Absolutely. Yes.

Even if you get a high-level clearance, they can only ask 3 questions about your mental competency.
thanks for all the answers.. you guys have been a great help
Heres how it works...
1) You go see your doctor and get your recommendation
2) You take your doctors recommendation to your local dept of health
All they do is print out a state-recognized ID card that is basically proof of legitimacy.
You're not going to be added to some database, and your medical records are not going to be revealed... All they want is proof that your doctor honestly feels that you will benefit by using cannabis medicinally
good luck :)
I looked up a list of local prescribers on the CaNorml.org site, you can search via zip code. Picked one close, I had ordered my medical records, but they did not get here in time so I went without them. I was told to bring all my meds, which I did, a few other people there also had bags of meds with them, but none did I see with medical records. Paid $150 to see the doctor, $10 for a prescription card, all taken up front and non-refundable if not approved. The doctor looked at the 3 pages of information I had to fill out, but he never looked at my meds themselves. He never really discussed with me my pain level or what I wanted the medical marijuana to do for me. General questions, 10 minutes later I had my certificate. Now, I do have solid medical reasons, I would imagine, dependant on specific people and their proof of need, it may not be as easy, maybe so. The doctor had appointments scheduled every 10 minutes, that says something right there. The caregivers who distribute are awesome, super anxious to help, but they, or at least around here, are going to want around $140 minimum order each delivery, so all in all, a very pricey venture, so be prepared for that going the legal route.
Is it the same in Northern Cal? I have all my medical records and my meds as well.so do I stand a decent chance for my card?
Word up. Just be sure to have your 150$ and 1-2 hours of time lol. Oh and med reccords or prescriptions.Quote:

The state has no records of what my medical history is, and your medical records are used to verify you have a condition that marijuana can treat. Nothing is added to your records, however, you might be amazed at how detailed your records can be. I was expecting a few pages but the lady came back with a friggen book lol.Quote:
