Agent Orange
Orange Velvet X JC x SQ (jtr)
This is the first cross that Jill and I have worked on together crossing our two lines by using our now selected JTR male to add some punch and Lemon to this overly orange strain. It has long been on the list of projects to combine JC and an orange strain, it has actually been done but it a different way. Juan Moore actually selfed the JC mom and pollinated a small bud of Cali O. This experiment produced an amazing smelling strain he called 7-up, although I have never had the chance to try it I fell in love with the idea. We however took no short cuts and actually out crossed the female JC in order to produce a male breeding pool.
Crossing of two lines expect variation leaning to both sides with the desired female having the most JC attributes.
Agent Orange is a very good producer with extremely resinous large dense buds. The smell is amazing with hints of Oranges, Lemons and the smell of a Whiskey Sour cocktail. The strain contains pigments that have the ability to turn Maroon, purple with cool nights. The buzz is up and motivating and make smile.
1) Phenotypes- Two main variations one short and thick and one taller and more resinous.
2) Height- Very tall block head colas
3) Yield- Very Heavy but all in last weeks
4) Indoor/Outdoor
5) Best Way to Grow- Top and bud early
6) Harvest Window-55-65 days
7) Sativa/ Indica 50/50
8) Hybrid- Local Orange Skunk x Jacks Cleaner X Space Queen
9)High type- Strong and tasty leaves a Orange after taste and an almost trippy high.
10) Taste like a cross between Oranges and sour mix
11) My largest yields this run came from this strain

Astroboy is a great combination of similar genetics. Combining Apollo-13 with Ortega X Cindy99 we ended up with a very stable Cherry Apollo. The fruity taste is combined with better than average yields for a Grimm based hybrid. Maturing rapidly and packing a great combo Sativa/ Indi buzz she comes on strong at first then levels out into nice visuals and happy thoughts.
A-13 X Ortega X Cindy99
Harvest Window 50 days
Sativa/ Indica 80/20
This is no longer available except in the Fiesta mix but we used the best female we found in many years to create a new strain we just released you will hear more about later.
I see this strain alot in the clubs and the watermelon pheno is one of the most sought after breeding moms around now.

Big Foot
BCHP X Grimm male
Dank Dairy Certified
Legendary for HUGE yields this BC local favorite was collected by badboy and known for big colas and a somewhat flat taste,so we have worked the new Sour fruit smelling Grimm male into her Massive genetics. I have seen soccer ball sized buds off the mother plant and was extremely excited when Badboy secured the clone from friends. This make up is from the largest female I have ever seen in DWC. It will also grow well with another slightly smaller female named Bush hash used in the next cross.
From Dairy Dank test labs:
Easy to grow, loves high nutrient levels, this plant was almost yellow while being fed 1.2 EC and needed 1.7EC to be happy, also demands nitrogen supplement during early bloom to stay green long enough to pack on the weight.
Smells really really sweet, these above were vegged for 4 weeks under 500w CFL vegged in 6.5L profit coir and also bloomed in the same pot, i imagine these would have been larger if i had given them more root space and auto fed them rather than hand watered, but still they have buds that measure roughly 12".
Had no pest problems with these at all, likes to dry out in between watering and slows down on feeding considerably at week 6 and starts pumping out lots of resin.
1) Phenotypes ??Large heavy super resinous females
2) Height- Tall with towering colas
3) Yield-Our largest strain when done in commercial applications
4) Indoor/Outdoor/Greenhouse
5) Best way to grow-toped large bushes do very well.
6) Harvest Window-8 weeks
7) Sativa/Indica 30/70
8) Hybrid-Clone only large producing plant with heavy resins.
9) High type- Nice warm Indica buzz great for relaxing
10) Smells
11) Bigfoot has proven in the test lab to be everything we hoped for and more. The addition of Dank from the Brothers Grimm male has produced a resinous beast!

Bubba Gum
Known in the great white north as a heavy Indica with good yields the mother is an Older Skunk Hybrid that has traveled around Canada as a clone only strain. It is rumored to be the mother of Tuity Fruity, It was very hard to aquire the f1 cutting so we have included it in the new line. Everyone has a TGA favorite and variety is the spice of life. This strain really reminds me of a Hawaiian Indica I grew out once from a good friend in Wyoming. Also known to produce heavy munchies.Buds are so dence Badboy said they would dent sheetrock when grown with CO2.Looking for something that Really taste like Bubblegum and not lawn Grass?
Sticky Lungs recently finished it from seed and confirmed its amazing flavor and potential.
Medium to heavy yielding spicy stinky Indica
Indica Hybrid

Cherry Goodness with a short wait.Combining the sweet mango flavor of Killer Queen with a New Cherry tang from the Ortega x C-99 male. Short and fast this strain is now in my top 5 favorite smokes. The cross was named after a good friend that passed away in Amsterdam but among it??s fans it has become Killer Taco. Taken as early as 45 days it will get larger if you can wait. Look for extremly high female to male ratios and high percentage germination rates. If you like fast fruity strains this girl is right up your alley! In order to bring new strains into this world I had to give this girl up and she is simply the best tasting bud I have ever smoked. Be happy you get a chance to taste her and her sisters we have established 2 very distict phenotypes one Cherry and one Fruity. Featured in Hightimes October Issue.
If I didn't post the story here know one would understand :)
Danny was my best friend who died in Amsterdam so I named this strain after him :)
I want to tell you the story of the strain Dannyboy and how it got it??s unusual strain name. Before I tell you about the strain let me tell you about the man. Growers by the nature of the game are a secluded lot. The Internet is a great way to still have some form of contact with other humans while not exposing your-self to the security risk of having people know where you live or even what you do. Running a grow is somewhat of a ??ball and chain as you have chores to be done at least every 3 days and leaving a large indoor grow can always be a security risk so a grower can become secluded without this outlet.
I met a guy in 1993 that worked in the nighttime and seemed to always be online in the early mornings a lot as he ran a catering company that supplied coffee and donuts to job sites. Yes Blunt ran roach Coaches and they made great chili dogs! Over the years we became great friends meeting for the first time at the Jungle Juice Café in Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. I found out his name was Danny and from that day on we became brothers. I talked he listened and we saw the sites together, always returning to the net and telling all our friends about the cool shit we saw.
Danny always had my back and without getting to detailed he helped me get out of jail many times on his own dime. In 2001 I was working in Amsterdam for a seed distributor and Danny came to the cup for his second time in 2001 and on the second day passed away in his sleep at 38. Seems he had some health and job related stress issues he kept to himself. He was acting strange the night before he passed, winded, and I asked if he was ok, he replied he just needed to lie down and that??s the last time I spoke to him. Over 200 stoners from the Internet attended his funeral. His parents didn??t know a man could have so many friends. It seems everyone liked the guy.
The only true way I could think of to honor this man was to name my first strain after him. He was a big fan of fruity tasty strains and loved the Killer Queen harvested at day 55. Once I found the line I wanted to work with we selected a few males of Ortega X C99 and did some out crossing. The best female was named Taco by stoner friends who made a joke about Ortega being a food company. The male was selected from only 2 boys but heritage is everything in breeding and either would have been a great father. The final product is a hybrid Danny would have loved.
Tasting like Cherry Jolly Rancher Candy and just covered in thick large trichomes this plant is equally good as a head stash or a Bubble plant. It is so frosty I am sure the ratio when making bubble is very high. The dry kief from it is fruity and smooth and just lovely sprinkled on any bud. This weed smells and taste so much like cherries I was surprised at its finished color. Was just destiny and I am sure Blunt was helping from above...
From seed the plant stays very short with wide sharp leaf edges and a dark green color. Only topped once the females were just a short fat bush and as they matured very little stretch was present. Resin showed as early as 21 days and buy 30 days they reeked like Cherry gum drops. Later as the plant reached maturity it took on a solid white frost with a sour cherry smell, the first hit blew me away it was So tasty I was shocked. Once the buds dried and cured for 30 days I would just sit and smell the buds I almost got a Brandy snifter to do so. From clone the only difference in the growth was a faster finish
At First she was just a favorite of Jill and I and then Sunycheba got a cut and then Badboy was given the duplication project and while at it grew out several females all cherry and fruity and potent. The strain finishes very fast which is nice if you run a bit short close to harvest our phenotype was at least 10 days faster than any other strain in the garden. Her down side is she needs extra vegetive time to compete and yield heavy in soil she starts off slow and doesn??t hit her stride in the vegetive room till she??s over 30? tall. This strain has been around so much it has gained quite a following and recently a good friend Irishfatboy smoked some with Wille Nelson. My favorite story from his travels with Dannyboy in his stash is a buddy that was riding with him and when they stopped to break they had some DB bubble hash his friend says ?? The colors are getting to me I need to lie down. Irishfatboy sent me a great picture of his buddy passed out on a beach with a huge smile on his face.
Another grower Ganjaden grew out Danny in large tubs full of soil and his results were amazing with his first harvest from a single pack of seeds coming in at over 26 ounces from 6 females. The more people grew her out the more everyone liked her.
I once did a thread on Overgrow detailing the 2001 Cannabis Cup and I mentioned Danny and his story and basically we sold out of the strain over night. We also have a Dannyboy BX or backcross that is a bit larger and more Killer Queen Dominant and that sold out as well. There are a few packs around but its not an easy strain to acquire in seed form anymore. The good news is a great cutting is pretty easy to find as more DB has been grown out than any TGA gear!
We have just released in limited numbers a Dannyboy X Spacequeen hybrid I named Danielle, which will be a limited offering and is available now at Cannaseur.com. We are making Dannyboy 2 but the Taco male was lost and the new cross will not be released until I am satisfied its better than the original. Dannyboy was also used in Sunychebas cross Black Cherry, the Black Russian father gave this hybrid a vivid magenta coloring in some phenotypes there aren??t many left in stock.
Even though not many at Hightimes knew of him or about his death, Danny was truly an American Stoner working his ass off running a business and relaxing with a nice bowl after work. Unfortunately due to the drug war it was usually brick weed, he never complained but he sure smiled when I sent him a care pack. He was the coolest dude I ever met and loosing him was like loosing my brother. He is truly the founding member of TGA and I miss him everyday.

Dannyboy X Space Queen
This strain was created in limited addition for those that missed the first round of Dannyboy. Her flavor is enhanced cherry with long slim colas that reach deep into the canopy. Reminding me more of the Cherry Danny I found that was slightly smaller and more dank than the one we bred with we only made about 40 packs of these so once there gone she will just become another TGA legend?
1. Phenotypes -Moderately stable with light Dannyboy traits. Hints of fruit-vary from sweet to rotten fruit taste.
2. Height-Medium stretch/ Colas swell late
3. Yield-Medium / Moderate trim work
4. Indoor/ Outdoor
5. Best way to grow- Topped and placed in bud early due to stretch.
6. Harvest Window_8-10
7. Sativa/ Indica 80/20
8. Hybrid-Dannyboy x Space Queen
9. High type-Clean, Intense, trippy, visual, pain relief,
10. Known Phenotypes: Most of my pheno's were similar, the difference was how intense the Dannyboy traits came out. In
other words how, fruity and dank the different plants smelled.

Grimm Reaper
Jacks Cleaner X Grimm male
In our reserch we have discovered that the lemon tartness of JC combines well with the
fruity mango taste of Brothers Grim work. We have now tested all of the new Grimm crosses and the results are amazing.Grimm Reaper packs on large hard buds covered in ultra white trichomes. Maturing in 8 weeks the combo of sour and sweet has created quite and uproar and the hardest decision is the best choice Grimm Reaper or JC2. The strain is very fast germs easy and is fast out of the soil. The high is energizing but the whole time your smoking you can't get over the amazing flavor. Unlike some of our super potent smaller med strains Grimm Reaper is a hard working seriously potent producer.
1) Phenotypes -Very Potent with slight variation leaning toward JC or Cindy
2) Height- Tall with classic tree shape
3) Yield-Test plants pulled over 5 ounces in soil
4) Indoor/Outdoor/Greenhouse
5) Best way to grow-Untooped large bushes do very well.
6) Harvest Window-8 weeks
7) Sativa/Indica 70/30
8) Hybrid- Jacks Cleaner X Original Brothers Grimm Male
9) High type- Up Elevated mode, some white noise, comes on fast and hard and stays strong.
10) Smells Sour lemons and sweet candy reminds me of a lemon head
11) Incredible cross that is over looked do to JTR and JC2 much sweeter and smoother smoke with same potency.

Hash Queen
Hash Plant X Space Queen
One of my all time favorite cash croppers combined with the best male I have ever worked with. Cuddlefish HP is pretty much an Icon strain indoors in the US thick short and dense with CO2 the buds get insanely heavy. I always gave HP a rating of 8 but with the addition of Space Queen this new limited addition cross is more a collector??s strain now.
1.Phenotypes -Moderately stable with light Space Queen traits. Sweet as sugar to the smell, though there may be a few phenos with a light, rotten, fruity type smell from the space queen influences.
2.Height-Medium stretch/ Colas swell late
3.Yield-Medium / Moderate trim work
4.Indoor/ Outdoor
5.Best way to grow- Topped and placed in bud early due to stretch.
6.Harvest Window_8-10
7.Sativa/ Indica 30/70
8.Hybrid- Hash Plant ( Sensi 1982) x Space Queen ( BCGA)
9.High type-Clean, clean, Intense, trippy, visual, spacey, pain relief,

Jillybean
( Orange Velvet X Space Queen)
Jill was lucky enough to be gifted this amazing Orange Skunk and they day we smoked the finished bud we knew we had to outcross it with our Space Queen male. You don??t really have to be a master breeder to figure out Orange and Pineapple Mango will be a good combination. The resulting outcross is remarkably stable and is close to a 50/50 representation of the parents. Topped only once in grows into a nice short bush with lots of side branching and multi heads. Flavors range from Orange, Tang, Candy, Mango, and Apple. The cross works really well in SOG or SCROG.. Very large stems and huge top colas make this an easy strain to grow in any medium.
We had 5 females in our bud room and 4 could be clones there so similar same height same growth speed and all have that Dank Orange smell. Very good mood elevator and general euphoria are experienced while high on this cross. Lime green with Vibrant Orange Hairs with temperature drops it can turn a deep burgundy to maroon.
1. Phenotypes -Very stable Orange-Mango 50/50 Phenotypes
2. Height-Short and Stocky
3. Yield-Very Heavy/ Easy Trim
4. Indoor/ Outdoor
5. Best way to grow-Single topping forms multi heads
6. Harvest Window-8 weeks
7. Sativa/Indica 30/70
8. Hybrid-Unknown Orange Skunk X Romulan X Cindy99BCGA
9. High type-Happy, mood enhancing, humorous, energetic
10. Smells like orange skunk or tang/ Taste so much like Dreamcicles you will not believe it!
11. Extremely up beat and happy buzz great for depression and bad days.

TGA Genetic Guide
This is the story of Jack the Ripper and it is a fine example of what can happen along the way during a breeding project. I have always wanted to have Jacks Cleaner in seed form. I have been prompted to Self her using STS but I don??t believe in that type of breeding I feel a male plays a vital role in breeding projects. About 6 years ago I used a Blueberry to outcross the Jacks Cleaner to. Bushy Old Grower used some of these seeds to create the famous lifesaver. Two years ago I used the Jacks Cleaner x Blueberry to back cross the Jacks Cleaner to and created Jacks Cleaner back cross. Lost yet? I??ll try and untangle this mess as we continue on this journey.
Even though the JC bx kicks ass, has won awards and is used in breeding projects it was not what I was looking for. Also about that time I ran Vic??s Space Queen and found it to be some of the best weed I ever smoked. We also found an amazing Space Queen male that Jill used to create Jillybean and we used to create Spacejill. It was not an easy decision but we decided after working with Space Dude he was a much better choice for a parent to outcross Jacks Cleaner to and re started completely over passing on the Jacks Cleaner back cross and Jacks Cleaner Blueberry to other members of TGA.
We used our standard breeding methods and completed the project on schedule and promptly started a test run of these new seeds. One weird trait of this new hybrid is twin seedlings. Many growers have reported duel sprouts form one seed but it??s normal for one not to survive when this occurs. All the seeds were started using rapid rooters with no pre soaking. I like to be as rough as possible and I never pamper test runs, once seedlings came up and developed nice roots I transplanted them into 1 gallon containers and placed under a 400 watt Metal halide light. Once the plants matured the males were taken to a separate area and the best possible females were tagged and the rest tossed. We ended up with 3 females we felt met or selection criteria. The plants were topped and trained and vegged for about 45 days and reached a size of 24? with multiple growing heads.
Once in bud the plants quickly started swelling with buds and by day 25 copious amounts of resin had become visible. Once in bud things got interesting when we had visible resin at just 2 weeks of budding and by week 3 we had a nice build up of trichomes and the first hints of the Lemon smell I was looking for.
One of the female plants stretched so much I had to bend her severely to keep her close to equal to the rest of the crop. Even the lower buds drip with resin and I am happy to report the mango lemon smell I was looking for I nailed it dead center. Normally I top all plants in our garden but with test plants it takes up less room if I leave them un topped and as I usually am moving them about a lot taking pictures and such it just makes them more manageable.
You can see in the picture the plants developed nicely grown in only my own super soil and in a 5 gallon pot fed only water the entire run to test her natural ability to produce without being pushed you can see the results speak for themselves.
Maturing much faster than JC was another hopeful goal and at 50 days I??d say we nailed that trait as well. All three females are alike with the exception of the height of the one female. To avoid numerical confusion we gave each female a name. Lemango became the tall one that looked more Space Queen dominant. Soylent Green was apparently the largest of the three as far as cola size and the plant most resembling Jacks Cleaner with her predictable resin leaf curl was given the name Pink lemonade. This is the plant that became the star during multiple sessions in front of my lens.
The trichome production is off the chart and she has the classic raised head on a tall stalk that??s so classic of JC. I feel this represents the total sum of what I??ve learned and collected doing this my entire adult life. To be able to pass on traits I have seen attributed to the mother plant and then to actually create a Phenotype with the same qualities and maybe even some improvements is truly humbling. The plant has Pink resin ok? I mean would you be happy or what? Now I have a gene pool to work with and continue the Cubing of the original Jacks Cleaner f1 to produce a more stable line but variety is the spice of life among tokers and each of the females we found is a legendary keeper in itself. I enjoy each plants smoke equally but there are subtle differences that make it nice to choose from according to my needs.
We will be entering this strain in the 2006 Cannabis Cup and if it??s a fair event I have no doubt this girl will place very high on the score cards.
I think the best news about this strain is there available now. We have a lot of cool things from tasty to pretty to sativas to crazy combos of berry and lemon but I??m taking this to the pot snobs party. Lets have a look at the end results, Lemango was more Space Queen dominant and has a nice citrus and Fruit taste as her name implies. Soylent Green did indeed yield the most coming in at just over 2 ounces of cured dried bud. She has a nice Lemon Berry taste that is my favorite in a joint having a much smoother draw than the parent JC. Finally Pink Lemonade is the most potent and most like JC. Incredible expansion as all the resin melts away on the bud and your lungs simply explode and your head follows shortly after, it only takes 3 bong hits to make me smile like a Cheshire cat.
Jack the Ripper
Jacks Cleaner P1 X Space Queen
Dank Dairy Certified
As good as JC bx was, I learned a lot in 6 years breeding and growing almost full time and I was confident I could find a better male using patterns to find the recessive drug traits. So instead of continuing a cube I wasn??t 100% satisfied with the outcross I decided to start again using two different lines to establish the best. JTR is the first outcross to be completed using a Spacequeen male; the second will be a Cindy99 outcross. The goal here is to establish the best possible outcross to cube back to JCf1. The cool part is the outcrosses are sometimes better than the parent strains, I feel this is the case with JTR. The Lemon tart of JC has combined with the candy mango flavor of the Spacequeen to create a resinous marvel. Maintaining JC??s heavy structure and potency the female dominated this cross with the exception of adding some sweet mango flavor and smoothing out JC??s harsh toke. Many people who have smoked the JC dom pheno and JC in the same sitting claim the JTR is better.
1. Phenotypes -Moderately stable with heavy Jacks Cleaner traits.
2. Height-Look for the Short Pheno/ Colas swell late
3. Yield-Medium-Heavy / Moderate trim work
4. Indoor/ Outdoor
5. Best way to grow- Untopped and vegged to a full bush.
6. Harvest Window_8-10 weeks
7. Sativa/ Indica 80/20
8. Hybrid-Pluton X Purple Haze X Lambsbread X NL X Jack Herer X Romulan X Cindy99BCGA
9. High type-Intense, trippy, visual, phase shifting, increased heart rate, heavy crash increased appetite, pain relief, paranoia
10. Lemon mango pine hash/ Taste like lemon hash

Jacks Cleaner II
JC f1 X JC X SQ(jtr)
If you follow my work at all you know JC is my favorite breeding mom. I can use her to test males or increase the potency of any strain. I truly feel it??s the most dominant strain I have ever worked with. She is also the most potent plant I have ever worked with, with no ceiling when it comes to high. We have used back crossing with the f1 to recreate her in seed form. Test grows and severe stress shows the new cross to be stable and extremely potent, a soaring 8-9 week Sativa Haze Also used for breeding work as males are JC dominant.
1.Phenotypes -Moderately stable with light Jack the Ripper traits. Lemony sweet to the smell, almost as lemony as the JC, though there may be a few phenotypes with a lighter, lemon smell, probably from the JTR influences.C2:
2.Height-Medium to heavy stretch/ Colas swell late
3.Yield-Medium / Moderate trim work
4.Indoor/ Outdoor
5.Best way to grow- Topped and placed in bud early due to stretch.
6.Harvest Window_8-10
7.Sativa/ Indica 70/30
8.Hybrid- Pluton X Purple Haze X Lambsbread X NL X Jack Herer X JTR Male
9.High type- Intense, trippy, visual, spacey, pain relief
10.Makes very usual bubble tasting and smelling like lemons

This remarkable find comes to us courtesy of MzJill. She was gifted an amazing Orange skunk that to me resembled AE??s California Orange but with larger buds and a thicker stalk. It will turn a Vibrant Maroon when exposed to cooler night temps almost turning black just before harvest. She has a light happy buzz that makes me laugh and smile. Her taste is what is the most amazing here is what one grower said after sampling some OV.
??Orange Velvet reminds me of a warm summer day eating dreamcicles underneath the trees in the backyard. This is one of the most pleasant tastes I have ever experienced; like vanilla ice cream coated in orange sherbet. Honestly if you are looking for a smoke that will please all of your senses this is the one for you. It is a nice high, very mellow, so you can get things done if you need to, and tastes like you bit off a piece of the sunset and it melted in your mouth.
The Jillybean used in this bx is a direct offspring and the cool part about this cross is Jillybean may be better than the mother plant so this just stabilizes the phenotype and locks down the Orange in a larger percentage.

Black Domina X Grimm male
I have long loved Sensi??s Original Description of Domina.
??This full blooded Indica with large bracts will soon have you on your knees and begging for more. This harsh overpowering lady simply gushes sticky resin to which most men seem to have a fatal attraction. A word of warning: this powerful compact Indica has had a devastating effect on many a man, leaving them apparently beaten and whipped with a strange smile on their faces.?
I always figured it was a smallish plant due to there antiquated picture but Badboy found a cutting that produces and absolute monster of a female and just coated in resin and dank as it gets. A very spicy exotic smoke, very much like a good imported hash. This is a strain I have wanted to add for awhile and with the introduction of new genetics from the famed Grimm Brothers will add that fruity smell we are now known for.
Indica Hybrid with fast finish below 8 weeks.

Very cool, very good info, and as always, the pics are a delight.
So I'm also really interested in the origins of the Ortega cut- that's one of the foundation lines that you have been working with, correct?
Someone who I've been talking to has mentioned that Ortega and her descendants have anti-inflammatory properties- I'd like to know where they came from (ancestors) and how they have been passed along- what strains still carry that effect.
And do you know anything about an old school line called Afghani Dream?

Pandora??s Box
JTR X Space Queen P1
Many years ago the most powerful magic recipe was locked away to protect humanity from the devastating power, locked inside a combination of genetics that only a team of Uber-stoners would have the power to harness. This strain is very stable from the test runs and we are very excited about the yields we have seen. Jem777??s plants were literally sagging with huge glass like buds and the buzz is up, speedy, very shit eating grin and smiling like a Cheshire cat like high. It??s a bit smoother than JTR and has a different feel in the head less haze influence. I can??t tell where the ceiling is as every bowl I smoke I seem to get a bit higher until the point my vision blurs. Not for light weights and I cannot wait to see what it does when put into butter and then edibles.
JTR provides maximum pain relief but I think we have entered the mental arena with this hybrid. I can??t stop grinning.
1) Phenotypes ??Large Triangle shaped glass covered rock hard buds are all we see.
2) Height- Wide thick sweeping arms with weighted colas that need support after 50 days/medium
3) Yield-For a strain of this potency I think this thing yields like crazy.
4) Indoor has only been tested so far
5) Best way to grow- Topped and bound/Vegged to a large bush
6) Harvest Window-9 weeks
7) Sativa/Indica 85/15
8) Hybrid- Jack the Ripper X Space Queen
9) High type- Zooming, Happy, Grinning, anti depressant BIGTIME!
10) Smells It taste like NL5 to me but its very industrial with a slight citrus taste and a undertone of spice and hash
11) While resembling JTR this plant was much heavier due to the bud density and the over powering Lemon taste of JTR was calmed into a smoke that??s easier to intake and hold down.

Someone who I've been talking to has mentioned that Ortega and her descendants have anti-inflammatory properties- I'd like to know where they came from (ancestors) and how they have been passed along- what strains still carry that effect.
And do you know anything about an old school line called Afghani Dream?
Stinky all I know about the Ortega is it came from a small valley in southern Cali is leans to the Indica side. I read Arjan worked with her as well.
I thought the strain had good pain releief but was more of a mood elevating strain than anything else.

Querkle
Purple Urkle(Clone Only) X Space Queen( BCGA)
This Indica dominant hybrid has a great taste and out of a 5 plant test run all 4 females turned a nice shade of purple with warm temps throughout. Our goal was to recreate the nice grape flavor but ad some speed to the slow Urkle mom and the results are better than we expected and finding 2 keeper moms from the very small test run we did. Results from the field verify mild variation, good yields and fantastic flavor and colors.
1) Phenotypes ??Two main females one Short and very purple with grape flavors, the variation is a slightly more SQ dom with a taller frame and more sativa buzz.
2) Height- Short and dence does well un topped but faster than Urkle.
3) Yield-Medium to heavy if extended veg time is given mainly due to bud density.
4) Indoor has only been tested so far
5) Best way to grow-Vegged to a large bush Or untopped in scrog.
6) Harvest Window-8 weeks
7) Sativa/Indica 20/80
8) Hybrid- Urkle x Space Queen
9) High type- Indica head and grape taste make it total all day headstash.
10) Smells Grapes, fruit, berries, musty
11) One of my favorite things to smoke out of a clean bong the flavor is just amazing and IMO better than Mom.
This is my favorite phenotype Z

Killer Queen X Grimm male
This is the only remaining way to experience the creation that was Killer Queen. She is one of my all time favorite clones and the very first to be secured outside the US. She was used to create the now Infamous Dannyboy the strain created as a tribute to my best mate that passed in 2000.In 2005 the KQ mom was passed to a safe house and when it returned it seemed sick. Badboy ran her several times but she never returned to her self so she was culled. This new cross of BCGA's Killer Queen and our Grimm Male re combines the famed Cindy genes and provides us with a resinous marvel.
1. Phenotypes ??TGA??s Version of Killer Queen
2. Height-Medium stretch Grimm Like Bush
3. Yield-Medium / Lots of work trimming
4. Indoor/ Outdoor
5. Best way to grow- Topped and vegged to 30?
6. Harvest Window_7-8 weeks
7. Sativa/ Indica 60/40
8. Hybrid-Killer Queen X Grimm Male
9. High type-Early harvest is all about flavor, taken closer to 60 days the potency goes off the chart and it takes on more of a skunky flavor.
10. Known Phenotypes: Plants lean mostly toward the KQ mom but some more Cindy like females do occur
11. Over looked due to poor naming

This limited addition release has an amazing flavor and simply blew away everyone that tasted it in Amsterdam. I found the plant to be a tad leafy and more suited for making bubble but the bubble I made was really kick ass having a heavy fruit punch flavor and a deep red color.
Its no longer available.

SPACE JILL
Breeding Better Cannabis - part 2
Written by: Subcool
I have been growing for some twenty-five years now, and I have started hundreds of different strains in my life. Recently I decided to start some Space Queen that I had stashed for many years. Vic High originally created this cross using his Romulan and Cinderella-99. I was never a huge fan of Romulan, although I liked the exotic flavor of Romberry.
This is what Vic had to say about the Space Queen cross.
??Space Queen was the only reason I invested in C99 in the first place. Ever since I heard the description of Soul's princess I knew her and Romulan would be the perfect match. Then prototype crosses between P75 and Romberry started pumping out the winners that have found keeper status in many select gardens. Each of these keepers, exhibit a blend of the C-99 and the Romulan characteristics. Space Queen is a Romulan/C-99 hybrid. Flavor and potency are sure things; both parents are known for their high potency and great highs. Lemon, pine, and pineapple all swirl in a pungent bouquet to tantalize your taste buds!! Vigor will be outstanding and you'll be able to cut back on the light intensity somewhat Flowering time will be comparable to Romberry, averaging eight weeks but depending on grower and grow environment. Yield will be above average, but she won't be a top production plant. I hope she puts a smile on a few faces.?
We started a ten pack of seeds just too finally; give this strain a run organically. We selected the best four males and best four females. I??m sure I will catch some heat from the larger scale breeders for starting with such low numbers, but it is the only pack I had to work with. Each plant was labeled and photographed each week to record progress. Resin was forming extremely early on the stalks and the undersides of the leaf surfaces. By week three of the flowering process (twelve hours of light-twelve hours of dark) each female had taken on a wonderful Pineapple-Lemon-Mango smell.
We selected the male which was the slowest to show sex, this theory is based upon ??breeding selection processes? spelled out in my last article. We are looking for the ??recessive drug traits?? in the male rather than ??hemp dominant traits??. The male we choose was the very last to show sex and he best met all of our other selection criteria. (The other males were passed along to other TGA members for testing.) Large tight stamen clusters on a selected male is also a good indication of quality, as you can see; our dude has nice tight clusters. You can also see ??resin blobs?? on his empty stamens. I have never before been able to see the ??resinous glue?? on an empty stamen, mainly because I have just recently upgraded my camera and I am now able to photograph down to one centimeter. This male was tested by ??out-crossing?? with a known ??true breeding IBL?? Orange Skunk, known as Orange Velvet. The off-spring was grown-out to determine if the proper characteristics would be passed on. The out-cross of Orange Velvet and Space Queen was created by MzJill, the strain is known as Jilly Bean. This hot new strain is winning over gardens everywhere; with a dank orange-mango smell and more resin than the original Orange Velvet mom. My favorite phenotype smells like a candy store! We now have a male that we know will pass along the proper taste, potency and in the case of Orange Velvet, added yield as well.
The female Space Queens were labeled as follows; they also took on nick names or trait descriptions to help us keep better documentation of each.
A. Smallest over-all with a funky semi-rotting smell.
B. The most resinous nicknamed Frosty-Queen.
C. Best internodal spacing, potency and largest buds.
D. Jolly Rancher
The females grew rapidly during vegetation period.
*MzJill picked the phenotype labeled C, as the best based on internodal spacing and over all look. As they started flowering, phenotype C still stood out as the best looking, based on size and overall growth.
*The smallest phenotype appeared to have the most resin, B renamed Frosty Queen is over the top with raised trichomes, forming all the way to leaf edge and tip. This is probably the most photogenic plant. You can see the raised trichomes and amazing coverage of resin.
*There is a red phenotype, labeled as D but renamed as Jolly Rancher. It is the strangest and the most unlike the other three. It has a hint of cherry and extremely red pistils that really stand out as the colas dry. My favorite of the four is A. It is less fruity than B and C and has the smell of Genius and Apollo-13. I say it smells like ??baby poo?? but that??s not right really. It smells of slightly rotten fruit, a slight pungency mixed with fruit and citrus. It was not a heavy yielder. The plant only yielded forty-eight grams on a five-foot bush with four heads, so she was culled. She has been passed along to SunyCheba for safe keeping.
MzJill was completely right about phenotype C. She just became a tremendous plant with large dripping colas that started plumping after day fifty of flowering. She smells a lot like C-99, she has a sweet smell that reminds me of Granny Smith Apples cooked in vanilla. She yielded more than any other plant with four mass heads that just look like showcase nugs. As Phenotype C started curing the nugs took on a candy-like smell with a hint of apples, lime-green in color with bright orange and red hues accented by brilliant resin production. In sunlight it looks like jewelry sparkling like diamonds.
At three weeks of curing the unique cherry smell of D or Jolly Rancher, seems to have faded and although the buzz is extreme, it doesn??t measure up to the other three and will be culled from the heard. Phenotype B known as Frosty Queen may be too small to keep for long term but for now she makes a great head stash with amazing cream colored kief. I still like the flavor of Phenotype A but she grows like a vine and is a bit hard to manage, so time will tell. Phenotype C will be in our garden for a long time and is used as our P1 mom for our Space Queen F2, aka, Space Jill. MzJill still keeps a jar of Space Queen, phenotype C, as head-stash. So now we have a proven male based on out-crossing with a known IBL (Orange Velvet) and we have a female of the Space Queen strain that would be a prize in any garden.
We grew out a good sized Space Queen C and placed her into flowering time, seven days prior to starting the male to assure a good amount of pistils to be pollinated. The male will start to show flowers at fourteen days and by twenty-one days the first stamen will open. We place the female in a room completely separate from our main growing area and place a fan in the room. Jill and I both like to use barely open male stamens to sprinkle grains onto each bud and try and capture the grains of pollen falling in the air. The plants spend a few days together under a 400 watt light with the fan gently blowing the pollen all over the female as each stamen opens. After three full days the female is then removed and rinsed repeatedly with water to de-activate the pollen and make any loose grains non-viable.
It takes a full forty-five to fifty days from this point (after pollination) for the seeds in this particular hybrid, to mature, every cross is different and some may take much longer to fully mature. We generally wait until we can actually see mature seeds protruding from the calyx. We pulled a test bud at sixty-five days flower and ran a germ test on one-hundred seeds and got a ninety-five percent germ rate after the seeds dried for two full weeks. The resulting cross was grown-out in test gardens. The cross took on the nickname Space Jill because MzJill was the one who knew which female was the best long before it had buds. The hybrid has quickly become a favorite because the first one-thousand seeds were given away as freebies. Usually free seeds are not primo, but in this case I had a few people tell me they liked the Space Jill more than the more expensive crosses.
We liked the attributes and stability of the Space Queen male, now known as Space Dude. He has been used in out-crosses with Apollo-13, creating the Vortex; Jacks Cleaner, creating Jack The Ripper and Sweet Tooth #3, creating Space Tooth. We continue to work with this line to improve upon other crosses or to bring a ??clone-only?? strain to seed form so that others may enjoy the dankness. We are now working on a UK Cheese X Space Dude (Space Queen male) cross, so that I may enjoy that famous strain without obtaining a clone myself. Space Dude is one of our ??work horse?? males, now we can use him to add flavor and resin along with potency to almost any hybrid cross.

So we now had a Purple plant that I loved the looks the flavor even the buzz in the mornings. Black Russian even has scissor goo that looks like grape taffy. The problem is I am known for devastating potency and incredible raised trichomes. Now if you follow us at all you know I think Grimm??s Apollo-13 is the cure all to lack of potency and so far I have been absolutely correct. So we take a male using our same criteria with a new twist, we budded all the males out and selected the one with the most purple coloring. Now we can have a month long discussion on botany and argue if this works or not or like we did make it and grow it out and see what happens.
What happened was amazing!
We also use the power of the internet and through auction release the new hybrid to hundreds of growers all across the land. What we found out is there are two basic phenotypes in SP 1 a Pink/purple pheno that is much better than Black Russian with hint of A-13 and a great deal more resin than any of the BR phenotypes. This was about what I expected in the outcross and we ran Pinky several times enjoying every bud, but more so it was just an amazing plant to take pictures of so I kept it around J
The other phenotype was the big surprise. About day 30 the White phenotype we nick named simply whitey was forming a much more dense Cola and had a smell that reminded me of Fanta Blue Cream Soda. As time went out say week 6 in 12/12 she started smelling nasty like rotting turkey of something bizarre past day 56 she started getting sweet but the weird meat or stale refrigerator smell kinda lingered in the bottom. We jarred it and I didn??t touch it for a few weeks. One morning I was surprised at a sweet/sour smell that was very nice and that cream soda smell had returned. I smoked a few bowls while answering e-mails and all the sudden noticed I was extremely high. My peripheral vision was shot and space and time slowed to a crawl.
Later I sent some samples to TOB and she commented it made her trees seem cartoon like. I knew we had a winner and released it.
So now I have an established dank color strain but I am more intrigued with the Whitey genetics. We crack a load of Sputnik 1 and select a male that does not have any purple traits visible. We later learned it was still passed on but in smaller percentages. The coolest thing is Apollo-13 taken late past 65 days gets color as well!

So we grow out Sp 2 and basically we have a mystery. Its really good like as good or in some cases better than the A-13? It looks extremely similar to Apollo but has a added sweet taste that is very pleasing. We are also pleased to say that the Pink/Purple gene still lurks inside the Sp 2 just at a much lower percentage.
There are only a few packs of this strain left and Non left of Sputnik 1.0

What would happen if we combined the genes of three ultra potent Elite strains all with very different flavors but similar high types? This is the question I set out to answer when creating our new release ??The Third Dimension?. The strain Apollo-13 has long been a favorite of mine and many other collectors, it has a very unusual taste and an amazing high. Only 500 of these seeds were ever produced and those lucky enough to grow her never let her go. I have focused a good deal of my breeding efforts in back crossing her looking for the best make up to create an Apollo like hybrid in seed form. We have out crossed her with Black Russian, Space Queen and Now a Combination of SQ and Jacks Cleaner. The second part of the make up is Space Queen a BCGA hybrid of Romulan and Cindy99 and delicious cross with a candy/mango flavor.
The final part of this potent three way is of course my famed Jacks Cleaner mom. If it sounds complicated it was and also a lot of work but thanks to the great people at Heads you will be the first to hear about the project.
Having had great success with our cross Jack the Ripper (JC X SQ) we decided to work with a male and pollinate the Apollo as we also use her to test a males attributes in a known cross. This means we have made a lot of hybrids using her and by growing out her off spring we can determine if he is a good male or not lending either potency and or a different flavor. Once the seeds were mature and removed from the buds I allow the outer husk to dry for 2 weeks and then I refrigerate them for 2 nights stimulating winter, this also removes moisture as well. I am going to try something a bit differently here and pretend I am your average Joe Stoner growing some plants and only having room to start 2 seeds. This will narrow my odds considerably getting a keeper mom but it??s the same real world choices you guys make everyday when it comes to making some head stash of quality meds. I started the seeds in Rapid rooters and transplanted once they established roots. The plants grew very well and under a 400 watt MH grew up fast, I was able to sex one of these at least a full 2 weeks earlier than the other, well that question has been answered and started just 2 seeds we have had great luck and have 2 females. They??re starting to mature enough that there taking on noticeable characteristics. I don??t see a huge difference in the two plants and at 30 days they look pretty much alike.
I am happy so far with this initial run and I can see traits from both mother and father. I mentioned one reason for this cross is to learn how dominant the JTR father we have chosen is going to be. JC parents are known to dominate crosses and Apollo-13 is or base line female since I have grown it out so many times and now also bred with her working this sibling cross will give me a good indication of how the father will react with other moms with use. The plants were transplanted into 5 gallon containers and topped to form a nice bush and when they hit 24? in height they were budded.
These are the signs I am looking for,
Early resin with fast formation of trichome heads and quick maturation of same. This will indicate a Apollo-13 dominant trait. Also I am looking for the weird funk/spice smell A-13 has to shine through and I have that as well. Now I am not testing the strain so much as running it for my own pleasure but while I am at it I will take notes on things to look for in larger generations. One day we will select either Vortex or The Third Dimension to keep as a main TGA strain but for now we can all enjoy the journey. It??s no secret I am a big fan of what Mr Soul did and I am just playing along following the path he blazed.
The shorter female I am extremely excited about having started only 2 seeds and finding an Apollo dominant female means to me anyone getting a pack has a very good chance of it as well. At day 28 she already smells like Apollo momma, heavy resin and short structure with thicker stems is dead on target I couldn??t wait to see what the second half of bud growth brings to us.
Day 35 and beyond
You never stop learning and the biggest leap forward in knowledge has been working closely with both Apollo and JC as well as the man plant Space Dude. We are learning what is locked inside the JTR male visually at first and by this point by fragrance. First off. The Apollo dominant female we call Jane is spot on the mark with A-13 looks and traits with a beefier frame and an added sweet I can??t place yet. Maybe from the Cindy but I was hoping for this exact make up in a female.
At 35 days you can see trichomes that are fully amber just like with A-13 and most are fully formed so were taking speed from the mom and the Bi-father SQ. I added support stakes after this shoot but I could have gone longer A-13 won??t stand up at all at this stage and that alone is a huge plus. I will of course stay on top of this so we can see what we have created. I am also happy to announce that unlike some of our gear this is a Sub project and you won??t see it going away of running out of stock. Just the outcross of JC x SQ and then selecting a male took over a year I don??t plan on loosing my male.
The sativa Dominant female is starting to pack on the buds though and this girl may get huge and hopefully not take forever. She stretched like crazy and I was sure at this point based on smell and resin build up, the buzz will be very speedy with high THC content with virtually no CBD??s, the taste to me is kinda metallic to go along with the spicy smell.
As the Indica reached maturity she took on very tropical smells almost like a Pina Colada or some other frozen drink containing fruits and pineapple. The resin continued to expend and she matured very rapidly. I took her at about day 50 and she was just dripping with resin and gave up 2 ounces of dried cured buds. For a plant not even 36? tall finished I am happy with the results and will keep her in my garden.
Here are my smoke notes
Toke 1#
Sampling very small micro nugs so they will be dry. Inhale is smooth and reminds me of a passion fruit drink I used to get in summer camp. Exhale is smooth and also surprisingly sweet. Instant lobe floating and I started smiling the second I exhaled.
Toke #2
Large inhale and crosses my eyes.
Excuse me one second
Subcool does the happy dance across the Room ??IT TASTE GOOD! I am getting High!
Ok that??s what they call a conniption fit I believe.
Toke #3
Our bongs a simple straight glass piece with a large water bin.
I use a simple cheap V shaped 3 hit that I pack about ¾ full and I pull it through in one hit clearing the toob as well. Sticky takes about 3 hits to my one and this is not a diss to Sticky but a reference as to how large a hit I take.
I exhale a cloud
The Buzz on the Indica was soft and pleasant and I sat staring at my pc for quite awhile but I didn??t feel the need for a pot nap but ended up doing a photo shoot. I found myself smoking a lot of this strain in the following week even though I have full jars of some of my other favorites.
The sativa took a full 9 weeks to mature and as predicted the buzz was very racey and not to my liking however a good friend of mine that loves the energy head buzz of pure like sativas absolutely loves it. Even though the plant was very tall it??s total yield was only 3 ounces. I did a smoke test on this one and found the smoke to be flat as airy buds tend to be but after 3 hits I was soaring along jamming to music and smiling my ass off.
No one would complain about its potency and high but its not up to my standards on taste but variety is the spice of life!
The results of my little ??plant 2 seeds? idea went very well and I pulled almost 5 ounces and some amazing bubble hash from these two plants. The Indica has been cloned and topped and is just entering bud as I type this ending. I am happy to give this one my stamp of approval!

Thats an easy call JTR and Querkle are both Very short and easy to grow plants. I do not top mine they stay so short and fat. The JTR is maybe the most potent plant we have seen and if we would have had enough since to provide the HT crew with an ounces instead of just the judges maybe it wouldnt have been taken and smoked. Querkle is all about Grapes and Indica :)
