Owen Wilson Suicide Attempt Reports

Rumors ran rampant this morning throughout Hollywood that OWEN WILSON may have attempted to take his own life early Sunday.

Reports claim the 'Wedding Crashers' star cut his wrist and took a large quantity of pills.

Owen's brother, actor LUKE WILSON, was seen leaving Beverly Hills' Cedars Sinai Hospital and getting into a charcoal BMW X5 with his brother ANDREW at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, sources confirmed to ET. A woman was seen driving the vehicle, which then left the medical center.

This sighting comes amid reports that Owen was hospitalized earlier in the day at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica and then transferred to Cedars Sinai.

The Santa Monica Police Dept. confirmed that at 12:10 p.m. Sunday officers responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department. They would not confirm the patient's identity, but authorities said, "The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated."

Owen's next movie is 'The Darjeeling Limited,' which also stars ADRIEN BRODY. The WES ANDERSON-directed film is scheduled to be screened at the Venice Film Festival on September 3. As of last week Owen was scheduled to attend.

I guess the moral of this story is: money doesn't always buy ya happiness. (But I bet sometimes it does, and if I win the lottery I'm totally willing to add some more data points to those already available and test that theory!)

maybe theres just wayyy too much pressure for him at the moment mixed in with the possibility that he might of done acid/shrooms when he was younger, finding out that nothing truly matters except matter itself... that was a quick guess...I know nothing of the guy, except that he talks about tripping on acid in zoolander..lol.

I personally thought wedding crashers was funny as hell, and behind enemy lines was another good flick from him;) Fix that nose Owen!!!

I'm not crazy about his acting either (or his brothers) but I'm sad to hear he tried to commit suicide.

Luke is HOT. I love his brother. I'd hit it.

dude, some people are foolish for believing this media crap...the only supporting evidence they have is his brothers left a hospital and the police got a medical assistance call, well so what, they get about 20 or so a day!

im here in LA and what i heard around town today was that kate hudson dumped his ass so he cut his wrists... he was pretty good in a few movies (still he really does needa fuckin fix his nose though) but his brother is better

he is probably the worst actor I've ever had the misfortune of giving my attention to. he has the most nasally yet piercing voice and I could not for once take him seriously when looking at him. I hope to never see another movie of his..anywayy

As a person that always sucks. If he truly is according to speculation in a position that would make him become suicidal then I definitely sympathize. that's never a good thing.

Money can buy you happiness, it's just that people think more money can buy more happiness, and we all know that is just crazy; still I would like to test this theory with you. Also, Owen Wilson isn't part of my generation, so he doesn't deserve my attention. However, now we can all prey on this man's weakness. Haha! Owen! You almost killed yourself! :wtf:

I love the guy. Made me sad to hear the news. He's so funny and comes from a very nice family. His dad used to be an executive at the Dallas company where I worked. They're an intelligent, artsy, interesting bunch, and Owen and his brothers are very tight and still very close to their parents, too. I hope he can get well. I worry more about his psyche than his nose. It pleases me that he doesn't have the classic, perfect Hollywood face. I confess to a very serious crush on his brother Luke and a slightly less ardent one on their older brother Andrew. Cute boys.

Hope hes alright. i like alot of his movies like shanghi KNights and starskey and hutch, and a couple more. But I cant understand how some one as sucessfull and rich would want to do that. Money these days can buy just about everything and he has lots so why is he trying to kill him self? Suicide is something I have never gotten, but it happens alot

The only thing I don't get is why he would want to commit suicide in the first place.
