I have one...it hurt really bad yesterday in my lower back, and the doctor did a cat scan on me and they saw a stone...today i feel fine though, no pain at all..anyone else ever have this experience? the doc did give me some morphine for the pain when it eventually comes, so that should be fun;)
awww man i feel bad for u...im 19 so ive never had the pleasure yet...but my father has had like 8 or 9 overall(he drinks alot, i think this has something to do with it),...and one year he had 3 in the same year...supposedly one of the most painful things that can happen to a man...my dads doctor told him that the pain from a kidney stone is one of the only pains a man can feel that is relative to giving birth...have fun, smoke up take them pills and do the best u can...and remember when ur passing the stone...its ok for men to cry, cuz its gonna make u want to
My dad had one many years back and they used this machine where it sent soundwaves into his kindeys that broke up the stone. Why don't I ever hear of doctors using that?:wtf:
they do alot of times, but if the stone is to big theres nothing they can do because when they use the soundwaves u still have to pass the broken up stones...so if the stone is relatively small they'll do it because u wont feel them passing...but if its large ull be able to feel everyone,so they figure its less painful to have to pass one larger stone that u can feel, rather than 10-15 smaller stones that u can still feel
I've had em - couldnt piss em out either, had to have an op. Infact, beleive it or not, i have them in a little plastic container somewhere. I thought i'd keep em.
They say it's as bad if not worse than childbirth - and beleive me, it IS.
I'll try and take a picture later. Need to find them first lol.
so far it isn't too painful...yesterday i was in a lot of pain in my side and back, but today i fell almost completely fine...weird huh?
I know. It is. You can be in excrutiating pain one day and then you'll be fine for a week - and then it'll hit you again at the worst time [during sex for me - i buckled up in pain]Quote:

If you're not in pain today, chances are it has moved on through, Jacked. That's what small kidney stones do. I've had three of them, all relatively small. They hurt when they're in the kidneys and ureters, and they sort of burn low down in the pelvis as they settle in the bladder. Then they move on through the urethra and out of the body and don't cause any more pain once they've passed. My docs always tell me the same thing. i don't think it has passed, because i still have a slight dull pain in my lower back. the doc said it was 2mm large, wouldn't i feel that sucker come out?
Well, if they're able to move, and a 2 mm stone is small enough to be mobile if it formed in the bigger tubes of the kidney. They normally do pass fairly quickly. The urinary system is designed to filter out and pass things through quickly. If you're watching carefully, you can sometimes see when the stone comes out, and normally you feel the irritation as the stone progresses because it irritates the bladder and urethra as it moves through those areas. It wouldn't be unusual at all to have pain in your lower back left over after you had the stone, but I guess if it got lodged in a tight tubule, it could still be stuck in your kidney. The longest-lasting one I ever had lasted about seven hours max from onset of initial pain to the stone's exit.
I get em 2 to 4 times a year usuly very mild. But on Supper bowl sunday, I got some that lasted for three months, that was the longest I have ever had. The doc gave me the choice of expensive surgery, generic morphine (and a cool metal and glass syringe), or expensive ultrasonic threapy which usualy helps, but sometimes it doesnt. I chose fuk you I got a sack and a stick to bite on at home. If you dont have health insurance having something which frequently comes back sucks. I used to get em alot like 5-6 times a year and they were very painfull (put you on your ass pain), but I changed my diet and now I get em less. Ibeprofane is what helps for swelling, I take about 800mg and some brownies and some bong bowls. However if the pain is intens I find smoking like a train (preferably hash or realy potent bud) and of coars walking or moving (dancing, ti chi, any Kata or Movement exercies) and lots of water help. I find when extrem pain hits after the adrenalin and endorphins kick in smoking aids in pain, and the effects of getting high are nolonger their. The effects change greatly than if you were to smoke in no pain.

I had them several times.My first one hit me back in 2001,I thought I was dying the pain was so intense.I ended up having it for about 2 weeks before the E.R. doc advised me to have surgery to break them up so I could pass them out quicker.I agreed and later that night I was in the hospital having surgery to blast them up.At first I thought it was a good idea.The doc said I'd just be there over night and in a couple days I'd be back to normal and at work.Was he ever wrong,I ended up off work another three weeks.I was still in pain and it took that long for the last pieces to pass.I can still feel the pain I see the blood that I passed those long three weeks.
I've had them since then but not as bad thank God!Doctor told me no pain was more intense and severe for a man to go through.Only a woman in birth can compare to that type of pain.I feel for anybody that has to go through this.My advice is drink plenty of water,take your meds,and rest as much as possible.Lemon juice is also good and even the doctor said a beer is always a good way to flush out the kidneys.So yeah to a certain extent I guess you could say a beer a day keeps the doctor away.Just dont try drinking a beer on top of the pain killers they prescribe for those stones.I did that one night.Popped the top and just took a few sips,shortly after I was knocked out big time.So yeah man just take your meds and keep pushing plenty of water,hopefully it's passed and the worst is over for ya.

Eh, the alcohol in beer is a vasoconstrictor, and although beer makes you pee, it also makes you dehydrated, and that doesn't sound very good to me...
Yeah diet is the big thing in prevention of kidney stones, prevention most all diseases for that matter. Countries around the world don't have kidney stones its an American high fat, high protein, over intake of calcium, low exercise thing.
Well he came to these boards to ask for advice so i am goin to speak for all of us when I say smoke it up. Nothing helps the pain better. Don't do painkillers. They will make you feel like shit and the only way you will end up getting off of them is with more weed. Weed solves so many problems yet it is still illegal
the weed i have now just intensifies things...i know it sounds weird, but i think my senses are actually heightened by my current stash..i smell things better, i taste things better, good things feel good, and bad things feel really bad! i do appreciate all the support i have received on here though...i'm still doin pretty good, nothing has passed yet.
Beer doesnt dehydrate you as much as people think. I thought the same, but was watching one of those myth programs and if you dehydrated drinking beer will hydrate you - the majority, well, the vast majority is water.Quote:

Jacked - If you can, i'd reccomend an indica - indicas dull the senses. Sounds like you've got a sativa dominant strain at the moment.

i don't know if i passed them or what, but i don't hurt anymore! i don't think i passed them because i was never in the extreme pain everyone has been describing.
You passed them, Jacked. Trust me on this. If they're still in there, you know it. They don't always cause everyone extreme, awful pain. Two of mine have simply been dull aching pain, and then it hurts for a day or two after they pass. But if you had one in there, you'd still feel it. Your doc can confirm this.
