problem with medical collectives

im a medical patient and i found that when ever i smoke collective cannabis it doesnt get me high. Is there anything i can ask them prior to my purchase to make sure its real cannabis and is there any way to find out it is real cannabis and not just a hemp flower cured.
for some reason i feel like im being ripped off and this is happening at more than one collective. Does anyone have any advice? Does anyone own or work at a collective in so cali that could guarantee me real cannabis? im a medical patient and it really is discomforting not getting real medicine.

Don't know where in Cali you are, I'm in SoCal and I used this one: Home Page They were very professional, prompt and what I got is definatly real.

i understand what you're talking about romdog as i am a medical patient here in colorado and many times i find the medicine i'm paying 10-15 dollars/gram is lacking. i asked the owner and operator of our numero uno dispensery here what the deal was and he gave me a list of reasons.
1. different strains for different illnesses hense the detailed follow up from the dispensaries medical staff to see what works best and for who.
2. many dispensaries try to milk their medicine for all it's worth. meaning the herb you get in the end has been rolled on the keif screens to press pucks and then sell them for 30-70/gram keif depending on strain.
3. different growers = different potentcy of medicine. some dispensaries when starting out don't have a medicinal hook or if they know a few growers those growers might still be fine tuning their techniques.

as far as not getting the quality of medicine in cali my first response would be to of course grow you own, but that is not a realistic option for everyone so possibly talk to other patients via support group or the interweb. good luck with your quest...

yeah idk where in Cali ud find fake weed cuz surely a dispensary would be shut down for that, all the medicinals i got n cali were in the Bay Area and you could def tell it was medicals cuz it was strong, like real strong...pungent smell from 20 feet away or more..etc

what is that legal bud all about? is that just hemp with no thc? is that what they could be selling me if it has absolutely no effect.

medical marijuana in california is primo. this makes no sense to me, post some pictures of this herb you are smoking.

The gal brought me 2 different bags and told me to mix them, and as a new member I got a free glass pipe. Prompt and descrite, I was very pleased. OH, and very potent, you and everyone else knows you have some pot there!

Where in SoCal is that located? There are a few very passionate co-ops here in the valley, you just have to find them.

i placed an order with the co op website you gave me. I hope its good stuff i think its called sour kush or something (crosses fingers) i could just have the higest tolerance ever but i dont think thats it. I will try to post a pic but just imagine a big fat nug thats exactly what it looks like, only thing i can think of is ive been getting hemp becuase they both look and smell the same. BTW on the website it says you get a free gram if you refer someone i dont know if you want your free gram.

Fake cannabis???? You should try the better strains, like train wreak, NYC deisl, Bluberry, bubblegum, did you get the mexican, cause I seen some of those places sell mexi herb too

Cool, didn't know that, do tell how it works out for you, I would like to think I'm not alone in being pleased with them!

i got my delivery (the guy got a little lost) but it was good smelling and tasting stuff. I think my problem is that i am on heavy meds for anxiety and insomnia so that might be canceling out my high. What i can do suburbanlifemom is next time i order remind them it is my second time and tell them suburbanlifemom from cannabis forum refered me. Then you will get a free gram. Tell me if that sounds ok with you.

oh yeah dont go to the long beach vapor lounge or the whittier collective. Both of them have ripped me off big time selling legal buds that dont get you high. Its a shame at those two places.

Hmm thats weird dude. I use to take lots of heavy and strong medications but the medical bud always got me high.

What a lot of people don't seem to understand about the co-ops in California, is that they operate just like any other business does. Some have great service and high quality products, some have crap that they try to sell as high quality. Use discretion when selecting a co-op!! Never be exclusive to one, always test as many out as you can to weed out, (no pun intended), the good from the bad. I tried posting a site name for an incredibly valuable source for finding reviews of co-ops, but the name was edited out so I'll just say google around and you should be able to find it. I've only been to one co-op myself but everytime I go there I wish I tried another place, so I will next time. It's not that they have bad quality, everything I've gotten was great, however, I don't think they really know what they have because the strains are never strains I've ever heard of, and good luck if you have a specific strain you are looking for because their selection is really tiny lol. The people working don't seem to know much either, I asked the guy which ones were indicas and judging from the response he gave me I swear he was thinking "what the hell is indica?" lol I'm definitely going to test the waters at another place!

Hemp doesnt have flowers main not like buds anyway hemp just gives you a headache
