I got high for the first time ever yesterday, and I must say I didn't like it. I felt waaaaay too out of it. Does the intensity decrease or does the high feel more enjoyable after I do it more often? Did you enjoy your first time being high?
Any advice?
yes unfortunatley it does. i enjoyed my first time being high. id love to go back to that first time, it was incredible.
different strains have different effects as well from what you described your high as being id say you had some indica. sativa highs are more of a head high while indicas are more of a couch lock high.
How much did you smoke?
I enjoyed it my first time being high. Also I have had these unenjoyable times also but this just happens when i way over doo it by consuming way to much weed by eating. Anyways yes the more you smoke the intensity decreases and also the more u smoke the more mental tollerance u get. So yea i definately say try again but try it in a place were u feal safe and were u can have some good tunes and just smoke. Relax. SO yea just try to smoke a lil less next time and go by how u feal. may thc bless u :jointsmile:

do you have any idea what you were smoking? (there are three main grades... schwagg, mids, and dank.. although there are mutliple names for each)
but if you didn't like feeling out of it, well, it probably just isn't for you (unless you can get ahold of a nearly pure sativa strain) weed is generally a downer, which makes you feel down and out of it...
find a dealer who knows what he's doing and offers actual strains, find one that is sativa dominant... as indica = couch lock, very down, body intense high. sativa = a more uppity, head orientated, but energetic high...
I'm pretty sure we mixed a mid strain with a dank strain. What's weird is one of the other people I did it with was up and about, but I was couch locked. It wasn't so much being couch locked that I didn't enjoy... I don't really know what it was, it might have been paranoia.Quote:

mainly, the only thing strain is used for these days (other then dealers to get more off their score) is to know what to expect when you get high..
mixing a mid and a dank would have no effect, at all... other then if you say, mixed a dank (grown) indica with a mid (grown) sativa.. i'm pretty sure about this but i could always be wrong, but if you mixed the two in equal parts, the dank would have a stronger effect on you then the mid that was mixed in...Quote:

might just be the people youre smokin with. Try smoking with only your closest friends or even by yourself once and see how it feels. If its still not for you then thats cool but that first time is kind of an unprecedented experience. After a little while you stop thinking "holy shit i'm fucking high!11!" and start enjoying the feeling
With the exception of some crazy nights with huge amounts of high end widow shit or hash, I've never tripped as intensely as I did the first few times I smoked. Personally I kinda see that as unfortunate but I can see how the intensity of that first high can freak you out

From what you have posted I would guess you didn't enjoy it because you didn't feel totally comfortable and relaxed. Getting high for the first time could have been a daunting experience for you.
I would suggest you try to relax some and take it in your stride.
Also eat a proper meal and something sweet/sugary after, then get high I believe you would enjoy it alot more.
I loved the first time i got high, but you seem like you weren't in the proper environment. Find a calming place and only smoke as much as you want to, you'll have fun then.
You probably didnt enjoy it coz you didnt know what to expect. Try again, and make sure your somewhere relaxed and comfortable.
You dont have to smoke loads - take a hit, see how you feel, and just stop when your feeling you've had enough. Weed is harmless - so even if you dont like it at least you wont ever die from it.
Maybe it's just not for you.
Shit, my first high was one of the most scary experiences of my life. That night I took more hits than I ever have in one sitting after that, because I didn't know how much I should have smoked or what to expect. I gave it another try, and I have loved it ever since. By the way, following after my first time, up until my second time, I was pretty sure I would never do it again. I thought it wasn't for me, but I found out otherwise. You should try it at least 2-3 times before you decide it's not for you. Like others have said, you didn't know what to expect, and you didn't know how much you should have smoked to reach a pleasant, desired effect. As you get more experience, you can gauge this while smoking, and decide when it's best to quit. Even as someone who loves ganja to the point of passion, I can tell you that I can hardly smoke a whole bowl of high quality sinsemilla to myself. Yes, I'm a lightweight. But as a lightweight, I make sure to pack only what I plan to smoke, because I've learned to figure out how much I'll need to reach that desired effect. It's better to pack it/roll it too small than to pack it/roll it too big and think that you need to finish it all off, and then get too high for your level of experience.
Like that one guy said: Take a hit, wait 5 minutes or so to gauge it, and take another. Wait 5 minutes, and if you want to be higher, then keep doing that. Otherwise stop. This makes it difficult to go beyond what you feel is comfortable.
Once you get the general idea of how it feels, you'll be able to see if it's for you or not. Otherwise you can always switch to meth.
You might also want to take into account that not all strains will have that desired effect for you. For instance, if you were to smoke some strong Thai strain tomorrow, it could pretty well be assumed that you would be blown beyond desire. In other words, not all strains are good for beginners. Neville's Haze, for instance, is something that mostly only experienced smokers can appreciate.
Meh, there can't really be that much to it, try smoking again and see if you like it. If not, don't smoke anymore, if you do keep doing it.
The first time you get high is the best though so don't expect it to be as strong every time. (You will still be able to get extremely ripped but there's a special glow about your first time.)
yeah first time i smoked i didnt think it was that good...but after a few times youll love it :D
pretty much what everyone else said, try smoking by yourself or with a really close bud, try telling yourself that your about to get ripped, and you should def have a better experience, if not budsky is not for you :(
Give it two more tries, and see if you still dont like it.
Its possible that pot just isnt for you. I have a friend who doesnt smoke anymore because everytime she does, she equates it to tripping on other unmentionable drugs that give fun visuals.
She just completely zones out for two to three hours, you cant talk to her or anything, and then she snaps out of it. So she just doesnt smoke with us anymore, and just enjoys some booze while we smoke.
It's all about the quality of the herb, the method your smoking it, set and setting. Try to blaze and hang with friends in a controlled environment your first couple times, get good food, good folks, good buds and lay back n chill, if your friends are more experience then you, they'll show you a good time, best of luck :smokebong:
