grrrrr.....clean up today

Well, I got this job interview tomarow at this place with some sort of anti-drug policy (because its their business what you do on your own time :mad: ), so I figured today would be a good day to try to detox my system with some niacin... OK great, got that out of the way this morning been drinking water all day... And nobody is home. At all. Gonna be gone for a while still. And I'm bored. And I have maybe 2 bowls of shwag left (I was smart enough to unload the rest of my chronic on a buddy last night)... This is hard. Very hard. I'm ultra bored, I have herb, and I cant smoke it!

Dude, just hide it from yourself, when I have something like that that I want to save but am really tempted to use I just get really occupied then stuck it in a place where I wont look for like a month, example inside my computer case in a small metal container, that way when I next upgrade my computer which is once every 1-2 months then I find a cool supprise...you get really occupied with something first though so that when you stash it you wont remember it as good.

I can't loose weed, I've tried before ;)

I really just need to get un-lazy and get crack'n on either my calculus or physics... Funny how I'm lazier when I don't smoke :eek:

i'm givin' up @ the moment... i'v bin on an 8th a day 4 th last 7 months... since i got arrested (lost £2,000 and 10 ounces) iv had no money or weed so im trying to cum off it til after th court case so i am no longer dependant and also it will look good that i'v made an effort to 'sort myself out' in the eyez of the law... im 10 dayz clean 2day but its really hard... my hands r shakin like ozzy fuckin osbourne man lol... im smokin like 15 ciggies a day 2 take th edge off it... any1 got any tips 4 me????

Keep busy... During the summer when i'm working a striaght 8-6 6 days a week I only will go through a gram or so a week... But winter comes around and I'm unemployed or working part time, well, let the burning commence!

Im always surprised because when i hide my weed i have such a bad memory i forget all the time where i put it.So then a couple of weeks later ill have nothing to do and i clean my room,and muah!A nice fat sack!I love surprises!But i got caught recently after a trip to the doctor,(didnt know my parents knew him personally) so i told them id stop smoking but i just dont do it at home anymore.Which means ive cut down majorily cause my porch is the best place to smoke,such a lovely view.Party at my place when everyones done cleaning up and ready for a good time!

How about this: YOur a civil engineer working on implementing a new traffic light system for a city. In order to find the appropriet timing of the traffic lights your going to have to take the acceleration function of the flow of traffic (which would be a derivative of the function of the speed of traffic, which is in turn a derivative of the position of a given vehical) Therefore your working with a second derivative equation when finding the proper light timing.

There are many many more, but thats just the very first thing that came to mind. Calculus was actually developed in order to more accurately describe motion than algebra is capable of.

Really I could get into this hardcore, but I think I may go over your head real quick if you don't have any calc background...

BTW, I'm working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, so there is a very good chance I will be using calc in my career.

BTW, why the hell do you need an example? Calc is fun! ...sometimes...

Ok, but surely, once the calculation has been made (ie, in junction A) then it's just a case of reusing the same said equation in the next set of lights...especially as most road construction is copied from one site to another.

Judging by some of the traffic light sequences that I have encountered, some of these people need a refresher course in calculus! Sheesh!

And far be it from me to try to devalue the value of mathematics :D

As far as the traffic lights, yes if all distances are equal it would be only one calculation, but around here we have a lot of lights, and some very strange intersection configurations... Ever heard of a Michigan Left?

the 'cold turkey' thing is as much a psychological thing as it is a physical thing. Obviously, your body is cleaning itself up, this will cause a bit of unbalance in your chemical make-up - it'll pass quicker when you realise that most of your angst is caused by your mental grief at being denied your 'habit'. In other words, your situation causes you to quit your 'reward system', and that in itself is an affrontary to your liberty - therefore, mentally, you are beating yourself up because you know you have to do this, but don't want to.
There is nothing you can do about it, except bite the bullet and swallow this bitter pill.

How long away is your court case?
Maybe after that you can go back to how things were before - use it as a positive goal, and remind yourself of your power to overcome this obstacle. Show the world that you are strong in your defiance to let these idiots get the better of you!
