hey hey everyone,

on saturday, i'm leaving the south and moving up to maine. where i'm moving to is pretty far out in the country, so i'll only have dial up...so i won't be on canna.com too too much, due to the frustrations and hassles of having to wait forever for pages to load with dial up. i know i haven't really been on here that much at all recently anyways, but that's just because i've been at my parents' house and busy all the time.

but i will be on and posting here and there :)

just wanted to let my fellow stoners on here know about my change in location, and my reason for not being on much.

i'm not really too too religious, but i do need all the prayers i can get on this one. i'm in a really tough situation right now, and i just really need all the prayers and support i can get. so that's all i'm asking for from y'all, for those of you who are religious. it would mean a lot to me for y'all to keep me in your prayers.

i'm gonna miss being on here all the time...i love y'all!!!

Maine is a BEAUTIFUL place. There is such a tranquility about it.
It's a culture shock but once you get used to it, you won't want to go back to the hustle and bustle of city/burb life.
You'll be in my prayers for happiness and peace of mind.
Seriously, people on high speed are so spoiled. lol Dial up isn't all that bad once you get used to it.
Everything is a matter of getting used to.
Besides, if you have a view of the southern sky hughsnet is there to help. :)

How bad do you want high speed? If you want to spend the extra money you might want to look into getting a broadband wireless card. Which, as the title says, it a wireless card that you can get high speed internet from. So if you want it you might want to look into whether you can get it in your area or not.

and my laptop already has a wireless card built in. but it's so far out in the country that i dont even think i could get a signal. and i can't really afford to get wireless right now :(

Ok, you don't want to confuse the two. That card picks up signals from a router and has a very short range. The thing I'm talking about is a card that you plug into your laptop and picks up a signal from a satellite.

idk a lot about the service but I think the cards are like 300 bucks new and then you have to buy the service, but I think you can probably get the cards cheaper on ebay or something. They're just like cellphones for internet. But I know very little about it.

oooooooooooooo ouch i would not have that kind of extra money. part of the thing with my moving to maine is that i'm gonna have to save as much money as possible so i can move back and pay for school. so i cant drop that much or even anywhere near that much on something like that. i think i can deal with the dial-up lol :)

hahahah i think every stephen king novel is based in maine ;) and i love his novels...i'm actually taking one on the plane with me :D needful things is one of my faves. and pet semetary is one of my fave movies :)
