		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
If you've used the Volcano Vaporizer before this is for you. If you haven't don't bother voting in the poll. Anyhow, do you think that the Volcano Vaporizer is worth spending all of that money? They claim their system is 3-4 times more efficent then smoking.

I have used it many times and in my personal opinion if you have the money, I think you should go for the top of the line. The Volcano is definately a great vaporizer. The only other vaporizers I've used are lightbulb vapes. If you think that they aren't worth it then please say why. Also, if you have used other vaporizers, post what vaporizers you would recommend for a smaller budget.

How long does it take for the volcano bag to fill up? I'd definitely like to buy one but can't afford it right now, is the smoke pretty smooth compared to a water and ice filled bong? I know the smoke is certainly cleaner, but just wondering how it hits. I hope someday I can have my own review :D

There is no smoke. The normal bag fills up pretty quick, probally about 30 seconds. I've filled up a hefty garbage bag before and that took pretty long.

So it is completely clear just like regular air? Do you even notice it when you inhale it or is it just like inhaling regular air?

		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
I think it's worth the money. Here is some info that I wish was printed on the box ...

One bowl is about supposed to be 1/8"-1/4" or something like that. I kinda eye it, then put some mint leaf on top. So it isn't much herb, like the amount used in a small joint.

The bag takes 30 seconds to fill and is noisy to operate. The bags make noise when your taking hits from it.

Here is the video of it being filled.

I can get 8 full bags out of 1 bowl. That is enough for 3 people for an entire evening or enough for me for 2-3 days. The first and second bags are smokey. People post that it isn't smokey, but I don't know what they are talking about. On the third and future bags, it's almost clear. I start the temp dial on 3 and work up to 7 during the course of the 8 bags. I always wondered if I could use the leftover herb in something, so I'm going to try it in brownies.

With the volcano, I can vap daily and an ounce will last me two months. My girl lets me smoke this inside, had to go outside for everything else. I sometimes spray some room refresher though.

I hope this makes sense, I've re-read it a zillon times

I always save the leftover 'grease' use it to make budder.

-

		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
Where is there grease leftover? In the bag I see a layer of film forming near the bottom attachment. I've been saving the used herb too, might try it in brownies or something.

		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
The grease is the leftover in the vaporizer part where you put your product. Save that. The nice brown ring you see around the end of the vape bag and what starts to clog the valves is pure hash!:vap_rasta:

-

		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
I refer to the 'grease' as to what is left over after you vape it a couple of times. Save it and it too whatever shake you have left over and you can can make some serious budder out of it. I was amazed at the potency when I last did it.

When you need to change your bag, cut off the part that is brown and sticky. Save that.
Take the bag and cook a chicken in it. It is oven safe. Really wonderful flavor. Take the valve apart and wash it in good Vodka, with the end piece from the bag The alcohol will render out all the good stuff. Make yourself a nice Martini with the Vodka while the Chicken happily cooks away in the vape bag. Cheers Dr. Bloor

Nice ideas, thanks. How often do you replace your bag? I've had about 50 bags an am still on the original one. That screen/filter masher thing that goes in the bowl, that got sticky so I put that in rubbing alcohol for a day to clean it. Ugh I guess I should read the instructions.

		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
I change a bag oh maybe every 6 months I suppose. You only need to when it develops a leak in the bag itself or around the seal. Alcohol works fine to clean the valve. Rubbing alcohol has just been denatured so it it not something you want to make a nice martini out of. Alcohol is a solvent for THC so it works as a good cleaning agent. Rinse it with water and away you go. Happy vaping!

If you want to get rid of the noisy crinkly sound the bag makes, change it out for a shake and bake type oven bag. Much more quiet

There is a difference to regular air. Its warmer for one thing. There is a flavor to it also. Hard to describe if you have only smoked. It is much more tasty and herbal and spicy.

Yes, there is definitely a noticable taste and smell to it. Sorry for the short responses I'm on vaca in Hawaii, aloha.

I have used it multiple times and I have loved it. If you have your heart set on a vaporizer it is definately worth spending the extra cash; however, if you're not set on a vaporizer then you could get a very nice phx for even less.

how did you make the butter? and how much 'grease' did you have to use per butter? Just tried my new volcano today and I love it. I would like to try and make some butter as well....

I've used a several vapes, so here I go:

efficieny-wise all vapes are about the same

 Volcano
Pro: You can get a whole party stoned in a matter of minutes and really quick to set up
Cons: - It's harsh, waay more harsh than other vapes
 - Smoking can be too short, so you don't socialize as much
 - expensive

 my favorite vape:
 Aromed
 Pros:
 - Smoothest ever, it lets you taste the aroma of the weed with no harshness at all
 - You pass the hose around, like a hookah
 - costs $370, way cheaper than the volcano
 - healthiest vape in the world (beats the volcano by a lot)
 Con:
 - Using it is slower than the volcano. It takes about 4-5 minutes to kill a bowl. But that bowl will get you destroyed.

I have a question for people that have not only used a vape, but ordered one online. Which site did you buy the volcano at, and what packaging did it arrive in? Is there a specific site that's really good for ordering online?

This guy came up with what he calls a home made 'Shalom (שָׁלוֹם) Salaam (سلام ) Peace' Rockit Vaporizer, http://www.youtube.com/user/BestHome.../1/qUG776Ym7YI i thought it was a joke when he told my friends the name of this rocket and wanted opinions, as for me, i tried the Volcano in Amsterdam the first time 3 years ago, i personally think the classic is faster then the digital one i also tried for the first time 3 days ago, was great but slower, the price is still way toooooo high.

I would try this home made remedy before dishing out more then the price of a simply Bong, and believe me i know the Volcano, 4 friends of mine all have there own Volcano and kits., i am gonna try to attach a volcano bag to the Rockit, i already use a tube by connecting it to the bottle cap by puncturing a hole with a knife and it works great, in fact so far faster and better then a Volcano to me, you try it and see if its worth even buying a vaporizer afterwards.

I don't understand that question at all. The herbalAire's retail price is $289 less than the Volcano Classic, and can be found, with a little shopping around, for less than retail ($250). The herbalAire will fill a bag with vapor as well as the 'cano, just slower. And it's easier and cheaper to have additional bags ready to go. I've used a herbalAire for several years and have been very happy with it.

If I were to win a Volcano in some kind of contest, I'd sell it, unopened. It's a great vaporizer, but very overpriced IMO. It has no special technology that gives you more or better vapor vs. other models.

Interesting that you have all the right graphics there in the vape name. Yeah a vape made with aluminum foil sounds great. :wtf:

Do you realize how many good seeds I could buy with five hundred dollars?

		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
I definitely recommend the volcano. The other vaporizors I have seen were hard to keep adjusted and eventually you just end up making smoke like a regular pipe. Also with the cheap vaps you have to suck just right. With the volcano you just suck the volcano air out of the balloon. The biggest drawback is that you really can't get the taste of good weed. The first bag will have some of the good weed flavor but the later bags from the same bowl will not have quite the same good taste. Sort of like smoking all the green top on a regular pipe. The next hit after the green top is gone does not taste as good. Same holds true for the volcano.

Everyone should be using a vapo for health reasons though. You get way less crap in a vap hit than you get in a joint or pipe.

The first time I smoked a vap was at work in one of the test labs. This crazy guy from holland had it set up and was giving the stoners hits at work. I took a hit and it totally smelled like weed. I was so paranoid. I never did that again.
 :smokin:

Considering the thousands of users who use other vapes other than bag vapes and who NEVER go into combustion and make smoke like a regular pipe, I find your general statement above to be totally false.

		Volcano Vaporizer: Worth it?
Bag vapes, whip vapes, direct draw vapes, and bong vapes all have their unique advantages and disadvantages. One is not better than the other. Just different.

For one who wants a vape that is totally stealth and makes absolutely no noise, you would NOT want a Volcano.
For one who want to use a vape when their out and about, you can't do that with a Volcano.
For those that want super rich, thick vapor hits without having to crank the temp all the way up or load up a bunch of weed in the vape, bag vapes are not the best choice.
If efficiency is at the top of your priority list, again, bag vapes are not the best choice.

While bag vapes are easier to use and takes out all of the possible user error out of the equation, which makes it a superior party vape, by no means is it the best. No vape is.

the volcano is the shit I loved it... best vapor i ever smoked I defiantly would recommend if you have the money to throw around.

only other cheaper option I like is the heat gun method. works good also

the one to stay away from is the cheap wooden ones at the smokeshops for like 100 buck I got ten mins of use out of mine the a circuit fried and it no longer worked I raised hell at the smoke shop and told him it never worked but he keep saying I would have to take it up with the manufacture so what a pain in the ass that one is
