Does anyone ever feel like they have the weight of the world on them, and sometimes life is just too much to bear?
I'm only in my late 20s, which is still pretty young. But when I start getting depressed and stressed out I think to myself "how am I going to deal with this for another 50-60+ years? Sometimes it seems overbearing.
Sorry if this is a little confusing.

Are you worrying about a ton of things at once and trying to deal with too much right now? Are you getting any exercise? Eating well? Getting plenty of sleep?
I find that when I'm feeling like I bear the weight of the world on my shoulders, it's most often when it's late at night and I'm tired and overwhelmed by the weight of my day and my responsibilities. But it can also happen when you're dealing with depression, too. Make sure you're not trying to worry about a bunch of things you can't control--and make sure you're resting enough, eating well, drinking plenty of non-alcoholic fluids, taking your vitamins, and getting some exercise. Try talking out some of those burdens with friends and letting as much of it go as you can. I find meditation and/or yoga tremendously helpful, too.
Sorry if this sounds like advice from a mom. That's what it is. I can't help myself.

The most important thing to remember is Don't sweat the petty shit! Seriously. Choose your battles. Pick things to worry about that directly affect your life. Worry about things you can actually change. Other wise,as you see, you will and can worry about everything. It's easier said than done, but after awhile small stuff just starts to roll off your back.
I've been there. I'm not the happiest mother fucker out there for nothing, you know! I choose to be happy.:thumbsup:

Man today (like so many days) I was feeling like there were 100lbs on my shoulders, such huge things to figure out and I don't know what to do, and the worst part is I have nobody I can talk to about it. not really....flyin' high here myself. i see some people just get really mad at such small things like everyday inconveniences, you will forget about them in the next hour so just don't think about it, even pain and injury is only temporary. In all spectrum of everything none of us really mean anything at all. it's devastating to most, but blissful to me.
What I do when im feeling low is just dedicate sometime to chilling, doesnt have to be too long. I like just sitting outside at night, looking up at the sky and just thinking about things that mean something to me. A lot of people rush around too much these days and dont get time they can just space out without thinking about something they have to do soon. Take it easy.
just go with the flow, take things as the come, look on the bright side of things, and smoke a fatty with some high quality bud. :S5: its all good dont let life get you down. its awsome you have 50-60+ years to go. think about all the good times to come! They'll only come if you are open to it though, so stay possitive and know great things are comming your way.

Pain is good for you. Just don't try to escape it .Embrace it, analyze it, use it as a motivational tool. When you feel like yourself again, you will have a broader perspective and you'll be infathomably grateful for the bitterness you experienced.
Maybe it's a male-in-late-20s thing. I kinda felt like that in my late 20s, then slowly got happier with life over time, until now, in my early-ish 40s, I'm really quite happy. I never expected to live this long, really, so that's probably part of it, looking back on my life and going, 'Oh yeah! If I made it this far, I can do anything!' ;)
Late 20s, early 30s, I was not very happy. Just felt dissatisfied with life, with what I'd accomplished (or failed to), how much money I had (that is, little or none), some regrets over quitting college, yada yada. Mostly external things, or things over which I had little control, or decisions I'd made in the past that I couldn't change. Finally, I'm able to let the past be the past, and focus a little better on the now, on treating people right, doing what good I can in the world, learning what I can about just about everything just for the joy of learning.
The late 20s kinda seem to suck. Not just for you and for me, but for lots of people. That half-decade is not one I'd care to repeat, for sure.
When i was in my teens i felt like this everyday, i had too much going on and i was too young to handle it. It really got me down, and i did the same as you, i kept thinking "how much longer can i go on like this for."Quote:

dude, dont even worry about it. I have felt like that many days, and the only thing that you can really do about it like some people have said here is take it day by day. Because honestly nothing can eliminate stress from yourself except yourself if that made any since at all haha. You can't sit and think ahh shit something sucks you have to think about it like this it could always be a lot worse and think about things that would or could make it a lot worse.
Life sucks sometimes. Love has caused more pain than I can even begin to describe. I guess that its part of the curse and the beauty of being human. A double edged sword if you will. The people that tell you "thats just the way it is" are WORTHLESS. IF I COULD SEND THEM TO BURN IN HELL I WOULD. I can remember telling my cousin that sometimes in life "you have to go through the motions" (with no emotion) this was the most heart breaking thing I have ever said to anyone ever. It made me choke up with tears. I feel ya Bro. I feel the same way sometimes.
I usually sleep when I get that way. Or I go for a walk and start up a conversation with a friendly-looking stranger.
I really know what you mean, when life makes me feel liek that I find a way to escape. A zen trip up to the wilderness with a best friend and some dank helps when I need to escape my burdens.
yer i know how you feel , im 26 i often find myself wondering what im gonna do. ive found exercise helps. a little heartbeat can get rid of that feeling
Hang in there sweetie- change is the nature of the universe, so this low feeling will eventually pass. Sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and get through the day. Go through your roster of things that make you feel good, and do some of them:thumbsup:
Btw, nobody knows how many years they have left. Enjoy each day as if it was your last one- that's what works for me lately!
