How to get your phone tapped by the FBI: The coolest prank call ever!

Ok.. so I'm pretty sure my phone got tapped by the FBI (could have been the Secret Service, but that's besides th point)... before you call bullshit rad the whole story...

So the other night someone in the chat was dropping out phone numbers and telling people to call them, i thought this seemed rather absurd as it is never a good idea to post your number in chat. So I jokingly said that the next number posted I was going to call. I dont remember who, but someone posted another number. I made good on what I said and entered in the number after hitting *67 to blick the call, however I wasnt prepared for the answer on the other line... The conversation went as such.

[Phone rings once]
WH: "Hello, White House"
Me::wtf:"...THE White House?"
WH: "That's correct sir"
*At this point I probably should have hung up, but I had been smoking so my judgement wasn't the best and I wanted to have a little fun with this*
Me: "...Well, May I speak to the president?"
WH: "The president is unavailable"
Me: "Oh, will he be free in an hour?"
WH: "No sir, the president is unavailable"
Me: "How about later this evening?"
WH: "The president is unavailable"
Me: "Ok well, I'll try back another day"
*Really shouldn't have said that^*

So the next day all the calls I made and received seemed to have a slight clicking noise in the background, which I've been told a phoneline will do when it is being tapped. My phone continued to do this until earlier this evening when I got a call and the clicking was not present... thought you guys would get a kick out of this, I certainly did :thumbsup::jointsmile:

My dad is a photographer and he got clearance to take pictures of Bush

He said he was joking around with a secret service agent about the show 24 lol

I can now say "My dad shot the president"

why the hell would i want the fbi to tap my calls, i didnt expect to be speaking to the white house, and i didnt expect them them to tap my calls, i didnt really say anything offensive in that call... the thread title was sarcastic, and i highly doubt i'll hear anymore about it then the one day of phone tracing

but yeah, maybe i am nuts :p:yippee::woohoo:

When my mother was a teenager, During WWII, she worked as an operator for the phone company in upstate New York. A guy in her town would call every day and always ask whatever operator he got to put in a person-to-person call for him to Adolph Hitler, in Berlin, Germany, and they were required to do it.

Hitler never took the call.

As ghost stated "So I jokingly said that the next number posted I was going to call." chances are the people were dropping numbers that were of a similar nature in hope someone would call them. Then after ghost said that, the jokers could have thought about pulling a fly one on ghost himself, which it seems they did. So chances are it did in fact happen.

My phonelines have been tapped a few times....seems someone thinks i'm in on the drug trade around here....but thats pretty funny..."my dad shot the president".

I once knew a guy who claimed he accidentally pranked called the White House by dialing 112233445566778899. I've never tried the number, so I don't know, but still I'm reminded. It also reminds me of the time I accidentally prank called 9-1-1 of some out-of-state city by reversing a phone number of a radio station. Yeah, folks, you can "accidentally" call 9-1-1!
