise. Sure they have great depth, but not enough to offset the loss of. The 2nd is Yao. In the regular season it's all dandy, but come playoffs, both of them must be healthy in order to eventually compete with NO and Lakers. Even then, NO and Lakers are teams they'll have to battle out with.Quote:
