my plants are yellow at tips with spots on the older fan leaves and really droopy on the new growth i put cal-mag in on monday 3 tsps in my 2 gallon res and i use distilled water. is this enough cal-mag or do i need more i just added 2 tsp more and im thinking about dumping my res. i have had other threads with pics

You may have other problems. Look at the questions in the troubleshooting sticky and answer them as best you can.
Follow the calmag instructions on the bottle.

Okay you look pretty good all around. I was wondering if you had a pH problem that was locking out important nutrients, and/or a temps problem that was making you see symptoms even in a situation that would otherwise have been only slightly 'off'.
So just get going on that CalMag, and you can do a foliar feed with a micro supplement such as GH Micro to stop the problem spreading while your plant starts to uptake the new fertilizer.
The old yellow leaves won't heal, but new growht will be much healthier.

Go grab yourself some of that GH micro QUICK and apply it to your plants as a foliar feed. That will buy you a little time anyway; if you don't have an EC meter the hydro shop SHOULD be able to test the ppms of your res solution- take a sample of a res that is freshly mixed and filled.

Isn't that what happens (leaves curling down, burning etc.) when you over do the Bushmaster?
6.5 is too high for your ph....drop it down to 5.8.

i put in less then the bottle said to in the res and then i only put in a little in 16 ounces of water to foilar feed should i stop the bushmaster? im a 1st time grower so i dont know if thats what happens when you use bushmaster
Number one....stop the bushmaster. If it's in your res dump everything and start over. If you don't know what Bushmaster does why are you using it?
2. Fresh rez with this in it only: Distilled water.......CalMag....to 600ppms.......If your Flora Bloom is one part (it is...isn't it?) then add 600ppms of it to make a total of 1200.
thats all .....NOTHING ELSE.
3. Adjust ph to 5.5-6.0 and do not let it wander beyond this. Check it several times a day if you have to.
4. keep your room temp and water temp within the recommended range.

i know what bushmaster does i was saying i was a first time grower and in a reply someone asked " isnt that what happens when you over due bushmaster " and i was saying first time using it so i dont know if that is what happens . this is the ferts im usings Brew&Grow - GENERAL HYDROPONICS FLORANOVA BLOOM i have the grow version but not using now. i just dumped my res and their is only distilled water in it i am going out for awhile and when i come home tonight i will check back to see if my ferts change any of your advise then i will add 600ppm of cal-mag and 600 ppm of fertsQuote:

Yer overdoing the Bushmaster. Should be applied ONCE, wait to see if vertical growth ceases- you should know in 3-5 days. If it doesn't, hit em ONE more time, and put it away- yer done till next run. PGR's aren't something that you use over and over.
Skip the spray-n-grow for a week or two, then start using it once a week tops. If you're not sucking macros out of the res, you don't need the micros.
Good.....now wait and watch your ph. it's been fairly off at 6.5 (like Stinky said...the very edge of normal) and so keep a close eye out for overfert.....suddenly the ph is lower and may affect how much nutes your plants uptake. ;)Quote:

i ran bushmaster for 3 days like the bottle said and this video i got with my grow box said to use a mix of spray and grow and bushmaster as a foial spray 2 times a week.. i have stopped the sprays and wont use bushmaster anymore on this growQuote:

The Bushmaster should be run in one of two ways -
1) Added to a res and swapped out after three days or
2) Applied as a foliar once, w/ re-dose in inneffective 3-5 days later.
The Spray-n-Grow is recc'd by manufacturer for use once weekly - 2x weekly only for plants showing a severe deficiency.
The only Humboldt's product that you apply regularley thru flowering is their Stacker/Purplemaxx ( same product re-labeled). With any of their products, it's important not too stress the plants for 48-72 hours post-application. They'll tend to make the plants very sensitive to heat, drought, over-fert, overwatering, etc. I'd never hit a less than healthy plant w/ a Humboldt's product- likely to kill em.
Flush hard before you harvest.
Read and remember!!! Bloom boosters are for HEALTHY plants. Humbolt's need great care taken in application. It's not like, if you misuse them you won't get the benefits... if you misuse them you won't get much of ANYTHING!Quote:
