It really depends on what you are looking for. All-organic is usually soil-based, but under hydro, you control every single thing that goes into your plant, so you can maximize yield/quality of each plant specifically, thus providing a better produce. However, with hydro grows, the nutrients are usually synthetic (not natural) unless they are extract or something. But I'd prefer a hydro grow for quality, but if you have a green thumb, you can pretty much get alot of good out of a soil grow as well. Also, I find that soil grows typically yield much larger (however, that may just be what I've seen.)
I favor none. Hydro is good, but so is soil. Hydro is just overrated in being the best shit, novice smokers always expect it to be better than "regular weed", (i.e. "yo man this is fuckin hydro right here you'll get fucked up") etc etc.
wat ive found is that hydro grows quicker , but soil has a nicer taste , so mmmmmmmmmm which 1 ? :thumbsup:
All about prefrence , enviroment , wallet size .
1000w. 2 plants dwc/drip combo . 5 mos later = 34 oz.

i have never done a hydro grow yet but i am really interested in DWC buckets for both mothers and seed/clone producing stock under a small light. next project is.... i really like soil and even better, outdoors as a personal choice.

hmmmmm well i started off in soil and moved onto hydro quite quickly and found it to be easier to control.anyone with fish tank/water chemistry knowledge should find it easy.

I like how utterly forgiving soil is, and I do think it does taste better. I started growing about the same time as a friend, who went hydro from the start, neither of us with any prior experience growing anything at all. He ended up frying three crops (broken pump, misread the nutes once, dunno what happened the third time). So a year later and he still had basically nothing to show for his effort and investment, while I just kept chugging along happily with soil and at the end of the year had a refrigerator full of jars full of cured and/or curing kickass stuff. He finally got his shit together, and he now (finally) outproduces me, but he agrees, mine tastes better, even when they're clones from the same mother. But he's in it solely for the money, so he's happy with hydro. Me, well, money isn't bad or anything, but I'll generally choose quality over quantity, and have no regrets sticking with soil.
