My Homemade Wooden Pipe (WIP)
Thanks beavermint64 and choppile420 for inspiring me to stay up till 3:30 am to make a wooden pipe. I grabbed a branch off my lemon tree and mesquite tree. The lemon Branch was for the stem and the mesquite was for the bowl. Living in Arizona has its downs considering its about a 100 degree's in a garage at night .. geeze I was pouring sweat. But It was well worth it. After hours looking for my power drill. I cut the lemon Branch in sections because my drill bids weren't long enough to go through all the way. So after drilling the hole for the pipes stem I grabbed a saw and flashlight climbed about 10 feet into my damn tree and started sawing. LMFAO I'm crazy I know. After getting a 2" thick piece back to my garage i went. Carved it into a nice bowl shaped it to the shape i wanted with my trusty swiss army knife. Damn those things are great. Drilled the bowl with a wood bid and then finished of making the hole to connect the bowl to the stem. I happened to have some amazing goop which is suppose to be the worlds gnarliest glue. Pieced my baby together making sure that no holes we clogged with the glue. And it is semi dry this afternoon . Here are some pictures!! I am planning on sanding it to make it nice and smooth then painting it with acrylic paint and adding a clear coat.

Thats dope, Its one of the more professional ones I have seen. I like the stem a lot.

If Jed Clampet smoked weed, he'd smoke it out of that!
My Homemade Wooden Pipe (WIP)
ok i made a sherlock similar to yours except i havent sanded it down so there is glue still on the joins but here it is....
My Homemade Wooden Pipe (WIP)
That's awesome. I would sand it down but I don't think I would paint it, it already looks awesome the paint might wreck it.
My Homemade Wooden Pipe (WIP)

Drove my ass all the way to walmart which was an accomplishment on its own and they only had shitty testor acrylic paint which would turn out like shit so I didn't get to paint it yet. tomorrow im going to Michaels or whatever to get some good shit. Will hit you up with pictures and soon smoke report

***Smoke Report***
" If these last two posts I made can somehow get edited into the main post I made to make it more accessible that would be great, -Gorlax!"
I ran to my local Michaels or whatever that hobby old lady shop is and grabbed some nice paints; acrylic if your wondering. Also getting clear coat sealer to give it a nice shine. I did a few coats of the paint and added some minor black splotches to make it seem as it was aged wood. Then looked at the sealer it said it took 1-2 weeks to cure. Now that was too long to wait till smoke so I left the sealer off until I felt ready to use it. The paint dried relatively quick and I recently had picked up some what I call Juicy Fruit. Packed this bad boy with its fatty bowl to the top. Then I just sat back and relaxed enjoying the stars with my completely homemade wooden stove top pipe. The first bowl was not the best. Since the bowl had been charred with butane lighter for a while it had a bitter charcoal taste, After I got that all smoked up and loaded another bowl. This time the Juicy Flavor was surely getting better. At the end of smoking all my Buddha The pipe had been broken in to perfection. For Something that I made out of a tree limb and branch is a huge accomplishment to actually get a good smoke with it. That had to be one of my most lay backed weed moments ever.
Im sure that when I go to get some resin it will be awesome because I will easily be ale to scrape it and get a little mesquite tree flavor with the resin. hehe...
Well im sorry I don't have picture yet of what I got painted. Im quite baked right now so i'm not sure working a camera is on my mind. lol or my ability. Soon To update

I think that is excellent and I have always thought mesquite could be a good stock for a bowl. It is very hard, twisty, and gnarly like briar. You should make more and when you get them very nice and professional looking you could sell them. If you don't have a lathe you should find a friend who has one and borrow it.

That looks so cool! I thought it was bamboo for a second. Now I gotta go find some bamboo for myself, that looks classy.
My Homemade Wooden Pipe (WIP)
this is mine im going to paint it later i wish i had a better camera

Cool. It look awesome. Let me know how it taste after you pack a bowl. I know different wood give different taste. I made one using a wood I found in nature.... once I made it into a bowl... Packed it up... smoked it... and the wood make my smoke taste like shit. Found me a oak once and made it into a pipe... it make the smoke very flavorable!!

Ok Got the updated pics with the paint and the sealer or whatever. Can't use it for a week because it has to cure but I snapped these shots before I sat it off to dry.

That's impressive, Gorlax. How long was it until you completed the prototype (without paint and sanding)?
My Homemade Wooden Pipe (WIP)
Not too Sure Think I started at 10:00 P.M But spent 2 hours looking for damn power drill and finished off at 3:30 A.M. About 4 Hours
Thanks for all the comments!!!
