HEY! So, I finally got my 360 sold and I am going to buy a PS3 and at least 2 games, maybe even 3, and if GameStop has a "trade 2 next-gen titles in, get 1 free" then I might even get 4 games! So!!
I need you guys to tell me some MUST HAVE PlayStation 3 games, and/or accessories. I'll have about 100-150 bucks to spend on accessories or stuff.
What do you guys recommend??
Its not ps3 only, but you cant go wrong with Guitar Hero for ps2. IIRC, all three games for GH work on the ps3, and I have gotten more entertainment out of that series then almost any other.
i don't have a 360, but resistance seems cool.
resistance for fps if you like just hardcore bullets everywhere, i hear RB6 is good but lags really bad, and RB6 of course is for more strategical play
ninja gaiden sigma is pretty cool too, i'd say that for action
the darkness will keep you busy along time lol
blazing angels is pretty damn sweet too
full auto 2 sucks, it looks like it'd be great if you're into twisted metal and stuff but trust me it sucks...
not ps3 only (they're on ps2) but god of war i and ii are two must haves imho
well seeing u only have about 5 games to pick from it should'nt be too hard to find something.
Yeah, I ended up choosing the 60 Gig, with an extra wireless controller, then I bought The Darkness and Ghost Recon 2. I've been playing the Darkness about 3 hours and I had to force myself to start playin Ghost Recon. Anyway, I also pre-ordered, paid in full, Heavenly Sword. So in 5 or 6 days, I'll be able to go pick it up, so that's badass.
And last but not least I put five bucks down on...ASSASSIN'S CREED! Which doesn't come out for like another 2 months anyway, but heck yeah.
SO!! As we can ALL PLAINLY see, pot heads don't spend ALL their money on pot. Games are JUST as much of an addiction.
My friend told me, as I was buying all this stuff, "Damn, I'm glad I don't have a video game addiction." 10 minutes later, old boy was talkin about spending a couple grand on upgrading his, already badass, system in his, currently unworking Bravada.
Well, I may be addicted to games, but...damn....dude is addicted to messing with his car and system.
good thing you chose the 60 gig.... the new 20 gigs and all the 80 gigs don't have the EE chip, which means less backwards compatibility...Quote:

If you didnt notice there are no hot games coming out for the ps3. All of the best games are gonna be on the 360 and the PS3 doesnt have any exclusives any more so with the 360 your not missing out on anything that was gonna be for the ps3. Whatever though 90% of all those games are gonna be shitty the only thing that may have a little buzz and can back it up will be lair! All of Sony's big name exclusives are no more except maybe Final Fantasy and that probably wont be for long. So the fact of the matter is selling a 360 for a PS3 is just dumb and he'll regret it because there are far better titles for the 360 than the PS3. I havent played my ps3 since purchase and i have to say that Resistance was mediocre at best. If he wanted a ps3 he should've bought one and kept his 360 now he'll regret it.

I think I smell an XBox fanboy. The point is, I'm not a fanboy of any system. I'll go with what's the best for me and my playing style. The 360 just didn't do it for me; none of the exclusives coming out for the 360 really interest me, and the games that are coming out for both systems...well, I'd rather play it on a PS3. Game developers have even said that, excluding the fact that it is harder to program, they have just scratched the power on the PS3. The 360 has been out, what, 2 years or so? The PS3 about a year? My point is, the 360 is tapped, been tapped, and isn't going to get any better. Edit: In a related note, a friend let me borrow Fight Night 3 for the PS3, and, despite the fact that I've never, ever been into boxing games, it is AMAZING. We set it up on another friend's 64 or 68 inch big screen and it was like watching a freaking boxing match.

I just like to add the fact that 360 is the only system that has any kind of online experience. With the PS3 once you finish a game you'll sit it on the side to collect dust because it has no replay value. I tried Resistance online and it was probably the laggiest game i have ever played in my life and i have played some pretty laggy starcraft games in my day!

I know, hell I regret things like selling my top loader NES back a few years ago. I still have an NES (2 original models) but man I would kill to have my Top Loader back again. I looked it up on the internet and the damn thing sells for 100 bucks...not worth these days when you can play the game just as good if not better than before on a rom on your PC...but it's always a regret. Same as when I traded my PSOne off after I got my PS2. I regret that.
He'll regret getting rid of his 360 down the line, something will come out or he'll get an itch to play something he had before..it's almost a guaranteed occurence.
Obviously you didnt read a thing i wrote because if you did you'd notice that i said i played resistance! I bought the ps3 because at the time they had exclusives like Assassins Creed, MGS, DMC, and the Final Fantasy games. I hate bare-knuckle! You hurt yourself just as much as you can hurt your opponent. I do like the fact that my hand speed is alot faster as opposed to wearing gloves but i fractured my knuckle last time, which is why i hate it! I hit the guy on top of the head when he ducked and i chipped a piece of bone! Lemme tell ya, that shit hurts, maybe not right at that moment but it'll start kicking in making the fight harder to go on in if your adrenaline starts to slow down.
