Dick Cheney Admits In 1994 That Iraq Invasion Would Be A Quagmire

The video is a huge ball buster for the people who supported the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

The video's music was so annoying though. All the singing was just as loud as cheney's talking, it's like trying to listen to two people talk at once. I didn't get all of it because of such, but the gist was there. Good stuff:thumbsup:

Why the hell was the music there? Who is stupid enough to put music in their video which totally goes over what is being said? What a stupid video maker.

In the north you've got the Kurds, and if the Kurds spin loose and join with the Kurds in Turkey, then you threaten the territorial integrity of Turkey.

It's a quagmire if you go that far and try to take over Iraq.

The other thing was casualties. Everyone was impressed with the fact we were able to do our job with as few casualties as we had. But for the 146 Americans killed in action, and for their families -- it wasn't a cheap war. And the question for the president, in terms of whether or not we went on to Baghdad, took additional casualties in an effort to get Saddam Hussein, was how many additional dead Americans is Saddam worth?

Our judgment was, not very many, and I think we got it right

The man just lied right from his own mouth. He cannot be trusted. Suddenly in 2003, he has a totally different opinion about Iraq?

Well, at least what he said about the failure of a US occupation has come true so he did tell us the truth partially. And the US pretty much did all the fighting themselves. The Brits didn't really do much anyway, so Cheney was right by saying that we would have been all alone. He was also right on how the Arab countries won't be involved.

Either Cheney is just a real evil motherfucker, or he has severe mood swings.

If that is the case, he probably wipes his ass with one brand of toilet paper one week, and a different brand the next.

There is a difference between a change of opinion for the greater good, or just because you were wrong, and ignoring facts for personal profit.
