Bored as hell in the city of Austin

Someone help... this kind of sucks, I'm out here for work, in Austin, and I have nothing to do and no where to go. Someone lend me a pistol so I can blow my brains out. The only thing I do is go back to the room after a stressful day at work and start drinking. What is there to do? And mind you, I'm alone, so going to a club or to a bar isn't exactly on my priorty list since I'll probably look like a loser going there by myself, anyone wanna hang out and show me the city? Lemme know, I wont bite lol:wtf:

there are some great swimming holes off of mopac and 360. everyone usually has a couple beers down there.

TONS of music venues and bars......i often go alone to try and meet people, and some of my friends arent 21 yet

if you like mountain biking there are a lot of trails to ride on. walnut creek park, town lake. etc...

but if your really looking for a pistol theres McBrides that sell guns on Lamar and Reds Shooting range down sounth. :gunfighter2:

Im sure you can find at least something to do here.

I'd rather not say here, hence the name paranoid lol but what I do aint shit, just another job. Want to meet me downtown for a beer one day? I'm only going to be in town another week than I'm going to split. Anyone else wanna get together? PS, I don't have a mountain bike but that sounds like fun :D and do I need a gun to go down to the range? Or any permission/permits blah blah blah? I havent shot a gun since I moved out the hood lol...well I'm going to explore downtown austin, 6th and congress.. heard theres places down there and going to eat at Ihop by mopac and rollinghill should be there about 10 ish, I'll be wearing an LA hat if you wanna hang... but thanks for replying, I was shocked to see such a quick responce, thanks anyways ;)

ahhhh so a short visit........about how long will you be here for? and what area of town are you around.

i ask all the questions because austin has a lot to offer and it sucks when people dont see the fun in it.

if your looking for a good beer there is a place called "B B Rovers" that has over 300 different beers from all around near 183 and Duval if you know where that is...?

Im leaving thursday of next week, the 20th.... and I'm near abouts route 71 by ben white smoething or another. Want to get together for a beer? Beer is no fun if your drinking it alone, trust me, going on day 5 of doing that and its getting boring. I'm going to go downtown again later tonight to probably grab a bite to eat and check out some stuff. I was on congress and 9th and saw a beautiful view of the capital building it looks really hot.

austin in my eyes is one of the nicer places to be, and then if you party it has good college party scene

A lot of people are going to the ACL this weekend, I want to try and go down to San Antonio either Sat or Sun and check out the alamo and the river walk, but seriously, I've got nothing to do besides that besides sit here and twiddle my thumbs, what I wouldn't do for a blunt right now.... its been over a month, I'm about to pull my hair out lol, its already falling out enough byself so I guess I wont lol, but like I said, lemme know, thanks.

sorry bout that man, ive been busy with school and trying to go to ACL but that didnt work out.

I've been in Austin alone dozens of times for business, and never have trouble finding great places to hang out. There are a lot of places you can go for a drink alone, and nobody will care. In fact, you might meet some really good people.

Take a chance and go out and see some of the sights. There are a LOT of beautiful ladies in Austin. Even old codgers like me can at least enjoy the scenery.

Well Austin was great though, great food and nice people. I'm back in Jersey now :D
